Knitted cardigans may come an go the but you can always wear them with style. Follow these great tips to transform the way you look and perhaps transform the way you think about cardigans.

2. What you want for this is a great brooch and one or two safety-pins.

Put the cardi on and stand in front of a mirror - one that is at least three quarter length. Now bring the right-hand side of the cardi over the left, and underneath it tug the left side towards your right. There will be an overlap. Experiment with the lay of it - you want it so that it's at the most flattering fit for your figure.

Hold that in place with a safety-pin if necessary, and hold the brooch in front of the cardi to find the best position for it. Now pin the brooch on. This is a style that looks gorgeous with all kinds of cardigans.

3. If you never tied a cardigan in front, you haven't lived. This one is especially great for a cardigan that's a little baggy at the waist. Be aware that this will probably stretch the cardigan.

4. This is a great one for cold weather - we're going to make a wonderful cardi-scarf. You can use any cardigan for this. And it doesn't require any sewing, cutting or pinning at all.

Drape the back of the cardigan across the top of your back, let the front halves of the cardi drape over your shoulders like a shawl and let the sleeves swing in front of you. Now hold one of the sleeves near the cuff and and slip it into the inside of the top of the other sleeve. Put your other hand up the second sleeve until you can grab hold of the first one, and pull it through.

Put your coat on and do up as many of the coat buttons as is comfortable. Tuck away any peeping buttons and button-holes. You'll be not only warm as toast, but you'll look wonderful too.

Choose a cardigan just a bit longer than waist-length, and preferably not loose. Do the cardigan up before putting it on, then pull it on like a but with the buttons at the back.

Now put a belt over it. You want a narrower belt for this style. If the cardi is a bit loose at the waist then tug the spare material neatly to the sides and around the back. This style looks great with lipstick and high heels.
