About Decimal Time

Are you fed up of 24 hour days? Wouldn't it be better if we had 10 hour days, each 100 minutes, and 100 seconds? The French invented such as system after The Revolution. They used this system along with Republican Calendar between September 1794 and April 1795 and now you can too.

Each second 0.865 conventional seconds,
Each minute 86.4 conventional seconds,
Each hour 144 conventional minutes.

Includes Republican Date within app and Republican Time widget and lock screen widget!

Other features include:
-Countdown timer
-Stopwatch

Lock screen widgets require Android 4.2!

I guess like metrification, I'll get used to it. Thank you! Any chance you know where I can find a decimal time calculator; like, what's 10pm in decimal time, or 04:71:12 in am/pm time?

Widget only updates the time every 10 minutes or so. Opening the app displays correct decimal time but the widget never displays correct time. Otherwise it looks good.

I think this app was an amazing piece of work as to what it does. I am highly impressed as to how it portrays the Republican French months as well as the Year. Three thing which could be added include: 1) The date under the time widget or a separate widget to itself. 2) The Republican French day, i.e. Primdi, Duodi etc. 3) Adding alarms Otherwise, good overall work!

Exactly how do I make it show up as the clock on the lock screen? I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. Thanks in advance. It's 0:60... time for bed! Update: Constantly crashes. Maybe has something to do with me still being with Android 4.1? I don't know.

Great app, looks like the best one out there. But here a few things it could do with: day of decade (week); name of the day of the year, possibly with an English translation; calendar view function and maybe a leap-year method selector (I assume this uses the Romme method?). Otherwise, great stuff!

Maybe we could decimalise time without screwing up SI units? The problem with this system is it's base unit is one earth day. Start from the bottom up. Units smaller than conventional second are already decimalised. Something being measured cannot define the scale / unit. It's like using cubits.

cool icon too. If you are so obsessed with the size of the widget then get XGELS and fix it yourself :)

Integrates well with Kitkat when used as a lock screen widget. As others have noted, not as useful when used as a regular screen widget if screen space is at a premium. I've give it five stars because there is nothing out there that looks as good, but it would really be complete if the time widget could be more accurately resized.

...only gets three stars because the widget can't be resized very well. Screen space is valuable.
