Writing Exercises and Prompts for Android
It would be better if one can actually write a story with the app under the prompt and also save and share to other platforms.
Does what it says. Just don't use it before bed unless you want themed dreams.
I love this app because of the choice between character ideas, plot ideas, and especially the choice to be given a first line. This app is super helpful for writing oneshots ????
A lot of these were very narrow and hard to work with. They didn't leave a lot of creative freedom.
I've been working on a book and thought that I should practice my writing and story telling first. So I found this app to be so helpful and it really gets my creativity flowing and I've already written 10 short stories. I only wish the prompts were updated to keep it fresh but still have the ability to save the ones we want to work on later in the favorites. Other than that thank you for the amazing app.
Honestly one of the best generators I have found! As far as other reviews people have left, app is just a generator and although it would be helpful to others to have a place to type, for those of us who use paper and pencil the app is extremely well made. A suggestion i would make however is to be more organized with the saving. It would be nice to see them saved under their original catergory to allow an easier navigation of finding what you have saved.
The idea that there are Plot, subjects, first lines, etc. to pick from is great. This is nice for continuing to write daily, or to have a block in writing broken through exploration. What I don't like about it is that when you want to save a First Line into a Favorites spot, it asks if this can be saved to 'plot'. Well, it isn't a plot. With further exploration, I cannot retrieve #1 of my saved items. It seems they are all stored in the same favorites area, and then numbered with no indicator (although you can easily discern) from whence it came...which generator. For improvement, perhaps there should be a way to save Lines to favorite lines, plots to plots, etc. This would be great for a beginners writing group with a share and feedback session as well. Maybe even add a suggestion place for each category with clear rules that has to be original work. ???? Thank you for a fun tool.
This app is very useful and has helped me come up with interesting characters. :) However it could be improved by adding more traits as descriptions start to repeat after a while and possibly including more genders apart from male and female for the characters. Overall, a cool app to have!
This app is an excellent start to writer's block. It has sections to choose from as well as having the option to save the description for later. I see on these reviews that others were not happy about not have a writer document section along with it, but this app was only meant for starters, not a word document. I recommend downloading this!
I'll give you guys a five stars when you guys have more first lines. I'm keeping this app in hopes you'll fix it. Great job, guys!
I really like the concept. Writing prompts are great to get the creative ideas started. However, being able to actually type out journal entries in the app would really help. It feels very disconnected to use 2 seperate apps to write with when I'm on the go. It would be great to get a prompt and be able to journal right under it. Other than that, it's a very useful app.
This application would be great if only it could really apply itself. It has amazing potential to be a notable writing tool however it lacks direction. The direction I am speaking of is the one that leads users to a notebook. See, this would allow for a more full experience while one uses this app. Currently, I have to generate a plot, character, or what have you. Then file this info in my tiny memory (seriously Jackie, I'm working with fumes) Then log out then into another app... You get the picture.
This is a brilliant idea with a lot of potential for growth. I love writing prompts and challenges and this is the best app I've found. For the people who don't understand what this app does, it's not a journal or word processing app. It's ideas to get you writing in your preferred medium. You will need a separate app for writing, or use this with your computer or notebook.
Okay. I love the app. It is amazing. But I dont like it when it delete old prompts by itself... I would really like it if you could change that So many other prompts could stay together or so that all the ones we saved would stay.... But other than that I love the app. It is amazing
A little too repetitive. Everyone's either rich or poor. Didn't like that it mentions car crashes as a plot suggestion. Someone else might like it better than I did.
I like this app and hope to see some upgrades. The only thing I don't like and the reason for the four star vs. a five star rating is the fact the screen won't rotate to landscape view. I use this on my tablet. set in its keyboard like a laptop. It gets old trying to read the screen sideways. One other thing, to those whining about "where do I write," good grief people. Open your text editor or word processor and write your freakin' story there. This app isn't meant to be a full fledged writing program.
Not bad in what it offers but most of them are cut and paste
You need to work on the presentation of the app. I think a lot of people will enjoy looking at it more. That green background is just really ugly.
This is very stimulating. It opens a whole world of creativity before you. I strongly recommend it to writers who have ever been crippled by writer's block
Please give more space for favorites. Maybe categorize them. It's good overall, but please think about those two things. Thank you.
Everything about this is so neat and useful. Its easy to use and to generate ideas from, and the format is so simple and organized. The save option is amazing! I suggest adding just a theme tab, or even a list of basic themes for us to expand on. I will be recommending this to my writer and reader friends on Wattpad.
It is a good app with thought provoking prompts. I do wish that there was somewhere in the app where you could write the entries for each prompt with a in-app timer. It would be great if you could journal right under the prompt or in a separate included notebook page or something like that.
Useful for anyone struggling to start a story. I'm getting really old characters often.
I'm totally enjoying this app. I always wanted to write but wanted a plot, character of sorts. This app helps me with it and I'm truly loving every minute spent on writing.
There is no opinion to learn professional writtings from where to start.
I make a habit of doing one creative writing prompt daily. The random first-line generator has kept me running. :)
This app doesnt appear to offer a place to write anything, other than that it is pretty good
I don't understand where I can write
I love the way it sparks my creativity. It just seems to repeat certain parts too often.
Love it really useful. Gives me lots of inspiration. Easy to use and understand.
This is a must have for writers I love it so much!!!
I like the subjects and stuff... could do with some fictional random plots and something to peak the interest of maybe young writers, just saying that would be cool, but other than that it's really good.
It's wonderful to finally have a cure for writers block. It's also great to just start a prompt and write for a day. The only quarrel I have...I've used a majority of the available prompts, so add some more y'hear? :)
Please tell me where on this app do I write down my stories? Is there a place within this app a space to write or do I write it some other place? Please respond.
This app is amazing! It gives tons of ideas for writing a really great story! I love it!
The only reason this is getting 4 instead of 5 is because there is a limit of 30 prompts that you can save to favorites, and the faves option does not sort your prompts by category. I would like to be able to store unlimited prompts for later use in 100 themes blogs. Otherwise this ap is awesome, the prompts really give me a case of plot bunnies!
This little app is brilliant, actually. Creates random characters, scenarios, etc, that you can save to favourites for future use. I find it quite inspiring to write as I randomise the possibilities. Layout is crisp and uncluttered and attractive.
I have been struck with writers block for about 10 years until i was told about this app, once again thank you xx
Does what it says. Just don't use it before bed unless you want themed dreams.
