Henri Cartier-Bresson

À l’occasion de la rétrospective Henri Cartier-Bresson, du 12 février au 9 juin 2014, le Centre Pompidou proposeune application d’une grande richesse artistique et documentaire, fruit d’un partenariat inédit avec la Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, Magnum Photos et Le Monde.

L’application Henri Cartier-Bresson offre à travers un parcours de plus de 60 œuvres enrichi de commentaires, de citations, de photographies d’archives, de manuscrits, de vidéos exclusives, d’entretiens, d’une chronologie et de portraits de l’immense photographe, un savant éclairage sur « l’œil du siècle », en avant-première ou en complément de l’exposition. Ces contenus exceptionnels ont été rendus possibles grâce à l’association créative des quatre partenaires.
Outre le savoir-faire technique des Éditions du Centre Pompidou, le Centre a apporté à sa conception des contenus éditoriaux originaux produits à l’occasion de l’exposition sous la houlette de son commissaire, Clément Chéroux. Le Monde, a quant à lui, sélectionné de grands entretiens réalisés durant près de trois décennies. Magnum Photos a puisé dans son fonds documentaire pour permettre au grand public de découvrir les coulisses de la création et de l’activité de la coopérative photographique la plus célèbre du monde, créée en 1947 par cinq photographes de génie dont Henri Cartier-Bresson. Et, la Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson a, pour sa part, ouvert ses archives pour permettre de redécouvrir l’une des photographes les plus célèbres du XXème siècle. The application Henri Cartier-Bresson offers through a journey of more than 60 works enriched with comments, quotes, archival photographs, manuscripts, exclusive videos, interviews, a timeline and portraits of immense photographer, scholar light on the "eye of the century" in preview or in conjunction with the exhibition. These exceptional content has been made possible through the creative combination of the four partners.
Besides the technical Publishing Centre Pompidou expertise, the Centre has brought its design original editorial content produced for the exhibition under the leadership of its Commissioner Chéroux. Le Monde, has meanwhile, selected major interviews for nearly three decades. Magnum Photos has tapped into its holdings to enable the public to see behind the scenes of the creation and activity of the world's most famous photographic cooperative founded in 1947 by five photographers whose genius Henri Cartier-Bresson. And the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, for its part, opened its archives to allow to rediscover one of the most famous photographers of the twentieth century.
