The current beta version of Road Rules includes the following rules:
✓ Automatically respond to text messages, providing current location or an alert when done driving
✓ Share live location in text messages when you include #location in your message
Road Rules automatically senses when you are driving and handles your texts for you so that you never need to touch your phone while you drive. No need for additional hardware for your car, it works with your existing phone and text app.

Automatically replies for you when are driving. Using a hashtag to automatically provide your position is a great idea. Can't wait for a feature that reports your ETA.

Looking forward to trying out this app, however for some reason when given a choice of "devices" it Refuses to allow me to switch to my current iPhone (insists I'm using a Samsung something or other). So that needs fixing, or I need some direction please..

This is the slickest anti-text-and-drive app I've seen. Does exactly what I need with no other bloatware. Keeps my eyes safely on the road!

When it works, it works great! It might have a few kinks when it detects when I’m driving but it’s an early version so I’m sure they’ll figure it out.

This app works well in reducing SMS distractions while driving. Also the location sharing feature with a simple hashtag works well. I use that feature to keep my family aware of my location when I begin a trip. I'm hoping for more messaging integration such as Facebook and Google Hangouts. Also, it would be nice if there was a way for you to designate certain bluetooth devices as 'car' devices so the app can better detect that I'm actually driving. This app could save you or your loved one's life... Safe driving people!
