About Swiss Phone Book
local.ch is the official phone book app for Switzerland.
The local.ch phonebook application helps you find private and business phone numbers and addresses in Switzerland.
It identifies your location and allows you to search in your immediate surroundings. For example you can find your way to the closest restaurant, chemist or petrol station.
To give the best possible experience we use permissions which let you make phone calls, manage your contacts, check your call history and see who is calling you. In no way we do anything malicious. Network communication:
We need internet connectivity. Without it the app would not work.
Services that cost you money:
If you are starting phone calls from within our app, you must pay your usual communication fees. One might call this the second most important permission of our app, after network connectivity. Without this permission, it would not be possible to directly make phone calls from an entry within the app.
Your location:
We need to know your location so that you can search around yourself. Without this permission we would not be able to tell you where is the closest business you may be interested in.
Your personal information and your account:
This is needed for you to add and merge entries to you address book's account of choice, and for looking up entries that are already stored in your address book. Without this we would not be able to do that.
Phone calls:
This gives our Android users a unique feature, which is to tell them who is calling when there is an incoming phone call from an unknown number (a number which is not stored on your address book).

Everything is great but although the app request access to your location, suggestions come up for very distant places first and then ones near by. Otherwise still loving the functionality, offers and especially the favorites option.

Very useful to block marketing calls, although could be better integrated. It would be nice for it to also do a reverse search on all numbers not in one's contact, not just marketing call centers

I liked it better before the big update. It doesn't block telemarketing calls anymore and requires permissions to control "do not disturb" settings. It also doesn't show who's calling and the app isn't compatible with SIP. Uninstalled.

Sous Android 6 stock, ajouter un contact professionnel ne mets pas les données au bon endroit. Search.ch ne souffre pas de ce défaut. Dingue qu'aucune des 2 apps n'integre les correctifs de l'autre alors que c le même proprio. Et il s'agit de fonctions de base sur les softs de cette catégorie

It was just remarkable! The two of us were absolutely hungry. I was staring my phone when I noticed that I had the local.ch app. The usability of the new version was 100% better, and the recommendations just awesome. You MUST be crazy not to use it in Switzerland. Tell all your friends. The chance that you find what you search are very high.

The app does what i expect it to do. You find virtually any address you're looking for, thanks to an enormeous database the app is linked to...(Is that Directories ?...)- You won't find mobile numbers though, as not saved in the same database ... - All in all a solid and useful app.
