I cannot restore my SMS and call logs, or contacts. View and manage shows the files, but when u try to view them the app crashes. upon restore only applications were restored. please issue a fix asap as i've lost some key information

First, I hate this app. Zero stars. Second, as stated here: I was able to restore my stuff once I deleted all 5 "-journal" files. They were 0 byte here. Share the info, a lot of people seem to have lost their data because of this software.

Did a full backup, flashed a custom rom, lost my apn settings as was expected. Then hit restore. This app begins to restore then it goes from 0% to 100% Instantly! And of course actually does nothing! Get me my apn settings back! Btw, apn is your wifi ip address

I backed up all the things on my phone and had to do a hard reset but this app did not restor anything... I lost everything that was suppose to be restored... I do not recamend this app

The first time I needed this app to work it didn't and I lost all my call log info and messages as well as picture messages. It backed up all my apps properly but it was quite a surprise when I formatted my phone and this app read "no data to restore" in most fields. I will find a new app to use next time.

Please fix. Error "no data to restore". Crashes on select file to restore(longpress).

When choosing restore from selected the app crashes. Same when choosing not to automatically install apps. Sms restore ok when deleting journals but not call log. Please fix this.

I was trying to restore backup on my new phone and this app just keep crashing. Its useless.

Hi, I've used this app and it was really good backup almost everything but I had Memo on my notepad and now its gone.... Can someone tell how can I get the memos back ? I had very important stuff written there... Thanks.

EDIT: Ok I managed to get the backup app to restore my backups. It works IF I go into the individual folders and delete all the *.journal files. I'll update my review from one to three stars because there has to be better working backup apps out there. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] I trusted this app to back up my SMS history, call logs, etc. NOPE! No backups found. Lost it all in a OS update. Find and use a backup app that works.

Did not restore SMS properly. All SMS messages were restored but the contacts were mixed up

Couldn't restore SMS and call log databases from 2.3.6 to ICS 4.0.3. If it can't do it that's fine but should be noted in program description.

Tried on 3 phones, didn't work once.

Only restored texts, not pic messages or other apps. Mixed up text messages, names, and dates. Will have to delete all texts. Useless.

Cannot restore the files, just show "no data to restore", Same situation with other reviewer

I had made a backup on previous ROM .. Then I flashed new ROM and tried to restore .. All it says no data to restore for SMS, MMS, settings , call logs etc .. But it finds app data .. When I checked using file explorer I saw that all data exist onside Backupeverything directory .. But app is not able to find It .. Now what am I supposed to do

I downloaded this app to backup my old phone because I was replacing it with an identical model phone because of problems. This app ran for hours and when I tried to restore to the new phone the app said there was nothing to restore. I sent the error log to an email address that requested it. Please build a backup that works and lasts for a while on play store.. come on just copy the stuff to a file on the SD card with out compressing it! Just save a memory dump or something that is simple and works!

I got it working by goin into the backupeverything folder with a file explorer and deleting the files that ends with jornal.. It worked but i stil get the sms mesedup.. Hop this helped..

[New Review] Recently restored my stuff from the app after backing up and then backing up again for safety and the only thing the app backed up/restored was my apps. [Original Review]Before I was able to backup everything without a hitch. Now, however, I try to change which SMS records or Apps to backup, the application crashes just after I choose what I want to backup and click 'OK'. Therefore I cannot choose what apps to backup. Not very useful if trying to save SD card space on unnecessary backup files.

I don't understand how this application could have a 3.6 unless that is cumulative from when it was first developed. They really should make the reviews on the versions. BEWARE to anyone running ICS..DON'T USE THIS APP. I only wish I had read more reviews on this site instead of some review of it on an Android forum. It took forever to backup my data to the SD card but all was backed up and could see it on the SD. Reset and formatted phone (not SD card) and reinstalled the Backup Master app. Attempted to restore any of the data from the SD card and the application just crashes. I have lost all my data. This application should be removed from the market or at least have the ability to downvote it to 0 stars until this is fixed. I understand it's a free app but I would have paid for a good app (I have bought many). I tried the free version because it had a decent review (apparently from a long time ago). Safe yourself so much grief, pain and mister. RIP my data :( I didn't make a full list of what I had installed so it's going to take me a week just to get the phone back to where I'm happy with it. This is a hard lesson learned and I hope others can benefit from it.
