Crayola Easy Animator

This app and product are totally pointless. The app is not compatible with any of my kids products. Just phoned help desk who advised compatible with Galaxy S3, S4 etc etc and Tab 3, 4 upwards. I told them that was rubbish as the product is aimed at tablet use not phone use. Going to take back for refund.

I can't believe crayola would market such a piece of junk to kids just to disappoint them when it is clearly not easy, let alone, doesn't even work. Shame on them!!!

The options of the default motions are very limited , when you try to make your own animations it doesn't work properly , the animated characters you can make always comes out ugly , and it straight up lied about being able to change camera angles and adding accessories . I feel bad some one wasted on this for me. It says it 12 times faster then normal animation but it's far worse. The box is more life like then the so called "amzing" animation.

Son received it as a birthday gift and it's rubbish. I have tried installing, reinstalling, clearing cache, force stop etc to get this app running. My phone is compatible, so don't know what the issue is. It won't find the manny, it won't scan the pictures. I don't even have a receipt to exchange it for something he can use. What a waste of money on his grandfather's behalf. Having the Crayola name, I expected better.

Can't use/scan on ZTE, LG, or Nexus 5x. Fails best design practices from 2013. Why continue to offer a defunct product other they bury your brand with web 2.0?

How to disappoint a child at Christmas in one easy step, download this! My son has Lenovo tablet (android 5), but it turns out its not compatible. So we put it on our daughers Asus tablet (android 6), but again cant as its not compatible. But the web site has a button for compatible devices, which is a broken link. So got it on my Galaxy S7 edge, it works, but this app is designed for a bigger screen, so its hard for a 6 year old to manage. Really save your money, this is a horrible way to suck cash out of parents, Im disgusted with a reputable name like Crayola for bringing out such an unfinished product. AVOID! - edit - have tried 2 other android 4.x devices....not compatible.

Love it! Its great for my seven year old son. Very easy to use. Had problem with saving video but followed directions from jason poe in comments and it fixed easily!

Pretty good for a laugh. It's good at capturing coloured pages but not very good at capturing the mannequin motions. It also forces you to use the front facing camera for that step (presumably so you can view the screen while manipulating the mannequin). Fortunately it comes with automated selection of movements (eg. Spin on the spot, silly dance) if the mannequin proves too frustrating. It's a clever business idea, selling additional coloured pages (which I presume would be emailed to you for printing).

BUYER BEWARE. This app, a companion to a physical Crayola product, lets you create short animations. The mannequin capture function (which is the primary purpose of the app) is never more than 50% accurate in any lighting conditions. It's a great idea but the poor execution leaves Crayola with a bad name.

Crayola should be ashamed this doesn't work, My little girl spent hours coloring in the characters, to find its not compatible, then once we installed on a compatible device it never worked. Crayola = headache and upset children...

All documentation read it was compatible with Android 4.3 and greater... This is a blatant lie. Opened it on Christmas morning, only to find it wasn't compatible with any of our Android devices (except my phone). This developer has let you down Crayola... The Crayola name is not what it used to be. Buyer beware!! My 7 year old son is extremely upset...

I wanted to make my own charters so I went to scan it and there wasn't a button that would activate the scaner! I think it was a total waste of money and time! Also it said that it would work with my Samsung galaxy tab 4, but it didnt!

Even worse than possible. So it is at best annoying. Non stop music and the recognition is a joke. The mannequin flips and wobbles and limbs move impossibly while trying to pose it. As an adult i was frustrated. Kids would be crying. Idiotically it only uses the facing camera so when you try to scan you have to turn the screen away from you so now you cant see it. Who thought that was a good plan? Listen to the reviews, i wish i had seen them first

If I could give this a lower rating I would. It really deserves a negative rating and crayola should be forced to refund everyone's money. Its total crap!! It doesn't find the "manny" and if it does it's never the way you have him standing. The doll has floppy limbs and won't stay posed, the animations don't let you finish and you waste hours trying to make it work. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!

Once you create a video you can't find it, to share. Here is the fix, go to your app labeled "My Files" then click on"Device Storage", then the "Android" folder, then "Data", then click the "com.DAQRI.Crayola.EasyAnjmator" folder, then the "files" folder, now hold down on the folded labeles "Movies" till a check box appears on the left. Then click on the top left corner sometimes labeled by 3 dots, or "more", click "Add shortcut", then "Add to Home Screen". A "Movies" icon will appear.

This doesn't work on my android phone. We had to download the app toy husband's iPhone to get it to work. When we try to scan the character no button pops up to capture the image ony Android. Works find on the iPhone. Disappointing.

Every time I position the mannequin in a certain way it has a seizure without me even moving it. So if I try to make it dab, instead it will try to eat its butt with the back of its head. To summarize: the app will not copy the moves you input with the figure, regardless of how careful you are, variations on speed, or beginning on the default position.

I've never left a review for an app before, but this was so bad I couldn't stay silent. When a product hinges on an app to use it then it better work. Daughter so disappointed. I basically bought an overpriced coloring book. Pages would not scan. Even in the character tutorial it just left you trying to scan your page, but there was no button to press to scan. I bought these as gifts because it was a great idea and I hope it works for them. Completely embarrassed.

Once I move one limb, the picture for the free just moves on its own. Limbs go though limbs, isn't close to how I moved it, and I'm stuck with the lame default moves! I just it does work for android. Please fix

For all you idiots out there, try reading the 5 step instructions and maybe you'll actually give your kids a working present. Works Great! Me and my family LOVE IT!

Says compatible with android 4.3 and up, lies. My android version is 5.0 and is incompatible. Bought it for my son's birthday, but apparently the app doesn't work with most samsung devices. Tried on two different galaxy tabs and a galaxy phone, not compatible with any. So he can'take use it. Crap product I expect better from crayola.

Incredibly short list of supported devices. Way to rush this to market just before Christmas, buttholes. Does it run on my phone? Yes. Will I let my kid play with my expensive phone? No.

It's fun, but whenever I'm at "looking for manny" it can't find him and I'm doing what it says that I have to do. But it just won't work and it's very frustrating.

Worst Christmas gift. The app if not compatible with my daughter's tablet. An Acer running Android 4.4.2. The box says: Compatible with iOS and Android and in small letters below the web address to check compatibility. I noted the web address only after this disappointment. When I visited their web site I found out that the app it's only compatible with a few devices from 5 manufacturers. Next time you should make it more clear in the box. I'm not returning it because my daughter still want to color the book. Also, even in a compatible phone, the app don't easily see the mannequin. Most of the time the animation is jumping and doing something completely different from the mannequin.

When I try to scan my characters drawn it comes out all blury and The scanner doesn't pick up movements from Manny waste of 20 dollars

The beauty of android is the variety of devices. This app is compatible with less than 5% of the android device market. Why even put the app on android. Absolutely useless.

Not compatible with Android tablet. Used on my,phone but wont scan pictures or recognise the mannequin. My kids opened this on Christmas eve and have lost interest next day. Don't bother with this.

What a terrible App! Tried it on both new gen ipad and android and the app was either slow responding or non responsive.

Really stinks that compatibility is SOOOOO limited. Crayola did NOT do an adequate job of letting customers know how few devices actually work with this product.

Can we upload pictures from the device instead of scanning?? I really want to add my own character. But anyways animation is good and easy to learn.

Use with your tablet they...guess again. How can your software not work on what you say it does on the box Crayola? ? Thanks for the false advertising!

Doesn't work. The app doesn't read the manaquin. It only recognizes some limbs or one arm etc. Absolutely terrible app!!!

App not compatible with two out of three devices. Not compatible with ASUS, not compatible with Samsung Galaxy 10.1. Takes up alot of space on samsung s5. Animation is slow seems to mess up, not accurate. Horrible purchase. Wish I can return, but already opened the box.

I bought this for my son because I got him a tablet for Christmas and it's not compatible with his android tablet only my phone! Highly disappointed Crayola! $20 wasted!

Not compatible with any of our pads. Only my Galaxy S6. Once installed won't scan Manny. I want my money back. My child is very upset. What a dumb Christmas gift.

Pretty poor product. We have tried to get a color page to scan in for about an hour now and finally gave up. Gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the animation without scanning something looks like it could be fun.
