Vanilla Music for Android
Thank you for the "pitch black" theme.
Nice player ????
Really really superbbbbbbbb
One of the best around... Even better now with the AMOLED theme
Awsm offline
Love it!
Works great for what I use it for, which is... Listening to music. I like the fact I don't need to reboot my device for the all to recognize when I have new music in my library. Though, I am unable to find the option that displays the bitrate of the individual songs as is shown on the screenshots.
App has become buggy. Doesn't recognize certain files which all other players have no problem with. Incorrectly reads some tags.....
It use to be able to play all format's. Now it can't play .wma files so over a thousand of my songs don't work.
A lot of features. Really like the app. Amoled theme looks dope. ????
I love this app! Previously used foobar2000, but I like Vanilla Music better. It supports ReplayGain and sorting by Album Artist, and the interface is nice.
simple and fast, it's pretty nice open source app. but if it supports Google Cast, it's amazingly nice!
Please add timer or sleep feature
Perfect app
Vanilla music player is best for those who just like to listen their music on a player with clean interface. It allows to browse music by genre, artist , album, folderwise etc. Vanilla player need to add setting to exclude certain folder of songs from appearing in the music library. Also id3 tag editor is missing.
Super clean interface, shuffle works as expected. Random mode works well but setup is not entirely clear. Found it in Carbon and liked it so much I installed it on my new Moto running OEM retail Android 7.1.
One of the only android music players (other is XenoAmp) to correctly handle multi genre tags and album artists, after you enable the "build-in" tag reader. I like playing randomly by genre and the ability to use lastFM genre tags to search for music is what i was looking for and Vanilla Music makes this possible. Opus file-format and tags are also supported, which was the other feature i was looking for. I also like the idea of plugins for features, so the core stays bloat-free and simple.
Has folder view, UI customization, equalizer. Does not hide features behind a pay wall. It's an open source project. A perfect example of a project to be supported by both recommending it and helping however we can to developer. Thank you for making this player, friend. You're awesome.
Glad to see an update to this fine, open source music player. I look forward to its continued development.
Replaced Poweramp with this. Love it!
Simply the best in class
Good
Loved it ... Purest form of Music Player. No extra ( Useless functions ) , Simple, fast , Fluid & Lightweight. NO adds + FREE Thanks!!! adrian.ulrich
Very nice capabilities and looks great too. it just didn't have the ability to edit tags as far as I could tell.
Wow, such an intuitive app. Basically DIY Spotify with your own MP3s, sans the machine learning. Everytime I delve deeper into the menus in Vanila Music, I think "that's just what I was hoping for! They implemented it just as I would have!"
Just downloaded, seems perfect. Only one question... is there any way to get cover art images to appear in the Artists list? Rather than "Jo" for Joni Mitchell, actually have the first album art cover appear?
It works, it's open source, it's minimal. What else do you need from a music player?
Close to perfect, the only thing missing is an amoled theme.
Simply the best music app. Period.
So much features and a nice layout.
Simple, open source, and very configurable.
Best features. Lightweight.
Simple, fast, featurefull, no bullsh!t player. Appreciate the hard work by devs. Cheers!
Great
Very good music player. Feature request: ability to set custom fade/delay between two songs And import/export playlists, because I lost my playlists when reinstalled Android OS.
Simple and very good music player. Cheers to makeing it Open source. Well done, ( when I installed first time add to playlist didn't work from file menu. But after a full scan, all working fine. Well done and thanks
It was good until last update. It now doesn't show the song on the lock screen widget. Just says "Vanilla Music"
Long press on a folder, click play and the songs in the folder don't play.
Can't add .mka files to playlists!
