The Southport Air Show is the biggest of its kind in the North West and takes place over the weekend of 20th & 21st September. Located on the seafront of Southport the Air Show has a wide diversity of aircraft including military and civilian, and a huge range of ground activities in the Air Show Village to keep the entire family entertained.
Southport lies on the coast just 20 miles north of Liverpool and is a traditional Victorian seaside town – but with a contemporary twist. It combines beautiful beaches, family attractions and the UK’s oldest iron pier with fantastic shopping, a superb choice of restaurants, world-class golf and a choice of accommodation from 4-star hotels to boutique guesthouses. Add to this a vibrant events programme, great nightlife and you’ll never be short of something to do.
This app will give you all of the information you need for the Air Show; what aircraft are attending, opening times, travel information and you will be updated on new aircraft and attractions as they are confirmed. The app is free to download so you have all the information you need at your fingertips. You can buy your tickets through the app, through our secure ticket agent and once you have downloaded the app you can also choose to download the display times for a small charge.

Tried to use the app at the airshow but no data connection and the management hadnt put up ENOUGH wifi to connect to. So what was the point? Overall a good airshow spoiled by poor management!!!

According to the app Sunday 2014 has been cancelled due to severe weather and refunds will be issued. Pity it wasn't checked before it was released

As said before.. surprised its free.. bit confused by the foreign news feeds scrolling across the bottom though!?!

No problems with overlapping images/text on the Galaxy S3. Infact it all works really well and is very informative. The RSS feed across the bottom is in a foreign language and there's seemingly no way to change it as reported in an earlier review and the settings option which is displayed by the menu button does nothing. Also note that the back button exits the app! Well worth a download though and now looking forward to the air show tomorrow, should be a good day out.

There's some pretty big issues with the app on my phone. The images are all jumbled up and the light blue box that text is in doesn't display text correctly, in a way that means when I scroll, the text scrolls too thought the blue area. It's all hard to explain but basically it doesn't work :(
