Some good features but on 2 samsung phones (currently S6) menu button doesn't show therefore cannot personalise settings. If that was sorted it would be really useful. Yried long press of bottom LH button and ge a message "Boatie does not support spli screen view". Come on guys, this used to be a must have app. Now I'm probably going to delete unless it's brought up to date. Real shame.

I loved this app on my old 'phone (once i managed to make it work). However, i cant believe that after four years they still cant be arsed to fix it for galaxy users. PS. The 'long hold on bottom left button' trick doesnt work either.

Was recommended this app by RYA instructor but the menu button doesn't appear on Android Galaxy not 2 phones. This should be clearly stated so we dont waste money. How do I get a refund?

Disappointed to find it to not be as up to date as the iOS app. Doesnt follow new Android Material Design guidelines and not sure if the solent racing buoys are up to date?

Used to be brilliant. No menu button on Galaxy S7 so cannot change forecast area to Plymouth from Portsmouth. Very disappointed now.

Bought the app. Looks good but unless you live in portmouth it is useless. No menu button. DON'T BUY THIS APP

It was OK for a while, then the next couple menu button disappeared and you could not change the areas for weather or tide timings!

it could be very useful for sailing and coastwatch. However th developer seems to develop for the IOS platform only and does not test or check on android devices -should not be allowed to charge on a platform he does not test & update!

Useless on Android, no menu button showing on Samsung, until this is fixed don't pay for it

I've been using Boatie for a while (andvrecommend it to my RYA students) and rate it. Just loaded to new Samsung tablet and lost the 'menu' button, but thanks to a review from over a year ago saw that a long press on the left hand button on Samsung devices accesses the menu. It works!

Almost excellent. There's no menu button on a Samsung S7. I can't change to the tides I want to see. Not a lot of use and too late for a refund. Sort it out please.

Don't waste money on this app like I did, no response from people made the app and there is no menu so the port can't be altered, my port displayed is Portsmouth but I'm in Cowes?

As the later reviewers have all said, the newer galaxy's do not have the relevant menu button, so no longer able to change port or sea area. This was such a good app, please update with an internal menu.

Used to be a great little app but since upgrading my phone to an s6 the menu button no longer works so it's become a bit useless. Shame as I used it a lot. Please fix.

This app is great on most phones but I have just got a samsung galaxy note 4 and there is no menu button visibility unless someone can advise otherwise

Couldn't open the menu button on my Samsung so emailed James and this is what he sent back. "On Samsung devices, the menu button is a long press of the bottom left button". All working now, Thanks James for you quick response and now a working Boatie. Pam.

How do I get my £5 back? There is no menu button on my device which obviously makes this app totally useless.

Found local tides. I found menu button no problem. Swipe u up and look for 3 dots.

Focused on Solent Sailors. Weather, tides, waypoints and reference in one neat package.

No menu button on Galaxy S7 either, tried bottom left hold down but that didn't work either. Weather charts poor quality, don't fill the screen and are now only available for next 2 days.. wow this went down hill..

Sadly not updated for some time, developer appears to have committed efforts to iOS because that version is pretty impressive. Perhaps the Android market isn't as great, who knows.

Would like to use this app on some of my other android devices as it is so useful. Using my Samsung tab s and LG G3 I cannot change the local ports for tides or select the area in the inshore forecast. I find it very useful for sailing and coastwatch.

It was great until the last update, where the menu button is no longer in the bottom right corner of screen. So you can't change port etc. Please fix - Samsung Galaxy S6. Thanks.

There is no menu button so useless. Have emailed developer but no reply.

Stopped being able to download weather or tide information over the last few days. Won't work on 4g or WiFi. Have tried restarting a few times to no avail. Use this app alot normally and always been happy with it.

No menu contacted app developer they said they would get back to me, no contact as of yet. Uninstalled and reinstalled and no menu again.

There is no menu button for selection, have used this app on ios and its great, all functions are good. Just no support for boatie on Android
