מאז מינויו למנהל אמנותי בשנת 1990 ביסס אוהד נהרין את בת-שבע כאחת מלהקות המחול האהובות והמוערכות בעולם. בת-שבע מובחנת בזכות קולו הכוריאוגרפי הנועז של נהרין ואיכות הביצוע הייחודית ורבת-היופי של רקדניה.
בת-שבע היא להקה בינלאומית המונה כ- 40 רקדנים בשתי להקות: הלהקה הבכירה ואנסמבל בת-שבע, הלהקה הצעירה; רקדניה מגיעים מן הארץ ומן העולם. להקת בת-שבע היא להקת המחול הגדולה בישראל והיא מקיימת כ-250 הופעות בשנה לכ-100,000 צופים.
רקדני הלהקה לוקחים חלק פעיל בתהליכי היצירה בסטודיו ויוצרים בעצמם במסגרת הפרויקט השנתי "רקדני בת-שבע יוצרים" המתקיים בתמיכת קרן מיכאל סלע לעידוד אמנים צעירים בבת-שבע.
שפת התנועה המהפכנית שפיתח נהרין - גאגא, משמשת כשיטת האימון היומיומית של רקדני הלהקה. Batsheva is an international band which has approximately 40 dancers in two groups: senior band and the Batsheva Ensemble, young band; Dancers come from the country and abroad. Batsheva Dance Company is the largest in Israel and has about 250 shows a year to about 100,000 viewers.
The dancers take part in the creative process in the studio and create their own project as part of the annual "Batsheva dancers creating" held with the support of Michael Sela to encourage young artists Bat-Sheva.
The revolutionary movement language developed by Naharin - Gaga, is used as a method of daily training dancers.
