Attenborough's Story of Life

Can't believe someone said the videos were poor quality, of course some are, but they were filmed at a time when we didn't have colour TV and HD. This app is superb. If you want to see it on a big TV, connect a HDMI cable to phone and plug it in the TV.

Horribly pixelated and im on a fast connection. Good concept but needs work.

This has Sir David Attenborough 's best documentaries. I just love it as I'm a core Wildlifer and the way he has documented it is way too great...

Glorious and breathtaking. All you've come to expect and love from the great man. Must watch for any nature lover. Absolutely brilliant.

The content of this app is amazing! It took me a few minutes to sort out the interface; it's an interesting concept to be sure. :-)

I can't see any video in my phone. Whenever the video starts, it's force shut down as app crashes. Please solve this problem.

Thank you BBC and David. I have watched many episodes over the years and enjoyed all of them. Myself and my children have learnt so much about the natural world that seems alian to people who live in the city.

This app is a perfect example that British mobile apps and websites consistently raise the standard of UI and UX to groundbreaking levels. This app is an absolute joy to use. Next: please enable full Chromecast and Android TV support.

Sad to see how Attenborough's aged as I grew up watching his documentaries. But what an app this is! It's got not just his more modern documentaries but his older ones as well from the seventies and eighties. I understand that the BBC licensing forbids the downloading of the clips so you can't really knock a star off for that, it's not David's fault! Easily five stars and one of the best apps for Android.

Been waiting a long time for this app and finally it has arrived. I absolutely love these wonderful captivating shows with amazing visual and fantastic narration by Sir David Attenborough of all things faboulous. Thank you for bringing this out it's brilliant. I'm dying to see much more from David. He is all inspiring and just a wonderful human being.

This is fantastic. One of the most useful, learning, interesting, stock for all, charming app I've ever come across. And the Man narrating these wonderful things ???? Thank you so much BBC for creating this application, worth keeping since I've bought my mobile. And if you are wise enough you will ignore minor bugs and crashes.

I restarted the app a few times and thought it was broken, takes close to 30 seconds for the screen to change from the initial picture of David when you open it... other than that it works well and allows you to explore many clips of some of the most influential nature documentaries of the last couple decades and one of my favorite narrators of all time.

I've been watching this man my whole life and I'm so grateful for all the hours of spectacular moments documented by his crew and his dedication to protect the natural world! I'm truly inspired! Now, just about to do my GCSEs, I have planned out my future career (if all goes well) of being a consavationist, and will be honoured to carry out what Sir David Attenborough fights for ( ;

Wonderful content. Really fascinating stuff. The only complaint I have is when the video is loading and it gives you a brief description of the video, said description is difficult to read. Not a serious problem. Just that the size of it could be a little bigger. Maybe the background should be black until the video is playing.

Sir David Attenborough! Really wonderful. I'm sure there can't be a more wonderful app than this one. HD clarity, and of course the all familiar voice of Sir David Attenborough, makes this app truly wonderful. Kudos to this man, and BBC for having produced all of this! Truly spectacular. ????????

I absolutely love this app, content-wise it is incredible, with some videos ranging back to 1956. The only real small complaint I have is the inability to use Chromecast with it!! I'm sure something will be done anyway, I would love to watch all this on the big screen.

I love Sir David a lot but this app is nothing more than a joke. Please consider a recheck and repair your codes. WHATEVER I do it says OH DEAR STORY OF LIFE IS COMLICATED AND SOMETHING GOT WRONG BLA BLA BLA

I'd have to say, this app is great as much as the content it offers. I'm really amazed at how God has created all of this and His works really are wonderful. Capture them on camera and let Sit David Attenborough narrate is just pure beauty. Thank you so much as I also don't need to pay to watch the amazing contents. One thing I would like to see from the app though is the option to choose the resolution for the videos as they can consume good amount of data. Though it did warn me to use Wi-Fi, I would like to see this added in the future updates. This is a great thing though, thank you so much for the wonderful content BBC. Keep it up y'all guys! If I could give this zero stars I would. Every time I try launching it freezes on the David Attenborough splash screen and nothing else happens. It doesn't matter whether on data or Wi-Fi, I always have the same result. Very disappointing since all of the other BBC apps I have installed work well.

If it wasn't for Sir David Attenborough. I would not be an Animal and Wildlife Biologist and traveled the globe and seen the things I've seen and help protect what I can! ThanQ so much Sir Attenborough Dude! I truly love you and I'm so glad you've started talking about your opinions about the Living planet and its inhabitants :D

If I can even get past the title screen when the app opens, I can't get ANY of the videos to actually play. It says: "The Story of Life is complicated and something has gone really wrong. We can't play this clip right now --but we will work to fix the problem" for every single clip I try to watch. I wanted to love this app because i love Sir David but I can't love something I can't even use. Fix the bugs and I will gladly rate a 5.

Amazing. Thank you sir David for all the great work you've done. Only thing it's missing us resuming, all videos will restart from beginning when you fire them up again.

Poor quality videos. No settings available to improve quality. I know they are old clips but its probably only worth watching on a mobile. Longest clip so far was 2 minutes.

The best of the rest by far Sir D Attenborough,am dreading the day his name comes up on the news, when he goes (you know.) I have every dvd/blue ray/3d of this man's work, even some of his early days marvellous fancy making a life time career like this, WoW amazing what a awesome dream. "went ott soz)

The BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol is acknowledged as the finest in the world. 10 minutes viewing of this,truly wonderful app, is all the proof you need. Attenborough's name is enough to bring respect and authenticity to any programme, this is no exception. No other tv network can do this, thanks to the BBC and it's place in British cultural life we have a legacy that continues to 'inform, educate and entertain'. Thank you!

I love this app. It's provided an incredible alternative to the Finding Dory trailer at my two-year-old's bedtime these past months, and probably saved my sanity. More, as an ecology graduate I'm always aware of just how uniquely lucky zoology has been to have Attenborough as a spokesman. We need to cherish him, and ensure his voice remains, regardless of how his medium changes.

I have given one less star because it did not have any language changing option .I am from India so I could understand Hindi but rarely English .So many people are there in India like me who wants to see your video because of problem of language they can't. Please update your app .

Really good idea from the BBC however lacks enough content to make your own collections worth making... would love it if the clips where longer than the meagre few minutes

Typical Attenborough, I have been watching Attenborough since I was three (now doing GCSE's) and still holds me captivated, the app has amazing clips and a unconventional but strangely intuitive circular play bar that molds into the clip. Easy to find what you want. And brilliant if you want to catch up on sections you have missed from old or new documentary's. Would definitely recommend. The BBC have really out done themselves on this one. Absolutely spectacular, thumbs up to every one involved.

This is amazing! The episodes date back to 1980s and they are all here free of charge. Beautiful UI design. Only problem is the videos can't be downloaded, can't knock off a star for that as the app is so perfect.

Crashes all the time. Couldn't watch even 1 clip or video, terrible compatibility!

This is a fantastic app regardless you have watched Planet Earth II or not. I downloaded this for sheer respect for Sir David Attenborough. But I got more in the bargain. I have the entire Planet Earth Blu-ray box set and waiting for last year's Planet Earth II Blu-ray release at a bargain price. This app has some of the choicest cuts/behind the scenes from PA II, and it's all well organised in this app. It's way better than the dated wildlife​ videos people keep posting on the social media.

By far the best app I have ever downloaded. I have grown up watching documentaries by Sir David Attenborough and they are a huge reason why I work with animals today. This app brings amazing bits of life from all over the world, right to you. I have only watched four videos so far, and am in love. 10 stars! ☺

It's easy to rate this app five stars purely because of Sir David Attenborough, but to top it off it's a great app in itself. The interface, quality, control and explore mechanisms are polished, and does an excellent job at conveying the wonder and sense of exploration so central to Attenborough's message. If I dare request a feature, it'd be for Chromecast support.

V. Interesting if you like nature. Bought to you by the man who's enthusiasm for his subject is infectious. The segments are just the right length to stop you getting bored. Excellent for lovers of nature.

I think for me i love every minute of filming the wilderness ,life on this earth , the stories , graphics, beautiful i love the inspiration ,the heart warmth you bring , marvelous work credit creaw, ha robotic aniimals ,catches the world we don't see Thank you for your kindness sir David Attenborough Bro

Great app, great content. The only thing preventing from receiving a 5 star review is the lack of Chromecast support.

This app is amazing. Having all of Attenborough's clips in one place is great and the app itself is very stable and easy to use. I especially like the 'create your own collection' section so I can make a mini movie of my favourite sections
