BPM Detector (old version) for Android

Certain phones, (like mine) don't have an options button so I can't access the spectrogram mode. Maybe add a button in the app to get into the options?

Tested this on 3 tracks and it was precise!
Works almost perfectly
Excellent !!!
V good
Fun to use the visuals!
Very accurate
Works great. So far it has been accurate 98% of the time. This is much better than having to tap it out.
This app is an excellent tool, but could use some minor changes. It could use a bigger, clearer number display so that you can put the phone on the ground and read it at a glance. Being able to set the range would also be an asset as it likes to double slow beats.
In answer to those who complain it sometimes gets it wrong, true, but you CAN tap - just do it noisily e.g. with fingernail, as it "hears" the tap! Only problem is cannot access options on devices without menu/settings button
Seems like a nice app. The bpm is a bit too hard to read clearly on my phone in the Nerd mode though, the text appears pretty distorted.
Not accurate at all, what a waste of time.
It got all 4 songs i tried wrong. I used different genres just to make sure. First house, then rock, rap and even drum and bass. Doesn't work.
Nice app
Awesome!
Not accurate
i locking for an app to measure me old watch beats and measure them in somme way to adjust his spring time advance weel, with your help i find out that 150 bpm will sufice to adjust time for 2-4 day on me watch without needing to adjuts time.the new one is equal to the old one, no need for sofistication. i found similar apps that cost some money , soo all i can do is giving thx to you and 5 star for your effort.

Everything use to work fine but all of a sudden stopped working. Seems like the app isn't getting any signal from the phone's Mic... and the Mic works perfectly fine. Fix please... this app is really useful!!
This app is surprisingly good at hearing music and identifying the beats per minute. Its performance has a few deficiencies, though. First, it provides no estimate of the reliability of its result. Even if the app is right 90% of the time, you don't know which 10% of the time it's wrong. So you will still need to verify the correct BPM by counting beats. If it told you how reliable its result is, you would not have to do this. Second, when it fails to find a BPM, you now have to fire up a different app to manually count the beats. If this app included the ability to let you tap the beats out, then you would not need to use a second app. Its performance would get it 4 stars. However, the UI is terrible. The output is in a weird LED-style counter that is confusing and hard to read. On various devices the menu is either inaccessible (Nexus 7 running 4.1) or poorly formatted (Galaxy Nexus running 4.1, Galaxy Y Duos running 2.3.6). And there is no simple way of telling it "new song, recalculate BPM". So overall I rate it only two stars.
Works pretty well. If it can't find the beat, you can just tap on your device to make a beat for it to hear. Interface sucks. Ugly as hell, looks like it was designed in mspaint for windows 3.1. 7 segment displays font's are ridiculous, especially when it makes it harder to read.
This app is great! I love the spectrum display in nerd mode. You can see sine wave sweeps and other cool stuff when it's analyzing the tune. It uses the mic instead of taping the screen like many other BPM "detectors". In nerd mode, you can adjust the mic sensitivity for the environment you're in (loud or quiet). It would be nice if it had a taping feature too, but it works really well as is.
Ok but doesn't work very well with dubstep or drum and bass. Too complex for it I guess. I'll stick to manual versions
Great app... must have for all musicly inclined people/ anyone that works with music or is in a band Great app... would be cool if the buffer was faster than 7 seconds but really is awesome and well made
accurate and only takes like 5 seconds. maybe dont use it for dubstep, since dubstep changes tempo alot, but that should seem obvious.
I would pay for this well done dev, truly the most useful app I have ever downloaded no joke!
Great to see a free BPM app that doesn't involve tapping. Having tested it against an online metronome, however, it only correctly counts beats between 80-160 BPM: below 80 it displays twice the actual beat and above 160 it displays half the actual beat.
I'm a digital DJ, but have a few tracks that won't show bpm, i used this app, and it works great! I was very supposed how accurate it was. I even tested it against some of my tracks that already have bpm detected, and it was spot on, even with dubstep.
It does what i expect it to do. Great app!
Very battery intensive but otherwise awesome!
Works great live with my band to stop us speeding up!
Finally found a BPM tool that just listens instead of making me tap. It does take a whule, but I get to look at the pretty colors in nerd mode ;)
Really good app! Very happy!
Won't work on my Android Tab. It opens then closes immediately.
Very nice app, but it cannot detect properly if bpm is greater than ~160
Quantized in Acid...70.634 bpm's...this detected 140bpm's??
This is a very good app and is fairly accurate at BPM detection, however it seems to be about 1 BPM lower than the actual BPM about 50% of the time.
