Anatomy Learning - 3D Atlas for Android
I am a final year medical student and I find this app very useful and accurate. I would like to thank the developers for creating it... But I was wondering maybe they could make it totally offline... It would be a lot more convenient to use then...but thanks again with what you have given.. I have tried to email you but they are showing some permanent error regarding your address...
Very very useful app... It's extremely amazing... I almost failed a test on female reproductive system because it wasn't here... But please can you work on meninges, it's not really explanatory, and it's all black and blurry... And also, with due respect, the paracentral sulcus of the cerebral hemisphere does not continue to the central sulcus of Rolando, it's however so here, which is wrong... Changes should probably be made to that... Otherwise, great work...
For free? You mean seriously? This app has everything. EVERYTHING. Amazing, though it would be a 6 star app if it had the latin names aswell. (Im not studying in uk or us, and we still use latin here). But even considering this, its an awensome learning tool
This app is the best I've seen so far. The 3 D is incredicle and so are the little quizzes for each section. Definitely helping for my last minute study session. I don't normally go out of my way to rate apps so this app is pretty great!
Loved the 3D graphics, extremely useful and informative. Just needs to add more to it, female reproductive system said it was on there but wouldn't load, could just be my device. I looked for the sinuses but couldn't find it. Could also use work on the fluidity of the 360° movement. All around, I'd have to say I was extremely impressed and still am as I continue to go through and explore. Particularly since this is a free app!! Amazing! Very well done!
The best innovation this app brings is being able to explore the bones in 3D. Seeing a 2D picture on paper and knowing how to pick out the nasal conchae is much different from being able to turn it over and see the angles with a touch of the finger. On the negatives, the navigation is fine but could be improved a bit and very rarely a pin won't quite jive with the angle you're viewing. Solid app, very useful to learn. Best I've found.
I cant believe something this informational is free!!!! Thank you so much for those who took the time to do this. 5 stars because its hard to find people who care about sharing knowledge without sucking students dry (of money). this will help me in my studies for sure. Again thank you, the app works great with 3D features. Im grateful for the people in the world who care.
Manipulating the 3d image felt very intuitive. The only weird thing to get used to was that in order to move (rather than rotate) the image requires you to drag along the very edges of the screen. But after I got the hang of it, it was fine. This program is beautiful. The lighting and rotatability really gives you a feeling for the shapes things, and how parts fit and interact. The quiz feature is great as well! I'm pretty sure this is the most fun I've had studying for A&P!
Considering this app is free it is one of the best apps on the market. It does take a while for new bits to come out (been waiting a while for the female reproductive section) but this hasn't affected my 5 star rating. This app has proven invaluable as I am a registered nurse, going on to study medicine.
Free app... No delusion... Everything straightforward... (This is the first time I write review & this app just deserves my time).... It shows you not just the 3D model of anything from anatomy, but also displays detailed structures present on it... It has been proved very useful for my Osteology presentations.. Alhamdulillah !
It's extremely educational and it's so easy to understand. Very easy to understabd and man now I know more medical vocab. MAKES IT SO MUCH FUNNER LEARNING ANATOMY NOW, and yes funner is a word. Deal with it. I was feeling sharp pain in my head so I wanted to know what region it was in and it was the partial cprtex I helieve. I also love the 3D graphics, it's so professional like. Love how they have little learning secctions of it and how you could also manually search the area up. I would give it 10000000 stars if I could and is it possible for you to add inside images of the organs? That would be glady apprecciated. Although it's perfect the way it is
There's never been as helpful app as this. This app helped me tremendously during my fitness training. What's more, it's free! I would appreciate regular updates by adding more information. It's been ages since the info about female reproductive system is yet to be updated. My rating 5+
Very useful... would be great if there was a way to layer muscles over each other (switch on/off) on the same view. Also some slight diff controling the 3d orbit... Still missing the legs? Also would be great if muscle info (action insertion etc) is complete. Great work tho
Read the instructions before you start. It's a powerful application, but the controls are not inherently obvious (though, very easy to pick up once you read it once). Using it often through medical school when Netter's falls short. Currently using it to prep for boards.
And it doesn't use that much internet ... I mean it cab be used perfectly fine on slow 2g connections. Just need to download all the contents about the region you are going to study and that's it, loading times are drastically minimal after that. Thank you for this wonderful app.
This reminds me of DK multimedia's human body that I had shown my students 10yrs ago... It became outdated and I also could show.... Now I can relive those moments n see the awe in kids eyes... Thank you
Very comprehensive (bar the very few "under construction" areas). Only small issues are that at certain angles, shadow cast on bones makes them too dark to see; panning is also a bit difficult to achieve (you have to trace your finger along the absolute borders of the screen) perhaps a "joystick" button would be better;also, bony features aren't fully included. All-in-all, delightfully useful for studying entry anatomy with.
I hope they keep updating this, I'm already loving it. Some of the points on certain things are difficult to find (like with the scapula, the points aren't fitting nicely with the model and are difficult to view. Highlighting areas would be great!). Will be recommended to my peers!
The app is very helpful but it has a few bugs. Not enough to make you NOT learn anything but sometimes it tells me I missed a few answers but it shows that I gotten everything right in the boxes. Other than that, its amazing! I learned more on the app than in my EMT class.
This app is absolutely wonderful. The quizzes are the best and it's so detailed it's great for a MS1 like me. The only issue I have is that's is still growing so not everything is there yet. I hope they finish up the rest and add all the quizzes soon because it really is a helpful app
Thank you so much. I really appreciate all the hard work you've done to make it easy to grasp human anatomy. And.. it's free which gives everyone the opportunity to learn.. I don't think it gets any better. Keep up the good work.
So happy to have found this app. My classmates use the essential anatomy app but I was not down for paying for an app. This app gives me the same thing plus quizzes. I will see how this does on the nerves and vessels but so far I am satisfied.
I have only used this app for studying muscle anatomy, but, so far, awesome 3D modelling that is more useful than even the expensive heavy plastic models at school. Could be improved by pop-up menus with origin, insertion, action, etc that could be accessed by tapping on muscle name when revealed. Also, content is too categorized...e.g. forearm muscles can't be viewed/accessed as a whole. Sometimes what seems like a too-complex overview can be useful, especially once one nears mastery of the material.
The reason why I chose 4 stars and not 5 is because there are bones where the dots are covering the distinct part that it is labeling, which makes it impossible to know exactly what that part looks like. I've even tried to rotate it but some parts I still can't distinguish because the labeling dots are in the way.
I have never rated an app before, but upon viewing the beautiful renderings and the accompanying educational walk-through, there was no way I wasn't going to say how fantastically elated I now am. Great job!
It's simply the best tool if you wanna remember anatomy forever! The only drawback is that u can't access it offline hence I'll rate it 4 stars otherwise it's simply perfect!
Wanted a rating within just a couple of minutes of use. They need to get someone who speaks English as their first language to do their instructions and information text. I need to watch for errors on diagrams since the instructions are so full of errors in spelling and word choice. The illustrations and program itself is awesome.
Need to be able to delineate to a finer depth and more labelings needed. Does give a good over view; an MD would not use except as a tutorial. Solve these problems and get a 5 star rating.
Great app highly recommended. Super ugly with no real attention paid to presentation however all the info you need is there and the 3D representations are great. Go into the settings and turn the graphics up, by default they're quite low and looked sh#+ but after turning them up they look great
While you write your first essay on skeletal system, this app would better guide you in rewriting written explanations in textbooks into what you see by using your own words. The essay becomes free flowing, less plagarism, more mark, less references, more bibliography, longer memory and ability to sketch on your own… exactly what a college nursing student need. Get it even if you don't want it.
Connect your device to wifi, change the colour settings to best quality and enjoy the perfect educational learning tool. Like most anatomy apps it may not have everything, but this one is very very good.
Beautiful anatomical models and good navigation system. My suggestions would be to employ a more intuitive navigation method- one finger to rotate model, two fingers to drag the model around. I have been using the app for years and will continue recommending it to friends. Thank you for making it free!
This is one fantastic app. Easy and quick to download. Runs smoothly on my Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Android 4.4.2, very sophisticated and complex, super graphics, no intrusive adverts, and I'm loving it! I've only had it about an hour, and so far am finding the interface a little confusing, haven't quite got the full hang of it yet, but its VERY impressive! A name or term searchable feature would be good, but for a free app its stunning!
So useful in my studies. Can use offline but you will need an internet connection to download each of the 'books'. Haven't investigated whether there is a "download all" button, but that would be the cherry on the cake. 5/5 would recommend.
This app is great! Very useful with 3D angles. Only con... sometimes it's a bit hard to see which part you need because of size. But, I'm sure this app is fantastic on larger screens.
I would prefer more Latin. Except that minor detail I couldn't think of a better way to make an app to learn anatomy. Maybe movies to show which muscles are connected to which movement but I'm not complaining. The app is really great.
Very impressed I have used a similar app that is very large and lots of add ons to purchase yet you guys have managed to do very much the same for free and I like the fact that it is spilt into categories highly recommend this app
The app is good and its very helpful for my study but when I want to move structure for view different parts & with different angle its difficult for me...!! So please remove this problem and make this app superb.
Specially if u have to study skull or neuro anatomy this is the one ! This atlas probably dropped from the heavens! To Who ever made this, truly words fail me .I don't know how to thank u

Great features, good interaction with 3D models, and I love the detail. Not having a medical background whatsoever, I can't speak for the accuracy of the information, but it seams too in-depth to be inaccurate. Only recommendation is to add a side option for phonetic spelling and/or a sound bit for correct pronunciation. Even without, this seems like a great app.
