This app helped me tremendously when it came to kanji, and it's very user-friendly. I was able to learn all of this is less than a week (but studying hard and consuming a lot of time was a factor). I really want them to make an app for the N4, because I can't seem to find one that is worthy enough. But other than that, it's totally worth 5 stars.

Despite being quite effective due to its short lessons, there are some bugs that need fixing. For instance, when you're in lesson 3, 6 and 9, you can not enter the next lesson by clicking the arrow key. It requires you to return to the home menu before selecting a new lesson. This doesn't occur later into the lessons, though. Also, when you're in lesson 18, which is surprisingly the last lesson, it allows you to enter the bug infested lesson 19 which is not available through the home menu. Could be longer.

I just wish they would add audio to the quizzes, so there would be more repetition. E.g., have the audio clip auto-play on the pictures quiz. Also, the lessons are extremely short. You could go through this easily in a day and not really learn all of them. But it's good for repetition.

It seems easy to use, but some of the images don't work so when you do lessons you have no idea what you are clicking just hoping for the best. I hope it gets fixed as I would like to continue to give a try... Just want to be able to see what I am learning.

This looks like it would be a super useful app. Unfortunately, none of the Japanese scripts are visible, which sort of defeats the object of the app... Have uninstalled and reinstalled, but it made no difference. Nexus 5, Android v. 6.0.1

..since Sound Off doesn't actually work, I can't use this in the locations I want to where I need it to be quiet. You need two menu options: Sound Effects Off, and Music Off. And they both need to work!

by M####:

It's a lot of fun and great for beginners. However, there are only 18 lessons and if you try to go to the next lesson after 18 using the arrow you access a hidden 19th lesson that shouldn't exist at all. I tried doing the secret 19th lesson for fun and it was the glitchiest thing I've ever seen.

I can't see any of the Kana or kanji in the boxes. It used to work perfectly on my old phone but not anymore. Please fix this. I really used to live this app

Hi, kindly update this app again because there are some missing words in the quizzes. Please do something about it. Thanks!

I really, REALLY want to enjoy this app. It looks perfect to helping me start to learn the language. Unfortunately, the blue boxes with words in them on the Picture, Word, and Connect activities do not show words at all, rendering them impossible to complete. I really hope this is fixed soon so this can get the five stars I want to give it, so please get on that.

I really like the simplisity of this app. I also like the little sountrack in the background, and the way the Lessons are divided into Units with different parts. Very clever. This app will be very useful. Thank you!

I was unable to do anything in the app as most images were missing. I checked multiple levels and I've reinstalled the app. It looked good, I'm sad it is broken :(

Looks like a good app but can't see what I'm suppose to do fix and I'll change my rating

Other modes are simple and fun, but the listen part is too tedious to do.

Kana and images are not showing, I can see the english words but the boxes where I should see the description/japanese words are empty. My phone has japanese installed.

They say learn in a week, I finished in 30 minutes, liar.

T70%

Absolutely awful. Shows numbers (in digits) with nothing else. Gives you 3 lives. No kanji, no kana, no sound. That's all. What's the point?

U70%
by U####:

I dont know why but in my phone the kanji doesnt appear so its blank

K70%

I've never had so much fun learning Kanji! Very useful and interface is awesome. I've so many apps BUT THIS IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE APP for me so far. WELL DONE!

U70%

I tried it for 5 minutes, until I realize I can't see the pictures on the exercises...So I'll wait to see if it a bug and gets fixed other than that seems pretty cool

There was hiragana and kanji but for last few weeks it disapeared (Samsung Galaxy J7)

Can't see words in any boxes and it prevents me from using the android back button.

Hard to use the app when you can't see anything in the boxes to select! Love the idea and looks like a great app. Please fix it so I can change my rating and enjoy this app!

I think this app is recommended for those who have already learn or familiarize hiragana & katakana and those who are still learning or having difficulty remembering kanji. Because of the pictures that make learning kanji is interesting and helps remembering well. As for myself, i already familarize all these kanji before downloading this app and i found this is interesting than other apps. Although this looks a bit childish for adults, i still found this method of learning and remembering is effective.

Great for learning and memorizing Kanji for beginners. The games and cute pictures really helped me memorize them all. Only downside is that you don't learn the differences between kunyomi and onyomi and all the other in depth things like stroke order. But, for basic recognitions and kanji, this is absolutely a must!! Improvement siggestions: more memorization on how to say the kanji words. Like, typing out in Romaji what the hiragana/Kanji mean. Also, add more lessons please!

Good app, but no back button? I guess this app is originally designed for iPhone, so the back button doesn't function. But guy, it is lazy of you, and it is not even hard to implement back button behavior. 3 stars until you fix this problem.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app is good for people with basic knowledge, btw, there is a small mistake in unit 11. "Mae" should be "front" not "before". Likewise, "Ushiro" should be "behind" or "back" not "after"... Everything else is thumbs up!! Very nice and user-friendly design

Y70%
by Y####:

for beginer, don't use this app, you need an app doesnt have romaji to help you remember hiragana better

T70%
by T####:

It looks like it could be great but the kanji doesn't render on the buttons, which makes the app unusable.

M70%
by M####:

Nothing can be seen in the boxes. I'll gladly change my rating if this is fixed!

L70%
by L####:

I find it was convenient, fun, easy and fast to learn Kanji. However there's one mistake I manage to spot and that was the meaning for 'ushiro' which means 'behind' but instead was taught as 'after'. Overall, it's a great app to refresh one's Kanji.

J70%
by J####:

This app is best for kanji learning with all pics but only one thing that there no test for kanji writing

R70%
by R####:

I think this is supposed to be some kind of testing educational game but I can't see answers, I have no idea what I'm being asked to do, and I was hoping for something more comprehensive than counting.

M70%
by M####:

Now, if only there was a Kanji N4 version of this to continue my Kanji learning.

R70%
by R####:

For people with some background it will be great, but three Kanji characters for a single word might be hard for some people who are starting out

M70%
by M####:

But its only until the 18th lesson. Its pretty short

Ikawa desu ka? Hachi, kyuu, juu, hyaku,... :)

M70%

would be better if the listen test is in Kana instead of Romaji.

V70%

Just wish it had more words! Please do more words for N5 and N4-N1!! I would pay any price!
