- Adblock: Doesn’t display or download advertisements.
- Fast: Blocks unnecessary network requests... like those ads you'd rather not see.
- All the features you love, in your control: You choose whether or not to save your history and favorites, include autocomplete results, and more.
- Beautifully simple: Built with love and careful design. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered.
- Open source: We’ve open sourced our core library so everyone can critique and build on our work.
Krypton is a private, secure browser for everyday use. If you're interested in even more security and Tor integration, try out the sister app, Krypton Anonymous.
*Krypton is beta software! We fully expect that there are improvements to be made, and will be continually improving the app experience, especially with your help.
I installed as a secondary browser to Firefox, now I find I often chose to use it - it's so easy, quick and intuitive. I like the simple no-frills approach, and it is fast, though for me the most important aspect is the emphasis on privacy, though security may be an issue. The app description states it doesn't save any cookies, inclusion of Adblock and HTTPS Everywhere is essential too, but what about the cache, web site data, form data etc? Intuitive, straight forward UI - I love the short-press to open in same tab, and long-press to open in new tab - it's quick, intuitive and elegant. Wish list: ▪ a "close all tabs" option in the tabs screen, ▪the addition of alternative high privacy search engines, particularly Startpage & Ixquick, ▪to be able to view a list of sites that are marked as "favourites" (as cookies are kept for these sites). 7" tablet.
Worked real good on my Note 3 & 8; will not run on the new S7.. Since the S7 is new, I will not down grade my previous rating.
When I first started using it the developer actually replied to my emails. Ever since the update in February, the last one this app has received, the emails have stopped. The app constantly crashes when you click on the tabs button or when you click to open a new tab. No responce from the dev about this pretty much means there will never be a fix. An unsupported app is one that shouldnt be downloaded. One star rating
I buy this app like 2 days ago and doesn't work it said "Unfortunately Krypton has stop", please fix. I don't know if is that doesn't have the latest update, because I have a Samsung Galaxy S7
Please update for 6.0, it keeps on crashing upon boot. Other than that....its a pretty good browser
Unfortunately for me, I use the omnibar as both to search and access pages. Krypton has this annoying tendency of finishing my result as soon as I've typed in the first letter of my search term. It's autocomplete rather than suggestion, which is annoying because 90% of the time, I have to delete the extra autocomplete characters to search. Please fix.
I can't believe it's abandoned. It was great in the beginning.
The app is no longer supported.
Really good browser but keeps freezing on 5.1
just what I needed
Bought tor version. Simply doesn't work. Read reviews before you buy. No dev response. Uninstalled.
Needs update to work with marshmallow
Was my preferred browser for most purposes. Seems to crash on M though, for me at least.
Adguard still shows blocked ads for this app. So much for a browser which claims it blocks ads. Refund and uninstalling.
Stop working on android 6
Abandoned. Will change when dev gets this going again.
Keeps crashing on launch
Crash with marshmallow !!
Backup browser
Great browser, wouldn't use it to head to onion land due to not being able to bootstrap, but great for the clear net.
Nors nera Flash, gerai rodo Geni medžius
The focus on Privacy is nice and the browser is lightning fast. But not saving Cookies for example makes using things like Facebook a bloody pain... and that Krypton and Krypton Anonymous are two separate apps makes no sense at all...
Works fine but I really couldn't see a difference from the free app.
Doesn't even work for me
I like the simple no-frills approach, and it is fast, though for me the most important aspect is the emphasis on privacy. I never keep cookies in any browser, which makes Krypton very attractive, and the inclusion of Adblock and HTTPS Everywhere is essential too, so scores on all three counts. Intuitive, straight forward UI - I like the short-press to open in same tab, and long-press to open in new tab. Otherwise tab handling could be improved with an option to either switch to the new tab, or stay with the old tab, (preferably on the fly). Also, an "x" to close the open tab would save having to go to the tabs screen. The app description states it doesn't save any cookies; what about the cache, web site data, form data etc? Currently it is not possible to see which sites are "favourites". As cookies are kept for these sites, I think at least an option to view this list is essential, & how is a site "un-favourited"? Android 4.2.2 on 7" tablet.
Doesn't have every feature ever, but it more than makes up for it by keeping a simple and stylish interface. With the new update's fixes, it's the one browser that's never gotten in the way of my web browsing.
I've got half a dozen browsers on my tablet, one of them against my will - thanks google - but this is the one I always find myself using.
Works pretty well and seems to be very secure
Integrates very well with Krypton Anonymous & TOR. My new favorite browser that I would recommend to family & friends.
Great browser, wouldn't use it to head to onion land due to not being able to bootstrap, but great for the clear net.
Fast, light, simple and only one permission. The only missing feature is an option to exit.
As above, I've been experiencing such problems recently. The APK file and videos I downloaded couldn't be opened. They worked when I download them from Chrome beta. Please fix it. Other than that, brilliantly awesome!
So, every once in a while I get tired of using chrome because it feels a bit bloated. What I end up doing is going through the top browsers on google play and trying them out (again) but I always end up going back to chrome because the other browsers are just worse (they have ads or are often even more bloated). Well, not today! Today I ran into this browser. At first I tried out the free version and was about to complain that it didn't have a favorites option but then I found this. So far I dont have ANY complaints. This browser is super nice looking, I love the fact that the URL bar is at the bottom (helps us people with 5+ inch phones). Im looking forward to seeing how this product evolves but for now its working out great for me.
The privacy features are comforting, and I suspect they are interfering with mechanisms some sites use to make their content harder to read.
Then I had to get the full version. Best of all, no requirements with that simple minimalistic browsing. Could use some improvements, like being able to access an apk file downloaded. Keep up the great work!
Best browser by a mile it puts chrome and Firefox to shame with its speed and ad blocker
Love the simplicity and speed. Would love a back and forward set of buttons, at least for me that would make it the perfect browser.
Please don't abandon this app! Almost the perfect browser, been searching for years for it. Bookmarks and long press to download pic would be welcomed! Still awesome! Friends who use browsers that never close don't understand.
Encryption/anonymity aside, I like how fast this browser operates compared to some of the "standard" competitors. I do agree with others though that the long-press-opens-new-tab aspect is a little goofy. Fix that and I'll go with five stars!

2nd revision My M9 was marshmellowed tonite. Uh-oh. Bad Google bad! Revised: changed to 5-star. Now generally my default browser. Faster than firefox, redirect tolerant. 1st Mainly paid for this to support the anonymous version. Could use minor ui tweaks, this is alot better than "incognito mode" browsers like .... or forcing an incognito tab.
