About RoomScanner For Project Tango

Scanner that assembles a Point Cloud of your environment as you sweep across your space.

Produces Point Cloud of your space by combining the Depth Perception and Motion Tracking results into a single application.

Improvement in scan quality, still experiencing drift... It is now able to scan 1M + points, and save 500K points to the cloud.

Web Viewer for Point Clouds was also re-written to use the PointCloud class in Three.js

This wonderful utility simplifies point cloud modelling on the Tango tablet in a way that no other app has been able to so far at this stage of development. Many thanks for publishing this momentous leap forward!

This app is invaluable to Tango developers, hope for more updates. /blee/

This is working pretty nicely as a tech demo. What's the biggest barrier to bringing in more scan points? I can almost make an 'as-built' scan of my office; cant wait to see what you update next. Any chance of building 3-D models from the voxels, and then overlaying the respective visual light data on them?

Like the idea of where the app is going. Would be great if you let the user save a scan with some metadata like name, time etc etc

I have been testing this since close to day 1. Lots of updates and the possibilities are endless

Could use a little bit more UI explaining to the user to hold still in the beginning during initialization. (Note: we're working on a UX library to help developers manage initialization and exceptions... stay tuned!)
