It does what it says, gives you a full featured way to list tasks and manage them. I particularly like subtasks, by indenting a task below the main one. Also it syncs to gmail, so sweet. So if I'm working on my laptop and an email regarding a project comes in, I can add the new task right from gmail, with notes. Then it's available right from my phone or tablet. Wish for future, a way to unify notes or tasks with Google keep.

Sync doesn't work. I have a new Marshmallow phone (Nexus 5x) with no sim card. The WiFi works and an Internet connection works fine however the app says, "Synchronization failed: please check your internet connection and try again". I love this app and used it all the time on my nexus 6, but have not been able to use it on my new phone.

Well worth it. The app is fast, clean, efficient, and stable. I wish Google Tasks would be given more of a front page treatment by Google, not shoved off to the side of Calendar and Gmail, and this app really helps solve that limitation. Really a great tool. Faster and scales better than ToodleDo.

Hello, just wanted to stop by and give an updated review/feedback. I love this app and it is one of my go-to's on a day-to-day basis. There are, however, a few features that I'd like to see implemented. First, I'd like to have the ability to select/switch between my different task lists, and accounts, from the widget itself. Second, on the widget, I'd like to be able to check/uncheck items without having to go into the edit interface. Finally, I could really use a "duplicate" option when editing/creating a task. There are times where I want to re-create a task I've done before, but have it with a different time/date associated. Hopefully these can make it into your list of priorities. Thanks for a great product!

I've tried other apps but this one fit to my needs better than others. Feature that I like most - ability to submit task in notification bar (without going inside app). Idea for future app improvements - will be great to have ability to switch widget's task-list on fly with some small button near '+'. Great app. Thanks!

I use Google Calendar on my Android phone, computer, iPad. I run a very small web design firm and have been trying out many different Task Managers that might work with Google and actually display tasks right on my Google calendar tasks list. This one does just what I was hoping for. I can add a task on my phone and it shows up on the Google calendar and on Google task list (when I view from my PC and through the Tasks app on my phone). I can add a task on both my computer and on my phone which is important to me! So, thanks for this great App... no problems that I have found. Decided not to mess with my iPad because I don't really use it for this function.

Basically, after using DOZENS of apps, I keep coming back to this one. PROS .... stable syncing .... Easily switch between Multiple accouns .... clean interface. Sharing tasks to other programs is a big plus. Sorts list alphabetically. ---- CONS ---- No repeat task option. When you have two Google accounts, all reminders are thrown together in the notification panel. No priority option. No option to select just the time and skip the reminder.

I liked this app (paid for and been using for a year) but devs seem to have abandoned it (not been updated since Aug 2013). The clean and simple UI is ruined by a serious lack of features, primarily a basic repeat, adjustable (on notification) snooze and custom notification sound. These are VERY basic but essential features for a tasks / to-do app (see others) but devs don't seem bothered now they've got our money. About to jump ship and uninstall :-(

UPDATE Nov 9/2015: app is now able to properly sync. Leaving my review below but changing score to reflect that the problem has been fixed. ***********Long-time user commenting now to hopefully raise awareness with the devs: The app stopped syncing this week - please fix ASAP. This has happened before (only once or twice in past 2 years) and is really annoying. Otherwise works great and is useful for tracking to-do lists while away from my computer. But syncing functionality with google calendar is absolutely necessary. Until then, 1 star

As of late (Probably 10-15-2015) I can no longer sync tasks....it says try back later but has been saying this for a week at least. I uninstalled every trace of the app and re-added the account after re-downloading and installing and even wiping the phone and flashing a new rom clean and nothing makes it work, it's prob. on the server end. I use this daily to take and keep notes and I bought the paid version years ago...please fix. "! Synchronization failed. please check your internet connection and try again" is the error, it's NOT my connection it's on your end........trust me. I haven't changed any settings that should be and even setup a new email to use with it and still no go......

For 5 stars: The one thing that's missing is a success popup when manually syncing tasks. Sometimes (like when WiFi drops out in the middle of syncing), I'm not sure whether it synced successfully or not. Other than that, the app is great. The interface is not over-complicated, yet it has all the features I want in a Google Tasks app.

I really did like this app and used it daily for a couple of years. It was the best app to replace my BlackBerry task app. But it crashed and I can't get to do anything or even get any kind of tech support after two request. I even bought the paid version to see if it would do better but still nothing and no tech support. I had to move to gtask that's not quit as good but it gets the job done. If I could get help with it I would probably go back to it.

Has been the best for me. The widget is great. The app looks great and is not super complicated. Its quick and easy to enter in things that you want to remember, add a date and time and be done. You can also manage multiple lists (or categories) I have my general todo list as well as an upcoming movies list with release dates (because I'm weird like that). Super useful and worth the upgrade to the paid version.

This is everything I've ever wanted Google tasks to be. But I have some questions: 1) Will this app get material design? Please make it happen! And 2) Is there a way you guys could make an exact copy of this app for ChromeOS? Would love to get this on my Chromebook. If you guys could do this I would happily donate through the app!

Been using this app since day one and love it. It suits my needs perfectly and works flawlessly. JUST PLEASE ADD A SEARCH FEATURE! I keep all of my notes in here and often need to go back to review some of them, but there are so many listed that it takes me forever to find them. This application desperately needs the ability to search for particular notes.

Simple and easy-to-use. Has all the important features a task manager needs save a very important one: repeating tasks. I often use these kinds of apps to be able to keep track of everything I need to do, especially things that need to be repeated later down the line that I may not remember. Won't be changing my review until I see this flaw rectified.

I love organizing my tasks, sub-tasks, and sub-sub-tasks with tab function in Google Tasks, and this app blows the competition out of the water for fast and clean replication of my Google Tasks layout that I create on my PC. It almost instantly responds to my PC activity on Google Tasks and perfectly replicates the order and tabbing that I give to my list. It's also a clean and intuitive layout, and the widget is great. Works for me.

Tasks is probably the best way you can check your Google tasks on Android. It's a very simple and straightforward and just gets the job done. My only gripe is that the app could definitely benefit from a redesign. It's current design is based off holo which by this point is quite outdated. This app definitely needs to update to material design!

Love the app...simple, clean design with a good widget. I've stopped using Any.Do for my tasks! The only thing I use from there now is the missed call function. Kudos for being quick with the jelly bean notification update.

I've tried to use many other task list apps that have more features, but I keep coming back to this one for its simplicity and reliability. Editing on a computer is very important to me, as is being able to access my tasks behind content firewalls at my work. The only thing that could make me happier would be advanced recurring tasks in the app, and possibly a simple/clean web app :) Love your work!

I've been using this app for a while now. Really like its simplicity. The only thing that I'd have liked to see changed a bit would be the widget design. If the developer could add more transparency to the widget and maybe a font color choice. Then it would be a 5 star app in my book. Hope it happens.

Synchronizing with Google Tasks, this application works flawlessly and is fantastic for staying on top of things. Thus far, the best application of its type that I have found. I do wonder however, why there is now a "donate" option in the menu, when I have previously purchased this... Clearly the developer has suddenly become a little greedy.

Easy to use, and helps accomplish your tasks. A feature I would love to see is a filter for "today" that shows all lists that have past due or not, plus what is due today. But still be able to toggle between your lists to help you focus on what to do today, or on a specific list. Add this feature & I will give 5 stars.

I've tried a couple different tasks apps but this was by far the easiest to use and sync. Works great with my sol calendar and my Google calendars. Can't think of anything it could improve on... Except when I switched from the free to paid version it reset all of my due times to 6am... That's not awesome.

Clearly the most efficient Google Tasks client if being able to drag items up or down directly from the list is important for you. Feature updates would be nice, though. For long lists: 'add below this item' Yes, it is still true that we can only change the firmware on the US models of the Freestyle keyboards.

I relied on this app for my all of my Tasks, it was awesome and perfect for tracking everything from within Google Tasks too. Although it's just stopped syncing with Google Tasks, now it won't run after reinstalling, won't sync to any account and complains about there being no internet connection. Maybe it's to do with a Google update? Not sure but I'd rather know what's up devs, than start using another Task list. Will update review after fix. Thanks.

I would have given this app 5 stars as I use it daily. However, there is a very annoying bug where I can't move my tasks around on my Note 4 using the given option. When holding to move the task up or down, it simply does not move. Please fix this!

Bought the app awhile ago and worked fantastic. I don't know if its mashmellow but the app now refuses to sync with Google tasks. Even after uninstalling & rebooting, the problem still persists! Please fix cause otherwise the app is 5 *

Update: Sync restored! Old review: Was awesome until very recently, when syncing of tasks broke. Now any changes do not get synced, and manually pressing the sync button does not work either. Sure, a cosmetic update to material theme would be nice, but cloud sync is absolutely essential for this app. One star until sync is fixed.

The app stopped syncing a couple weeks back and despite repeated requests to have it fixed, no single word back from the developer. Paying customers deserves to be treated more better. I've uninstalled tasks and switched to Gtasks and I will not be turning back. Google should have just yanked this app out of Google play store, if the developer just won't commit to giving support to customers.

I've found many celebrated task manager apps to be clunkers. This is elegant, nearly perfect. But PLEASE let us adjust the type size. Need smaller font options. Note how Evernote does it. I want to be able to see more tasks on the screen.

It used to work very nice. Since a couple of months, it crashes when I try to change the date/time. Wrote the developers but no reaction. So, I moved to Google keep which has few nice features like reminder at location, and attaching pictures.

Was great- used many times a day, but seems to have completely stopped working around the time I upgraded to Marshmellow. Tried clearing data and re-installing, now just say "sync failed" without further explanation. Works as a stand-alone task manager, but basically no longer functions for it's primary purpose. Sent email to the development team, got no response.

Used to love it till it stopped syncing on 10/25/15. Bummer cuz I used it all the time!! 11/8/15 Still not syncing. I had to install a different app which is working beautifully. Update 11/11/15: Sync is working again, very thankful!

I stopped using this for awhile and gave it one star when it stopped syncing once I got my Nexus 6P. However, I opened it today to discover that the syncing is working again. Not sure what changed since it still hasn't been updated, but it's back to being my favorite task app again!

All of a sudden it stopped syncing. App hasn't been updated in over a year so I doubt a fix is on the way.

For some reason, it has stopped syncing with my google account in my Samsung Galaxy s4 phone. I receive the message to check my internet connection which is properly working. However, it does synchronize my tasks with my Samsung tablet and the same google account.

Big problem: It has suddenly stopped syncing (on Oct 23rd). I can't use it any more because of this. Help!

Read this was a good application. Jumped to the "purchase option" instead if the "trial." Doesn't sync my business or personal tasks. I will leave installed in hopes that a fix is in the works.
