About Quincy Chamber of Commerce CA
Quincy started as Gold Rush community in 1858, just outside of Elizabethtown. James H. Bradley, one of the organizers of Plumas County, donated the land at Quincy for establishment of the county seat. He then laid out the town and named it after his ranch located in Quincy, Illinois.
In 2010, the U.S. census reported the Quincy population as 1,728. The Quincy Chamber of Commerce is a valuable resource, a "hub" organization, utilized by the local community, tourists, new businesses, those seeking to relocate here, and an informational source for activities and business needs.
The Chamber is nationwide, and is well known at the #1 agency to contact when you need information about an area for business or pleasure. Quincy Chamber of Commerce sponsors many community events including; Father's Day Fly-In & Creekside Festival, the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade, Safe Trick or Treat, Main Street Sparkle, and Wassail Bowl. These events enhance the unique quality of life in our community.
