קניון שער הצפון הוא הקניון הראשון בארץ עם תקן לבנייה ירוקה בכלל ובעל הסמכת LEED בפרט. לראשונה בישראל, הוסדרו 200 חניות לאופניים ואף מקלחות לרווחת המבלים, שיגיעו לקניון בדווש או ברגל.

משרד האדריכלים 'משה צור' שבנה פרויקטים יוקרתיים רבים וזכה בפרסי מצוינות בעיצוב ובתכנון, עיצב ותכנן את הקניון על פי ערכים עיצוביים בינלאומיים, תוך חשיפה למרקם העירוני, כחלק מהנראות החיצונית שלו.
