Text Message Voting System

The Text Message Voting System is designed to allow you to hold a voting contest where friends or family can vote for something in a contest you hold. You enter the candidates and then your family or friends simply text the name of the candidate they chose to your phone number to vote. When you decide to end the voting the app will display the results on the screen as well as sent to the email that you entered previously.

This app can also receive email votes if your cell phone provider supports emails to your phone number. In that case the candidate should be included in the header of the vote email.

Simply follow the instructions on the bottom of the screen to run the voting system.

*Requires sending, receiving, and writing permissions to receive votes and send confirmation messages after a good vote is received.

Notes:

Make sure voters know the exact candidate names as they must match the one you enter in the app.

Only one vote from a cell phone number will be counted.

No phone numbers are stored from voters to ensure privacy.

The results email may take some time to send and show up in your email.

Candidate names match exactly what is entered so that a wide variety of candidates is possible, so be careful with with spaces and punctuation in candidates.
