MapsOn Free: Offline Map

It very good and helpful but I still one problem,I can't upgrade so can you please fix that for me please

installed on SS Galaxy TAB2. initial screen of global maps so turned on GPS to find my location. nothing. then it goes to a ad for hulu tv and though it shows maps is running in background, cannot return to the maps which never did anything anyways. UNinstalled this adware spam after 20secs.

Took hours to load and when used offline asked for internet connection.

Maps are so slow to dowload, that makes this app practically useless.I took 35 minutes to download map of Easter Island, that is only 14 miles across! (Wifi of 50Mb/s was used).

The only pros is that it is really small and can fit on some ancient smartphone.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any "search" feature--I'm in NY and I want a map of the south of France. Also no navigation feature. So pretty much useless for me.

It stores the offline maps in your memory card and you get to use between Open Street Maps. Pretty easy to use. If you are not happy with the maps, well log in Open Street Maps using your computer and improve the maps and save them. Very useful it already has several restaurants, bars, guest houses hotels in, some minor things missing, but if we all work and improve the Open Street Maps this app has certainly the potential to become a 5 star app.

One of few offline maps that carry Google map data. New version now works great with Nexus 7. However, there are no way to bookmark places, so I still need to find another map program.

This app is total trash. Displays names of countries in weird arabic/persian script in addition to english names. The maps are very slow and poor search engine.

Very helpful but 1 missing thing is to mark a place on the map.

I can see the use in this (for exploring) however most people would be looking for an offline version of google maps in order to save on mobile data (as you can't navigate with offline google maps woth regards to the roads). To anyone else who's looking for such an app, THIS DOES NOT DO THIS.

If you added the ability to mark/save points on the map, perhaps with the ability to name them and write an extended description inside of the item... that would make this 100 times more useful. Thanks for the app!

now why DAFAQ does a gps app needs root and superuser acces ? what does it needs to modify in my phone ? can u explain WHY THIS PERMISSION IS NOT IN THE PERMISSION LIST ??

Just drove across Mexico using this without having a cell plan in Mexico. Zoom in on your planned route cities when you have wifi to cash street data its then saved in memory. Out on road turn on your phones GPS feature presto an arrow pops up showing exact location as a blinking arrow. What's the saying? Priceless! To know you are on right path in Mexico! 5 stars

Doesn't show or cache map propetly after new update, map just shows blank blocks when trying to view or download map area. On Galaxy S3

This app is very useful and I plan to switch to pro, but when I open the maps this morning and connect to wifi, all off map tiles change to blank grids. Why...?

Cons: 1) there is no font scaling - on high resolution displays map labels are very small (i.e. HD resolution @ 4.55inch display) 2) no caching in the background/sleep mode
