Best Bar None Plymouth for Android
Best Bar None (Plymouth), formerly Plymouth Citysafe, is an accreditation scheme run by the licensed trade. It's aim in partnership with the authorities is to reduce alcohol related crime and anti-social behaviour through training, education and the promotion of best practice.
Funding for the scheme comes from the Local Community Safety Partnership, local companies as well as the BII and national pub companies.
Membership of the scheme is free.
In order for a premises to become a member of the Best Bar None scheme, the establishment has to undergo an annual assessment to ensure that the are both legally compliant and that they operate to a high standard.
Assessments are carried out by a qualified assessor who has attained the BIIAB level 2 Award in Assessment of Licensed Premises (Social Responsibility). The assessor is totally independent of all resposible authorities and is employed directly by the Best Bar None Scheme.
The scheme last year attracted over 50 members, and this year (2014/15) hopes to achieve 60 members.
Best Bar None (Plymouth) is recognised as one of the top 6 schemes in the country, as as a consequence was awarded AMBASSADOR status last year
