Blare—Find Lost Phone w/ Voice

Bought the full version and it works, BUT...it kept going off randomly and I had to uninstall it. I did get a response from the developer much to my delight. But unfortunately, even after following his instructions the app just never worked again at all. Tried 5 installs to see if it would work to no avail. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is my phone.

Unfortunately it drains the battery big time. I guess if you can keep your phone plugged in all the time then no problem. If the battery is dead the likelihood of this app finding your phone is zero. And if it's mostly charging what's the likelihood of losing it? So I have my grocery list on my phone but it dies on the way to the grocery store! App would be better named duh. And now I am uninstalling it. I also agree with the other deficits that others have mentioned so am not going to repeat them.

As others have commented, this app means my phone can't use voice recognition for other apps. If only I knew when I was going to misplace my phone, THEN I could turn on Blare!

Why with all the hate this app is awesome its really accurate and so helpful for people like me

After you set your keyword it goes off at any given moment and doesnt have any voice recignition so anything or anyone could say your keyword (NOT KEYPHRASE CAUSE IT GOES OFF AT THE MERE MENTION OF ANY OF THE WORDS IN THE KEYPHRASE) and set it off, tv, radio, another person, will be uninstalling and not buying it, maybe IF they fixed this issue then I'd consider it again, for now it's useless or more gimmicky.

Update 10-15-2016, blare siren works now, but it still won't allow use of the microphone by other apps. E.g. if blare is set to ON other apps, like dictation, don't work. Not OK!! Blare needs to play well with others. Still single star. Fix this and will increase rating. Original review: Flash works, vibrate and blare do not. Paid for it too, frustrating. Galaxy Note 5.

Update 10/16/16: For some reason working now. However, it blocks voice recognition in other apps, like texting, so have to "force stop" this app in settings to use VR in other apps. Ridiculous! 10/15/16: Samsung Galaxy S5, installed app update too, but can only get it to work if app is open in background. I paid for the app...disappointed...want money back but will probably never see that.

Works great but disables the mic for other apps. Have to turn it off to use any speech-to-text functions. Fix this and you'll have a solid app.

It is too sensitive and it does not recognise my voice. I would like help getting a refund for this item.

I can't get it to work. I set my keyword and it reverts back to the default :oranges and rainbows" and it doesn't blare even when using the default. Droid turbo running 5.1

Just what I needed. Works just fine. To stop the blare, click on "I found my phone". I didn't realize that at first and turned my phone off to stop it. Changed to 3 stars. It doesn't seem to work from another room.

The app won't work. 4 words and 5 syllables. ..turned on voice option. Yell my words and nothing happens. Also, I can no longer use voice to text for messages, etc. Uninstalling.

I installed the app and paid for the upgrade...however I can not get the app to accept the key words, the mic will not stay on...and go to the next step...which I assume is the activation step....help. Using an Android from Verizon... a Spectrum.

Changing to a 3. Can't even get to the setup options past the keyword, as an AD that won't go away is right at bottom. I even turned on autorotate, and still didn't change

ALL I do is yell my keyword and the annoying buzzing sound goes off . Nice ...

Can't even set it up, the stupid ad at the bottom of screen covers up the arrow I need to click to get to the next set up page.

UPDATE: Although this app did not work on my phone, the producer was very helpful and eventually refunded my money. He is currently working to to get the app to work on my type of phone. PAST REVIEW: I have two issues. The most crucial is that right after installing this app I am now having problems making phone calls. My phone keeps telling me that "telephony has stopped_" (I have Republic Wireless service) I have a message into Republic Wireless for help. If it cannot be rectified without uninstalling Blare then I want a refund. - I know it is only 99 cents but still, if it is not compatible with some services, then we should be forewarned. The other issue I have is that the phone will activate with the key phrase, but only if I am within a few feet of it (like less than 5 feet) and yes, I am speaking quite loudly. If I am that close to my phone, chances are that I will be able to find it without the phone making any noise!

It works. But on my Homtom HT17pro I can not see all the settings screen, or scroll down past the words "Enable Powerful". So I can not turn the option below it on. I've paid for the app so disappointed I can't use the option paid for. If you can fix this bug (I notice other users on other phones have the same problem) then it could be a 5 star rating.

I have a Moto G3. When it is activated press the I have found my phone button on the screen. I have the free version with adds. The problem I have is that every time it is activated an add is initiated. If that add is still showing on the phone the app does not work until it is removed. I do not know if it works if you buy the two options available.

A person like me constantly loses my phone. I keep this app running in the background, and whenever I say my keyword, the device Blares perfectly. It's way more accurate than I expected! 5 stars!

I bought this app and after it was installed on my Galaxy S6 and the app opened I couldn't scroll down and activate it. I went through the tutorial first to make sure I was doing everything correctly. Total waste of my time and money. Why does this not work Ruchir??????

Not working on my Samsung S6 . . . Correction after 3 hours it suddenly set the phone off although I had said nothing because I was busy parking the car with the phone in my pocket . . .

This worked on my galaxy grand prime, which thrilled me cause I'm always setting my phone down & can't find it. BUT it seemed to change my text notification to blare - NOT good. And it randomly went off - also NOT good. So I uninstalled it & always wish I had it or something like it.
