Mit iGräser kann man die 111 häufigsten einheimischen Wald- und Freiland-Grasarten (Poaceae) der Schweiz sowohl im nicht-blühenden als auch im blühenden Zustand einfach, schnell und zuverlässig bestimmen. Die Bestimmung erfolgt über individuell gewählte Merkmale aus den Bereichen (1) Standort, (2) Wuchsform, (3) Wuchshöhe, (4) Vegetative Merkmale (Blätter), (5) Generative Merkmale (Blüten), bzw. (6) Gattung (Systematik), unter Einbezug der Verbreitungsdaten via GPS-Ortung.
Die einzelnen Arten sind ausführlich beschrieben (Merkmale, Zeigerwerte, Verbreitung in der Schweiz) und die für die Bestimmung relevanten Merkmale mit Fotos illustriert. Auf ähnliche Arten und Verwechslungsmöglichkeiten wird explizit hingewiesen. Fundorte von seltenen Arten lassen sich via die Ortungsfunktion einfach speichern.
