Enlighten Canberra

Spectacular architectural projections, international installations, live entertainment and food galore will see Enlighten transform Canberra into a nocturnal playground from 3 – 12 March 2017.

Over 10 nights, Canberra’s Parliamentary Triangle and Enlighten satellite venues (Canberra Glassworks, National Zoo and Aquarium and the Australian National Botanic Gardens) will be transformed into vibrant arts precincts, showcasing Australian premiere performances, amusing roving artists, live bands and enchanting performances – all set against a backdrop of stunning architectural projections that shine a light on some of Australia’s most iconic attractions.

This year, The Electric Canvas will present site specific designs across six iconic buildings:
• Australian Parliament House
• Old Parliament House
• National Library of Australia
• Questacon
• National Portrait Gallery
• National Gallery of Australia

And as the lights go on across the Parliamentary Triangle visitors can tuck into fun, authentic Asian eats, from dumplings to dosa, Pad Thai to gyoza at the Enlighten Night Noodle Markets. Bars and music will add to the market atmosphere.
