Catch a Car is the first free floating carsharing in Switzerland. Register on www.catch-a-car.ch.
As a member you can locate Catch-Cars by app and drive from A to B. The Catch-Cars can be parked for free inside of the Catch-Car-Zone on all public authorised parking spaces. Payment is per minute.
You can keep the car reserved for the parking rate.
The app has he following features:
- Locate Catch-Cars in realtime
- Choose car and reserve it up to 8 hours in advance
- Navigation to the nearest Catch-Car
- Spontaneous reservation by scanning the QR code at the Checkpoint of the Catch-Car
- Overview of the Catch-Car-Zone

I was an early follower as I like the concept. I waited for some time to see how it works in practice. This app when it works is good. However it never works at Basel airport which is a recurring annoyance certainly if you are in the rain. Also the QR reader has difficulty reading the code with low light. Service centre works okayish depending on the person at the other side. So work to be done and the 3 stars are max for the moment

Dear Devs, why do you zoom out on the map by default, I don't want to catchacar 300km away, just zoom in to where I am!
