Labrador West

The Labrador West application has been designed to connect users with the Labrador West region, which is made up of the twin towns of Labrador City and Wabush. It has been built to compliment the Labrador West website and provide visitors to and residents of the area with a quick and portable way of learning more about the region.

Apart from learning about the history of the area, users can gain a sense of the climate, geography, and demography that are unique to the area. Additionally, for those looking to move to the area, plenty of information is provided about the community services that are available, including emergency services, recreation, accommodations, and education.

The Work section of the app has been designed to give users a sense of what it means to be employed in the region. As a mining town, a large proportion of the workforce is involved in this industry, either directly or in a support capacity. However, for those looking to begin working in the region, there are plenty of available opportunities in a variety of other industries.

The Play section is useful for both residents and visitors alike and provides access to information about the facilities, community programs, and community events found in the region.
