Cellica Database WiFi MS Access,SQLServer form

Brilliant, the best DB App on the web, used it for many years.

I've been using Cellica database for nearly four years now and I can't recommend it enough. I have changed devices a number of times during that time and it has worked well across them all. Cellica Customer Services (which I've only had to contact when switching devices) have always been prompt, competent and courteous in all their responses. This is a quality business grade database form with reliable professional backup to match.

dont bother I have had this program for a few years and have had NOTHING but problems with it.

I've been using cellica wifi database for a couple of years now and still love it and depend on it. Customer support have always been prompt and excellent in resolving any problems - what serious users need.

Some database savvy is prerequisite, and there is a bit of a learning curve concerning settings, use of the form designer, etc. But short of writing your own code, it is hard to imagine a more flexible mobile database tool that allows you to work productively away from any signal and just synchronize periodically. Also, the support staff is very responsive, and the instructional videos are useful. Finally, I appreciate the low cost for the individual version. I'm already thinking of the enterprise version.

Multiple reasons

The people have the only true, easy to use sql database sync for android. If you run into trouble with system crashes like I did, they're right there with quick effective support. Really a class team & product. I have the WiFi version.

This program is not for me.

Good idea but on my Motorola Milestone X2 it puts duplicates in my database. However it could be the operator. Lol

App is good. Much better than handbase for Android. It's registered to a specific device, so forms are created for that resolution and in landscape OR portrait. They don't flip perfectly. Scrolling is from palm pilot era. App auto dials from phone fields, maps addresses and uses GPS, extensive field sorting, take photos directly from app to your database etc, etc. Background services are idle by choosing manual updates. It's an enterprise level app, not a toy. Customer service is ok but could be better.

This product appears to be what I have been looking for. I started using this app about a month ago, and purchased / registered it about 2-1/2 weeks ago. If you're looking for a mobile app that allows record-level syncing connection to a variety of desktop or server based databases and lets you develop basic forms for data entry/edit/review this is for you. Very important, from a practical DB administration side, it supports relational databases. You do have to have some experience developing and using databases and forms design, although you don't have to be a DBA (i.e. There are no "wizards" to connect to a database or develop forms.) The client app is light-weight. It loads fast and runs fast. (If it had all the features it could have it would be heavy and slower, no doubt.) Important Note: I did run into one problem with a couple of form built-in formula functions. I logged a ticket with the developer. They responded, within a couple of days with not 1, but 2 patches that resolved the issue. Wow. I'm used to mobile app developers who typically offer vague platitudes, or silently refund your app fee, or don't respond at all. Very nice all around.

2/17/13: Is a great app but has a service that runs ALL the time, eats 2% of phone battery even when I am never using app!! What if every app did this?? No option not to run service if not using app! STUPID. Enterprise version might need always-on service for keeping all users in sync but single user version does not need to waste battery against user wishes. Will change review when Crllica makes smarter app.

I have been looking for a long time to find an App that would synchronize seamlessly with Access databases. This suits the bill. Can even use password protected databases. What I like about it is that the Cellica desktop program does not need to be running in order to synchronize with your Access database. You can synchronize on demand from your phone. Nice. I have been using HandBase and this App is so much better & polished. The desktop program is a bit pricy but if it works well it is worth it. There are a few things I would like to see improved such as 1) smoother scrolling 2) option to display passwords as you type and 3) enter password only when opening database (for password protected databases. This App is close to a 5. I 'll use it some more and maybe update my review

Has some perrmissions that are really not required and make me think this is malware: By downloading this app you give it permission to: directly call phone numbers take pictures and videos Know your fine (GPS) location Determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like. Have removed it.

The form editor works ok but needs heaps of refinement to make it useful on the latest devices. Data syncs very well

Does this app need dial out access to my phone? Uninstalling until I get a good answer.

Bought this software only to find out it is a mediocre application. They should put it back in Beta. The fields do not adjust when you use it in the landscape mode. The fields are too limited in size and will not allow the text to wrap. The real kicker was when it stopped syncing. I got shuffle back and forth between several tech support folks and then suddenly dropped. Don't waste your money here. My suggestion, go to HanDBase. At least it works and the fields are not as limited.

I created profiles for and synced 6 databases (MS Access and MS Excel) to my tablet in a matter of minutes. The syncing works perfectly and is very fast (one of the databases is over 50,000 records - it was very fast). The form editing program needs some work - the editor has a fixed window size despite more real estate being available. This makes it more difficult to create tablet-sized forms. Otherwise, very impressed so far.

Takes too long to understand. No phone support for a $40 app??? Shame! GUI is an eye soar. Completely useless without several hours of trial & error.

Asks for desktop's IP and port. IP is fine but port isnt something that is very clearly defined in any instructions. The default value of 8585 doesnt seem to work. Please help... The non-WiFi version though works like a charm and the only reason im looking to use the WiFi version is for instant sync. Three stars till helped.

in your case Support grows from “SUPPPPPPER” !!! I suggest change the name to “Super Support Team! It works, now I am able to make time studies for example for the garment industry in India or all around the world and update my database in the office.Very good. Super. Now the company owner can start working with real operation time for example in the cutting area much much earlier. Again thanks a lot.

Good app. But register IMEI and need constant internet to use. USD 800 for enterprise edition is way too much. Customer service is good on the beginning and then they start to ignore. Change this issues and we might consider again.
