MyPOD V2 podcast manager beta for Android
Thanks for your work.
After I switched back to v1 two or three times already, I thought it'd work now finally. But the player still doesn't really work. And it's basics which don't... It randomly skips the last part of the podcast, sometimes it jumps some 10 secs into the next one. Most annoying: it stops after a while when you listen - pressing on/off or a volume button brings it back. It's a shame it STILL does not work. I'm on LG G2.
New version is good. Getting to the full player screen is annoying. You have to set the app to use the full player in the settings. If i were the developers, I'd make that the default like the old version had. When listening to a podcast in a Playlist, the player randomly jumps to the next podcast before the current podcast is finished. This has happened at all times. Just a few minutes into a podcast or within a few minutes of the end of a podcast.
Been following this app for a while and it's really coming into form. Keep it up.
And next time I wish the developer gives me an option to download the beta. Having to fix the feeds you lost is not fun. Im happy to help test a new version. But dont force it on me by taking away a working version and replace it with something that is unstable.
If the old version is working for you, don't load the new one. First you lose all of your feeds. If that's not annoying enough the new version just stops working randomly and you have to reopen. Super convenient on a run. Disappointed.
Update and you lose your saved feeds. Search for feeds and they don't show. Exact name in search does not show up at first. That didn't get fixed.
Best in class!!! I bounced from client to client until I found MyPOD. Someone just reported the new interface is buggy. Have you checked your version number? As of today, this new interface still has B after the number. This means it's still in BETA! Don't participate in a beta if you can't cut them a little slack and give them time to perfect the new design. It was a complete overhaul to material design. Not a minor upgrade.
I've been using this since beta days and always loved it! It's nice and clean, easy to use and just missing one feature. For full marks just add a nice online feed sync/backup like ColorNote.
Generally keeps all the functions of V1 but it is just plain hard to find things. I don't have the patience. Reverting
Does it all.. great content and easy to use. My go to app.
Like many others, lost all my feeds with an update. Very annoying.
Thanks for your work.
One of the last updates jacked it all up, now nothing downloads automatically. The UI is extremely hard to get used to. It's not an intuitive product but at least it used to work.
I used to think it wasn't possible to have a worse interface for an app than version 1 of mypod. But I was wrong! This interface is much more confusing. Don't think slapping "for power users" is a get of jail free card for making an application clean and functional. I am a power user and used the old version for 18 months. This interface is bad. Also the Web remote interface is constantly giving java null pointer exceptions. I am off now to find the previous version.
Great app and great support. Ask if you have issues.
This program was good but unstable in version 1. Version 2 is solid, and I really appreciate the effort and dedication the developer has put into it. Try it!
Really love the new interface and playlists. Youtube search is awesome. I can play youtube videos in the background. This app really does everything..
Love this app. I listen to podcasts all day and my pod keeps them coming.
Bought the app years ago for the potential but ended up uninstalling. Just now decided to give it a second chance. It's still functionally an above average pod catcher. I would focus all current development on creating a better user experience and UI. Two words: Material Design.
My favorite pod catcher
One of the best for podcasts!
Best in class!!! I bounced from client to client until I found MyPOD. Love the new interface.
Lwets you download and play podcasts but ONLY one time? Crippleware!
Wsj news hub won't update. Also any chance of adding 2x playback?
Great app.
Have been using this since v1 and still love it. Be aware this version is in beta so still being bug fixed but even so best one I've used and fixes happen quickly if you let them know what's happening. I love the control you have and that you can organise it all from your device no need to plug into a computer to update episodes.
Lots of typos creates new desktop shortcut every time you open app flying tutorials are annoying, even AFTER you turn them off very pretty, but busy, interface can't set time of day for updates (when exactly does the daily schedule kick off?) I'll keep an eye out for the finished product.
Really didnt like the interface. App may work awesomely, but I couldnt get past the look of everything.
I can't stand the new user interface- I find it busy (cluttered) and confusing. I'm still using the old version, despite being pretty buggy, because I can't stand the new one. I've been a loyal user of the old Mypod for years, and paid for the pro version, but sadly I will soon be looking for an alternative app. If you could simplify the new UI, or find a way to make it more similar to the old one, I will reconsider using this.

Works ok, downloads and updates feeds fine, but stops playing the podcast about 15 sec before the end. Kind of a deal breaker.

Works like wonders
Wsj news hub won't update
Good job! Nice catcher and player. Only wish it would play and stop automatically when it connects to my car radio.
Interface not getting better, still difficult to fathom. After updating and downloading became erratic, I finally gave up and installed podcast addict: it's simpler, and it works.
I used to use PodcastAddict and it worked really well but this app has everything and is really easy to use.
Loved v1 and now love v2 more! Doing a great job devs.

It's surprising how many podcast clients do not allow you to save your gigabytes of podcast to an SD card. For that reason alone this is my favorite podcast client I've tried on Android. Additionally the option to save and export you're podcast list is another nice feature. For all those reasons five stars. -1 star for the occasional crash and a weird problem where my audio stops playing and forcing a stop does not solve the problem but rebooting the phone does. This might be a problem with the Android phon
