CalMac Status

Good to help passengers out for ferry crossings as i work trains that connect with the ferries...BUT only 3 stars as i constantly get hit with a black screen on load up and it takes ages to reset. Using on an lg g5 and a note 4

It's great how you can see the status of each ferry, and then one click to the timetable. Much better and easier than the website for ferry sailing times.

Good up-to-date information

Allows you see how the ferries are running and any planned disruption. Also you can download the timetables.

Functional and easy to use. Minor point but smaller and square icons would reduce the need for scrolling and give the app a cleaner look.

Essential for regular travellers

The older version had the benefit of being off line so always available even for those places where there is no signal. The newer version has the benefit of up to date information but requires on line access which is good when are you are able get on line but not great for some of the places the ferries visit. It means that you will need to carry the timetables or drop into a pdf etc

Simple, easy to navigate app that does exactly what it's supposed to. As far as I can see, it's kept fully updated. Well done Calmac, yet another big plus from this excellent Company with super ferries & ever friendly, very helpful staff. Only suggestion - make available off line (perhaps with different coloured background so that its obvious that info may not be 100% up to date)

We used this on holiday to keep an eye on sailings. It provides warnings that sailings might be disrupted ahead of cancellations or changes. It gives us peace of mnd that sailings are on time too! Brilliant app from a brilliant company!

I guess it tells you what you need to know but could do with being able to zoom in the timetables and performance without WiFi (even with 4G) is poor, seems to drop out thinking there is no connection rather than persevering

Good app for those who use calmac. I like the timetables and prices being close to hand

Handy app. Let's me know if the ferries are running before travelling. Also tells me of any disruption on the roads to the ports.

Magic app hope weather stays good all winter cause the boats aren't up to task. Polish built junk

Latest versions no longer work with my Mini Galaxy S 5870 smart phone :-( Works normally on my Galaxy Note Tab2 to which I would give 5*

The Islay timetable is not showing the fare info since the update to winter timetable

Very handy,and its been a long some since I had an app that just loads the information you need without wasting time and bandwidth on silly graphics.

This was a great app however after a recent update it is corrupt and unworkable on Samsung galaxy note 3

Just the right thing to check the weather, especially when travelling a long way

Dead simple, dead good

Worked fine on my HTC Desire, crashes immediately I try to access any service on my HTC one.

Calmac Ferries

When it works, it's great, but when you really need it, it crashes. :-(

App was so helpful for me with this bad weather. Had more information about the trains than Scotrail did. Thank you.

Great app but doesn't work on my current phone, Samsung galaxy apollo android 2.1 update 1, please fix so i can use again then 5 stars.

Great, but could do with caching (inc timestamp and notice that it is cached content that may be outdated) since coverage is patchy on the west coast.

Agree with caching comment from other reviewer. Apart from that it has everything I need.

Quite good but needs constant updating.
