A friend of mine suddenly urged for some instant home decor. While helping him to throw some things away, I found some frames of old paper lights. The first thing that surprises me is that this frame can be transformed into a brilliant work of art (or at least a decent desk accessory). So, we both took it as a project and the final product is very good. Given below are the various options you can try to create some pretty own!

Goods you need
Frame Light shade: You can make a lampshade using an existing frame like we do or you can buy a new frame. There are many stores that offer a variety of frames. Experiment with size and shape!
Thick paper: The paper should be thick enough to cover the frame without tearing but not blurred so light from the bulb can not shine. We use rice paper because it has a translucent effect and shines when the light is turned on. You can consult the nearest stationary or hardware store about the type of paper that best suits your lampshade.
Stationery: Remove the stationery bag containing the usual: pencils, markers, erasers, scissors, heavy duty glue, etc. In accordance with your own individual wishes, you can choose the type of material you want to use to decorate your lampshade.
Glue: To ensure that all of the above mentioned articles stick firmly on paper, use heavy duty glue that is odorless or smudges.
Resistant Spray: The bulb in the lamp produces plenty of heat. Once the lampshade is ready, it needs to be sprayed with a flame-retardant spray so that the paper does not burn due to heat.

How to Make a Lamp
Basic Styles
This is the most basic method. Use stencils to pull whatever design you want on paper. If it is a complicated design, it is advisable to practice on simple paper first. Once the design is finished, draw it on the main paper that you have cut out in a frame. Paint with oil paint or paint cloth because it looks brighter and more vibrant than the color of water. After the paint is dried, place the paper on the frame with heavy duty glue.
Bring the Bling
Take a large piece of rice paper and cut it in the shape of your lampshade. Keep the edge a little longer than the frame so it's easily fixated on it. Describe your preferred design on paper. Use glistening glue to decipher the design and stick the mirrors and beads wherever you think it is necessary. Paste the glossy ribbon or lace on the edge of the lampshade. Apart from the methods mentioned above, you can also create personalized work by trying some of the following ideas.
Cut light-colored paper in the form of a frame and write a handwritten message (in different dark colors) of your children on it. When the light is on, it will look very beautiful.
Blow up a nice family picture and cut it in the shape of a lampshade. Paste it into the frame and place it on the base.
