LTC Timecode Generator Free for Android
I have the free app on my phone and the paid app on my Kindle. I made a 3.5mm to BNC cable so I could use this to sync cameras and my F8. The F8 has a ROCK SOLID TC clock. But I noticed within a minute or two after being unplugged the phone drifted a whole second behind my F8. I can't even use this to jump start multiple cameras, by the second camera I'll be out of sync with the first. It just isn't accurate enough for real productions. Also I noticed the numbers on the kindle tablet are small.
:0 i dont event imagine. This app exist on android :D. Awesome
Great App, I'm trying to figure out a PC shooting workflow for Timecode and using my Android phone is a great low cost idea ! One problem I have with the app is that it doesn't run in the background. I need this feature as when I am running another app on the phone concurrently, the timecode app stops. for example. I'm running the GoPro App to control a gopro and I would like the LTC generator to run tin the background until I manually press stop on the app. Hopefully this is something you can add. Also, any plans to add WIFI or Bluetooth connectivity functionality so that you can JAM sync to the app on different phones which would be plugged into different cameras for the timecode sync ? (master slave, etc) ? That would be highly useful.
I would like it much more if the developers could stream ltc via bluetooth instead of headphones. I wonder what the delay would be? If music apps can stream audio, why not stream tc?
Perfect little app except for one thing...time code numbers should be bigger on a tablet. Bigger numbers would make it easier for camera to see. Could use tablet like a time code slate. Otherwise works great.
Plz Help me how to connect me with aja ki pro
What we really need is an LTC reader app. Please :)
Very well done, now how about doing a LTC reader, I always seem to end up with so many adapters and sex changers in the signal path when routing LTC through the lighting data rack and snake and the ability to check the signal integrity at many points just using my phone would be a god send.
i'm feeding the signal into my dslr and h4n and automatically sync it in post. it works every time and very reliably! thank you for this great app and for making it free!
I tried using it with my Roland recorder/ mixer, does not seem to read at all. I am using a BNC to XLR MALE to MINI JACK into my phone but still nothing. Could you explain why this would not work? I am set to jam set... Still nothing.

Great App. New versions can only make it even better.
Is there a way to clap sync within the app? Or do you have to use this with a slate?
Only thing you have to do, in the UK, is set it to 25fps every time. As it defaults to 24. This is hardly a criticism though. I've used this on dvcam, AJA KiPro, and black magic hdd recorders. All perfect (the KiPro's will loop out timecode as long as you leave the timecode signal going in) I'm using the free version, as time of day is what I would set any recorder to anyway. Brilliant stuff thanks
The interface looks nothing like the preview. There is no visual time code that I could find. Also no evident way to upgrade. Unless all you want is LTC, this app is useless.
Been waiting for something like this for a while. Sounds right. I have a job with 3 aja kipro's coming up this week so will test on that and feedback to you.
Simple, bold, perfect!
I've been wanting an app like this for a while to test studio clocks that read SMPTE time code. Those Wharton and Masterclock generator units are so expensive. I can't wait for my next studio build so I can try it out. For now. I'll give you 5 Stars. I'll come back and change it if it doesn't work. Off hand it "Sounds" like time code that I hear when I use my Probe in the above mentioned boxes. Great Job!
Finally I can get rid of that old mp3 on my phone.
