Drift App 2.6

They removed an important feature. Prior to firmware 2.4 I could stream video to my phone while recording. After the update that feature went away but appeared on the newer ghost S model. Obvious attempt to force an upgrade.. never buying drift again

It was very easy connecting to my phone and changing the settings. I lije tge fact that you can keep the camera at distance and still control it thanks to the WiFi. However, it crashed twice while I was changing the video settings. Restarting the app and camera fixed the crashes, tho.

Alot of issues with the app. Needs to be redesigned and working for multiple models and android versions. Wifi disconnects sometimes on motorbike at 70mph+. App doesnt close and connect to camera again. No option to turn off live streaming to reduce lag and connection issues. Menus are confusing and need simplifying and use standard designs. Please fix.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews of the app but it seems to work on my Samsung galaxy s5. The only negative I have is the 5 second delay I seem to be getting with the live feed. Playback and everything else seems to be functioning fine

Galaxy S4 mini. Connects via wifi but then the app displays a blank screen. Also tried the iPhone app which at least loads but doesn't display the camera feed and crashes almost straight away.

This app needs a lot of work i cant see the menu when watching a video and doesnt download the video to my phone and if it starts to i cant close out of the screen to so something else because it stops the download and i have to start all over again a lot of improvements need to be made...

Good enough to check camera alignment and hit record, but playback freezes and stops, download to sd fails (NaN error), delete doesn't work and files are listed without thumbnails or filenames. This app needs some work and proper testing. Waiting for a new version to fix these issues... HTC One m8 with lollipop

When I decide to stop using the app, it puts me into a loop where I can't exit and it keeps prompting me to read instructions on how it works. I always have to Force Stop it. Otherwise, it's good.

It connects and it seams to work. Make sure u dont have the remote active/connected to the camera, else the app wont work. It is glitchy and it doesnt work quite as good on all devices. On Samsung Galaxy S3 mini with latest firmware the image is very noisy. On eBoda Izzycomm Z700 the image is acceptable. The app seams great but could use improvments.

Tried this app on my galaxy note 4, galaxy s3 and htc desire hd. Non of them would work. After spending £250 on the camera i was looking forward to this. I think i might get a refund and buy a go pro. I know they work.

Update your firmware it's easy and available on drift innovation website. Why it doesn't tell you this in big letters in the manual I do not know but it fixes the lag and connection issue immediately. Only 3 stars because I still have to close app after deleting videos from Gallery before they disappear despite pressing refresh. And because after downloading a video to my phone it's not actually download anywhere I can find it.

So yeah, simply put it won't work at all. I'm on Android 6 and it won't connect to my Stealth 2. From what I've read and judging by the fact this version hasn't been updated in well over a year it appears Drift have given up on the app. My camera was £99 so not a huge issue but if I'd paid double for one of the swankier models I'd be disappointed. Bad work Drift. Pull your collective fingers out and get this updated and working for modern phones.

Every time I connect my ghost-s it always changes my default FOV from 160 to 90. Sometimes I get a change from 60fps to 30fps. I hope to see more updates soon to compliment my awesome camera.

Have only ever gotten this app to work once.. Nexus 5 (Lollypop). Given no Firmware updates for the Drift-S for a year and that the Drift Stealth has a completely different app. I think Drift have given up the Ghost ;) (any future support)

Don't even bother installing if you has galaxy s5 or galaxy tab pro. Keeps crashing as soon as it connects to the camera

Even the link for firmware in the description is broken. I thought the software might be more stable now that the drift ghost s has been around for a few years. Unfortunately not!

Gave feedback to Drift but no help from them yet. Now June 2015 and still does not work. The app states cannot connect to internet and closes on my phone or tablet. Crap. Wish I'd bought a GoPro

I have a Samsung Note 3. App keeps stopping and restarting. Seriously crap especially considering the cost of the camera. Very disappointed! !! Shame as recording quality is excellent.

Please maintain this app or release a public camera API so that I and others can build replacement companion apps.

Sad to say, it's heavier than a go pro, the software is horrible to try and connect on your phone- ever hear of wifi direct? Might look into that! Cool idea, bad execution. So sad. I don't think this will last too long against go pro.

Even with updated firmware camera will not connect to WiFi 95% of the time. When I do finally get the WiFi to connect the app often says unable to connect. The few times I did get everything to connect I could not view everything on the camera. Drift stealth 2 with Samsung S5 is simply horrible. Yuck.

I have a Htc OneM8, the looks great easy to set up and i was connected to my HD ghost in 10 sec found it strait away the interface is easy to work out, Now for the not so good stuff the streaming sucks i got video at 720p 60fps and it plays for about 3 sec then stops for around 20sec then plays for 3 sec, you get the gist, the video look great witch makes even more agro that it dosent work ow and dont even think about downloading to your device 1% takes about 11 sec the video was only 15min long look the cam is fantastic but the wifi is way to weak and slow unless you guys have a fix ??

Why is this app STILL NOT WORKING? Despite all the negative reviews, Drift STILL haven't bothered to fix the problem - which implies they couldn't really care less. They've put money into development of the Drift Stealth camera yet have never bothered to fix their crappy app. Return the favour and get a GoPro instead. It's a tried and tested camera. With good customer support thrown in. Drift won't even respond to criticism. Read all the negative reviews here if you don't believe me...

Does not work and will frustrate you. Camera and application get out of sync. Says it is recording and it is not recording. The camera hangs up while running this application, all buttons stopped working, and the only solution is to remove the battery. The same problems exist on the iPhone application. Drift innovations has lost all credibility with me, as I have been trying to get them to fix this for a yr. I cannot believe they have wasted so much time and money to deliver such a useless app.

Samsung S5 and samsung S4 it still a bit buggy but after doing a firmware upgrade it seems to work okay I think with a little more work they might actually have it working well

It connects 3/5 times and when it does it lags so hard that I'm seriously 5-8 second's behind. Please fix.

Keeps crashing on startup.. hasnt connected to cam not even once... no point even dowloading it waste of bandwidth.

So every time I unlock my phone, im greeted with the drift app complaining it cannot find a camera? Go to record video from my mobile phone, and the drift app prevents me from doing so because it interrupts all the time???! (and no, it's not showing up on my status bar)... DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT WILL BREAK YOUR PHONE!!!

Got it to work for a while then freezes now will not connect to camera at all.have updated camera and reloaded app,still no go.

Has trouble connecting to the phone, downloading the video hangs at 0%, app stops working randomly and has to be shut down.

Everything working good except gallery/playback. None of my videos or photos are showing up. Htc one m8.

It would be much better if there's multi select for download or delete, and I can't see any video or image from the camera through the app and now it's a waste of time

Samsung s4 wont connect keeps saying internet not available. I dont want the internet

I can't even get this app to work on my galaxy 5 the WiFi connects but that's it. Sooo lame

UPDATE 11/05/2015 No updates in one entire year! This app needs many improvements and bug fixes. Please release an update soon! ----- Drift HD Ghost on Nexus 5 (Android 4.2.2). I always have problems when opening the app and the few times I managed to start and connect is slow and not responding properly to commands. Nothing to do with the app for iOS that works much better! Please update!

Seems to connect via WiFi OK, but when I start the app, it tells me it connects to the phone then the screen goes black followed by the pop-up that the app stopped. That's as far as it goes, never actually gotten into the app. Samsung Note 4.

I have the latest firmware, 2.4.4.0 (10/07/2014), on my HD GHOST. My Nexus 4(Android 5.0) connects to the camera. When i start the app i get almost always the message "Fetching camera...." and the app crashes after some moments. It happened only a few time i really was able to connect to the camera and change settings/take video/download content. But the app crashes suddenly and then it does not recognize the camera anymore, even if i'm connected via wi-fi.

Seriously go get Professional Help. Its still laggy & functions jamming all the times. Luv the Cam but nt the App...
