SBB Mobile for Android
Very nicely designed app. Too bad the ticket buying function is extremely unstable and doesn't work about 1 in 3 times. Arrive 10 minutes early if you're buying tickets with the app because often it won't let you buy tickets ("no connection offers available" or "too many requests") and you're stuck either with no ticket or hoping the person ahead of you will be fast buying a ticket from the machine.
New update - makes app useless. Can't add payment method, so couldn't by ticket for bus. If you are going to force the Swiss Pass login onto the app, at least make sure we can pay for tickets. Also - don't bother using if train/bus is slightly late. Can't buy tickets at or after departure time. So choice is miss train or risk a fine. Stupidity from SBB - not letting you purchase a valid ticket.
This is no longer usable. The Swiss Pass transition has not only made the ticket purchase button unstable, worse, I can't get Super Saver tickets anymore on any train, whatever time or day (despite the "%" icon). I can see the same trains avaliable online with Super Saver available. Doesn't matter how slick it looks when it doesn't work.
A total disaster - it is the only way to buy paperles tickets and 101 reasons to not let you buy a ticket. The only way I feel secure using the app is buy a ticket hours in advance, take my login details written down with me, and leave the app with the ticket open when I get on the train. If I can't show a valid ticket on the spot, its a 100 CHF fine. Only way to be sure is to buy a paper ticket.
terribile app. with the new Swiss pass the app pretend to open chrome to login, after you enter your user and pass you are still not logged in in the app (only on chrome web). please correct this issue as at the moment is useless. in addition you CANNOT view your tickets ( no login) SWISSPASS? AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Is this the best that SBB mobile IT development can make?!! disappointed :(
Would be pretty good, if it would work. I dont like using an app that I need to restart 3 times over to use it jus because it crashes after you enter your search. I think Im going to stick with Google Maps.
Impossible to login with SwissPass, otherwise it's quite efficient but I miss the possibility to get notifications of event on a connection (delay, platform change...) I can only get the reminder before the train leave but if it's on time I don't need it. Also if you could allow to change the language from our phone language it would be great.
I am unable add payment method with the new update of swisspass login. Always throws an error. The app has become unusable to buy tickets because of this. Updated according to below comment and still face the same issue Update: thanks for the prompt response SBB. Issue is resolved
Beautiful user interface. But this is where it ends unfortunately. The most important part of the app, ticket purchasing has become so unstable, that regularly I need to reach for the traditional vending machine in the train station instead. SBB: I suggest you pull this App from the store or officially declare it as Beta version until you can deliver a stable transaction experience. Thanks.
It was good before the update. But with swisspass login it has really really worsened - in that I am unable to purchase ticket. Even in cases when it works the login process is very very slow because the logging in necessitates opening a swisspass.ch browser. Please fix the bug immediately or move back to the older version
The app used to be excellent but recent updates have made it useless. Sometimes it won't allow you to buy tickets, almost got fined in a control as it either throws errors or hangs. You also have to buy a ticket ages in advance. I made it to the station for an earlier delayed connection and couldn't get a ticket for it. I hope they fix it quickly and make it as good as it once was again
This app used to be great but since the latest update it's completely useless. Can't buy any ticket despite being logged in to Swiss Pass and payment method is up-to-date. Won't allow purchase of tickets for late connections so only options are to miss connection and wait 30 mins in the freezing cold for the next one or get on and risk being fined. It's also very inconsistent in which train connections it shows. Will show the S6 connection from my local station once I put in a bus stop as the starting point but if I search with the train station as the starting point the S6 connection doesn't show up so I can't purchase a ticket for it. All these issues have been going on for weeks and really should have been resolved by now. Expected much much more from SBB.
Process to buy tickets is too complicated and sometimes does not even allow the purchase of the desired ticket. For example when the app does not correctly determine the device location, it's not possible to buy local tickets. If the location is correctly determined, it does not propose the cheapest option.
App was just fine until the update, using Swisspass. Fingerprint ticket purchase no longer works. I cant by a ticket for a train when it got delayed etc etc. It become simply useless. Fix forward pls immediately or roll back. Update: adding paymend method is back on +1 star. Killer feauture to me still is the non purchase option 2 min before the bus arrives. Either I by the ticket 3 min in advance or I am on the train without a ticket. At the moment it is more often the latter
Unstable at best. The payment issues have been getting worse, either deleting my information or just not making payments. This app is very pretty looking but near useless for anything practical. Either put the effort in and fix it or drop it.
Was one of the best travel apps, and one of the best companies on the planet. They decided to become the worst, rip off their customers and misuse their monopoly. Pull down to see earlier connections does not work anymore, when bus/train/tram comes late the app does not allow to buy a ticket anymorr, cannot purchase a ticket just for some zones, at the moment I just get "apologies" and "does not work" messages, kicked my login details to force me signing up for the new one and I can't even NFC my SwissPass. Worst service, worst app, worst company, worst GTC, just bad. But it's clear, high level representatives are part of the tax fraud in Paradise papers and the CEO just gives a s**** on customers as the make more money with cargo - well, cargo does not cry for service and timely connections. Will not pay further until this is resolved fully!
Wow!!! Just WOW! WHAT A TRAIN WRECK. If this is the best you can do you should sack the whole app dev team, starting with the boss because that knob jockey signed this rubbish off as finished. •DOB entry is unusable. Tapping the screen several hundred times to get back to my birth year. •activation code sent by email but with no link to get back to the point to enter it. Take it off the app store until you've built a usable product! All I wanted to do was buy a ticket as your ticket automat doesn't take notes at Kalkbreite. (Also a laughing point)
Since a couple of weeks, my tickets purchased with my swisspass account are no longer synchronised in the mobile app, quite inconvenient. Otherwise the app is very practical and gives accurate and fast information, especially good when there are disturbances.
Well designed and intuitive frontend but the backend of this app is totally unstable. Ticket purchases often fail with error codes like "connection to offers failed", which is a disaster for when you are in a hurry.
favorite tickets can't be saved. I feel cheated that even though I have half fare card, I have toi choose again
App are made to make life easier. This one makes using public transport a pain in the ass
Constant error messages. Really difficult to buy tickets now. The older versions were much better!!
New update adds monthly invoice payments. How cool! It also kills my touch table settings, my swisspass login, my half-fare card status, my starred stations, my quick payment settings. It would be so nice if developer could stop touching their app for some time so I could use the not-stripped-yet functions without configuring everything over and over.
Never use it! It'll forget your credit card data, you have to login twice and afterwards they tell you that you cannot buy a connection that is in the past. Then you get a 100 CHF fine. Again, NEVER USE THIS APP TO BUY TICKETS!!!
Unstable on S7 Edge and S8+ too. Cannot buy international tickets via app, only on desktop, while you at the end still need to go to the HB to take it. Update: payment doesn't work (at all for me), existing travel cards cannot be deducted when buying ticket from counter.
One of the newest updates makes the app pretty annoying to deal with. I arrive one or two minutes before the bus does and then want to buy a ticket. I happened quote often that the purchase processing takes so long that you end up with a message that you can't buy tickets for the selected connection, even though the bus had not arrived yet. I understand the intention of trying to avoid people buying tickets only if they are being controlled. But one should probably add a gracing period. Can I buy a ticket for a delayed train? Probably not. You should not about the customers who actually want to pay just to "catch" the ones who don't. That sends, at least in my opinion, the wrong signals.
Impossible to buy tickets, impossible to even log in now. Missed my train because I couldn't buy the ticket on time. Total disaster!!!!
Although I almost got fined because of the SwissPass login and the complete commercial incompetence/lack of flexibility of some controllers ("no I'm sorry, no ticket I must fine you") it now works... One of the most convenient features in the past was the ability to jump on any train/tram and buy your ticket on the spot. Now the app blocks instant purchases unless these are done in advance. What a shame. Please re-enable the feature which allows us to purchase the ticket for the ride we are on (as opposed to the next one), it's unnecessary to stress about whether the controller will be understanding.
Schon wieder meine payment methods verloren! Und das aufdringliche mehrfache Nachfragen ob man die Werbung vielleicht doch will nervt auch. SBB wird immer weniger sympathisch mit solchem Verhalten. Schade!
Ihr VOLLIDIOTEN verunmöglicht es mittlerweile ein Billett per App zu kaufen, wie schwer wollt ihr es euren Kunden eigentlich NOCH machen!? Eure App ist scheisse, eure Updates sind scheisse, euer System ist scheisse, aber aus irgendeinem Grund steigen die Billettpreise immer weiter und weiter. Genial, echt genial.
Keep getting error TUE-400 when tryin to buy tickets. Absolutely useless. Made me miss lots of trains...
Erst seit dem Update nicht mehr zufrieden. - Entfernung der Payment Methoden ohne Vorwarnung. - Entfernung der Extensions Ticket Methode (beste Funktion der App) bis Januar? Ich nehme an das ab diesem Zeitpunkt die Liberozonen über den swisspass zur Verfügung stehen. Das die Funktion aber schon jetzt entfernt wurde, verstehe ich nicht.
New update and the payment method is lost and had to enter it again. Even worse it is now impossible to buy regular half-fare ticket for Geneva but only the 2-zones one which is more expensive! This basically makes the app useless.
Missed my train today because ticket function did not work despite restarting the app several times. The train officer I asked outside the train told me he would only sell me a ticket with 10.- extra cost! So I had to buy the ticket at the train station and wait for 30 minutes for the next train.
Used to like it. But in recent weeks I've kept on getting errors, which has rendered it redundant and useless. Seems like a boat load of money down the drain by SBB/CFF. Can't even buy a ticket 90% of the time.
App is buggy with random errors. The inability to buy tickets for a delayed train a couple of minutes after scheduled departure is ridiculous (not possible to buy ticket in the past).
It works well except that it doesnt save your regular trips, although it asks you if you want to save it this way. Would it be possible to fix that? I take trains every day and I should look for the trip every time
Die app war ok und funktional zu beginn... mit jedem update gehts weiter berg ab. Form follows function gilt wohl nicht für die sbb... Schade... ich kauf mir wieder tickets am schalter.
The update messed up everything ... I can not buy ticket any more even though I have a swisspass card ..The app used to be great ...the update has turned the app into an useless timetable .. please either change the app or remove it entirely as the Google maps can also provide a timetable with more options!

For example when you buy a 60 minute ticket in zone 10 it is 2CHF with 1/2 fare. The same tickets since the SBB app update some day ago it is suddenly 2,40 CHF. The ticket is though valid for 2 hours, but I cannot reduce it to a one hour ticket. And the 2 hour fare doesn't exist in the tpg offer. Thanks in advance for providing those same prices
