L'applicazione, completamente gratuita, fa essenzialmente due cose. 1) Su una mappa Google ti mostra la tua posizione Gps. 2) Ti permette di inviare un Sms ad un numero di tua scelta premendo un semplice tasto. L'Sms, nel quale puoi anche inserire un messaggio di testo personalizzato, contiene un link di Google Maps con le coordinate della tua posizione al momento dell'invio. Abbiamo distinto il caso in cui tu desideri semplicemente condividere con qualcuno la tua posizione (vedi area dell'app chiamata "sono qua"), dalla situazione di emergenza in cui tu possa trovarti (area "emergenza"). In entrambi i casi la semplice pressione del pulsante "invia sms" ti permette di spedire l'Sms con le tue coordinate anche in assenza di connessione internet. Chi riceve il link, potrà visualizzarlo con Maps di Google e non è necessario che abbia l'applicazione installata.

NESSUN DATO RELATIVO ALLA TUA POSIZIONE TRANSITA DAI SERVER DI AIUTO.CLICK. In particolare, le mappe sono fornite da Google in tempo reale, mentre i numeri di cellulare da te indicati e il contenuto dei messaggi restano memorizzati all'interno del tuo smartphone. Le notifiche di ingresso nelle Zone di Interesse Locale, che saranno introdotte progressivamente, vengono generate all'interno dell'applicazione. Nessun dato di geolocalizzazione viene inviato a server esterni, che non siano quelli di Google.

SVILUPPI FUTURI. Nel corso dei prossimi mesi saranno attivate, IN VIA SPERIMENTALE e in vari punti del globo, Zone di Interesse Locale (ZIL). Cliccando sull'icona di ogni ZIL, saranno visibili utili info, sia per il turista che per chi abita nell'area. All'ingresso in ogni ZIL una notifica, con le info del luogo, sarà visibile nell'area notifiche del tuo dispositivo.

ALTRI DETTAGLI. La mappa viene visualizzata con un angolo che permette di vedere edifici e monumenti in 3D là dove Google ha già attivato la copertura (ad oggi nelle grandi città o per alcuni monumenti storici come ad esempio la Torre di Pisa). Per ulteriori approfondimenti, rimandiamo al sito web dell'app. La mappa è sensibile sia al tocco singolo (si sposta facilitando la consultazione) che al tocco prolungato: genera un segnalino di colore verde, utile per indicare temporaneamente mète da raggiungere o luoghi da evitare. E' possibile spostare i segnalini poggiando il dito su di essi e trascinandoli nella posizione desiderata (all'inizio è probabile che si generi un nuovo segnale, poi con la pratica saremo in grado di spostarli con facilità). I segnali aggiunti alla mappa si cancellano alla chiusura dell'applicazione.

NOTE. L'applicazione consiste di tre finestre ("home", "sono qua", "emergenza"), attivabili dal menu nascosto sul lato sinistro del dispositivo (vedi screenshot). Per accedere alla mappa, cliccare sul tasto di colore blu con scritto "aiuto.click". All'apertura dell'applicazione si accede alla "home" (pulsante blu). DA QUESTA POSIZIONE E' POSSIBILE ATTIVARE IL MENU A SCOMPARSA SUL LATO SINISTRO DELLO SCHERMO. Per attivarlo, o trascinare da sinistra verso destra il lato sinistro dello schermo, oppure premere il tasto nell'angolo in alto a sinistra con le tre linee orizzontali di colore grigio. In verde, "sono qua" e in rosso l'area "emergenza".
IMPORTANTE. Per individuare la tua posizione sulla mappa, premi in ogni momento il simbolo nell’angolo in alto a destra della stessa. FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS. Over the next few months will be activated, EXPERIMENTAL and at various points of the globe, Zone of Local Interest (ZIL). By clicking the icon of each ZIL, useful info will be visible, both for tourists and for those who live in the area. ZIL every entrance in a notification, with the details of the place, will be visible in the notification area of ​​your device.

OTHER DETAILS. The map appears with an angle that allows you to see the buildings and monuments in 3D where Google has already activated the coverage (to date in the big cities or to some historical monuments such as the Tower of Pisa). For further details, refer to the website of the app. The map is sensitive to both the single touch (moves facilitating consultation) that touch extended: generates a token green, useful to indicate temporarily goals to be achieved or places to avoid. The signals added to the map are deleted when the application exits.
