Timely Alarm Clock

I tried this because I was using the Google Clock app, but grew concerned since it kept missing alarms. So I came into this looking for reliability as my number one concern. Timely Alarm Clock has so far not only satisfied my expectations, but exceeded them. The app works really well and has a really well-thought out alarm even for silent vibrating alarms, which I use a lot. The design is beautiful, even if it makes the app slightly more difficult to use for alarm entry. Still, five stars.

I love this alarm clock; beautiful interface, beautiful sounds. However, since updating my phone to lollipop, I've found that the alarm will not go off whole my phone is on silent/vibrate. I don't want to use any other alarm clock, because the one you have developed is amazing. Please fix the sound issue. Once this issue is resolved, it's an easy 5 star app. Only reason I'm rating 3 stars is because I didn't know about the sound issue and it made me late to work. :(

Easy to set, lots of wonderful song choices (you can even add your own), I don't think there is a limit to how many alarms you can set. I keep my life on schedule with this alarm. I set one to get up, one eat lunch, son nap, pick up daughter from school, start dinner, kids to bed... I love it because I know what time it is always by the music playing. The best thing, no adds. I hate adds and have rejected several alarm apps because of it. Oh by the way, you get a stopwatch and timer too.

The app looks nice and functions well. Too well, in fact, it totally drains my battery. If I set an alarm at night when I travel, my battery is totally drained by morning and that's with just the alarm set, and no clock face showing. If you leave the clock face showing, it'll drain your battery in less than two hours. Why does is drain the battery so much? My phone is brand new, so I know that's not the problem!

It's obvious this app is a labour of love for the developers. Intuitive UI that is also beautiful to look at. It has every function I need in an alarm clock / stopwatch app. You can even choose your default alarm sounds, so you don't have to keep switching to your favourite sound whenever you create a new alarm (which I find really irritating). Well done Bitspin! 10 stars!

Hey devs nice work! good themes and in-build sounds. Nice and quick making new alarms. Only thing I would change or make an option for is the alarm tab, with a lot of alarms there is less overview. The height of each alarm could be shorter for a better overview but that's the only thing. I hope you guys will keep it nice and sleek and ads free, thanks for the app!!

Many reviews pointed out what a beautiful looking app is it. OK with that! Just simple and beautiful won't make the Oh so perfect alarm that ratings indicate. This is an ALARM CLOCK and it dies not offer many options for that purpose. Challenges are.SO easy, like snoozing . You want a friendly alarm for waking up happy or maybe as a reminder tool? this will do. A REAL alarm that will prevent you from oversleeping? This WON'T. It could be, but lacks options. And hasn't been updated for a year...

I love this alarm clock! First off it is so beautiful and you can customize all the colors. There is an alarm clock screen, swipe right to just a regular pretty clock screen, and then swipe right again to a timer or countdown screen. Literally the only thing I would change is making it a little bit easier to adjust the time for your alarm. This one you have to type in the numbers hit a.m. and then enter, others you can just kind of scroll up or down. But it is not enough of an inconvenience that I don't think this is the best alarm clock ever! Definitely download this.

I enjoy the fact that there are challenges, but wish they were a little more challenging. I also like the 3 different clocks in 1. The one problem I can't seem to fix or find anywhere online is the flip-to-snooze function. I've tested it a bunch of times and I can't get my phone to snooze when I flip it; the alarm just keeps blaring. Can someone help?

Amazing app, the only thing I dislike (or would rather see changed) is either the alarm volume or the fade in option. I need and want something loud to get me up and on my feet in the morning. This is the most beautiful alarm app I've used. I will use it either way. Just at least consider one of those two changes. -Jayson

I like this app and have used it for a while; however the one thing I wish it did was adjust with a time zone change. For some reason it keeps the time zone that I left and doesn't update to the time zone I enter, so I have to adjust the alarm every time I travel. I'm truly considering a new app that doesn't have this problem, because it can cause me to be late or early depending on my trip if I don't change it before I go to sleep.

Awesome app, no complaints, but I have a suggestion! Presets for groups of alarms would be awesome. For example a work day for mornings will have like 3 alarms, wake up, get out of bed now!, and leave. Since each day is different and I don't want a HUGE list of alarms having presets I can use would be amazing. (team 6 alarms to wake up! Lol)

Loved it for many months... until it started acting up -- Smart Rise feature was great until I upgraded from Android 5 to 6, then the pre-alarm would be too soft or change tune or become the main alarm. But I like this app enough that I've uninstalled and reinstalled it now to see if that will fix these minor annoyances. -- UPDATE -- reinstallation did not help. Alarm only works correctly if plugged in and charging. I do not recommend this alarm anymore -- lots of unfixed bugs!

First of all, it took me a long time to find the place where one can change the alarm sound. This is not explained in the FAQ. One cannot change the alarm sound from the setting screen. You have to create an alarm then tap that. I wasn't looking for a custom, self-defined, sound, just for an alarm that would wake me up. None of the offerings are buzzers or beeps, all too soothing. E.g. I'm on a noisy train. Timely is pretty and soothing, but often failed to wake me up. I downloaded another alarm clock.

Customizable, easy to use, and lovely to look at. Does absolutely everything I need it to do, especially love the selection of alarms, and greatly prefer it to the stock Android clock app. Have zero issues whatsoever. *just scrolled through past reviews, have not experienced any of the problems listed by other reviewers (using GS6 Marshmallow 6.0.1)*

This app is simply amazing to look at. It's been designed in a way that no matter what screen you're on it's always simple yet elegant. I don't need many bells and whistles in a time keeping app, so a pretty and functional one like this is more than I'll ever really need anyway. Probably not for people who need lots of special settings, but for the average person this thing has enough to keep me happy and on time (And my dinner not charred black...). :)

Recently the snooze became unresponsive from the lock screen, and the only way to turn it off is to enter the phone itself and hit the snooze from the pull-down menu on the top. I at first thought it was the phone. I had a google nexus 4 then just bought a new Samsung Galaxy 6 edge, and it still did the same thing on the new phone. Loved this app for the 9 minute snooze with unlimited hits, but I'll have to find another now.

Not only is the app a beautiful encased in colour, but each movement is well thought out. Easily setup, when tired. But with little effort you can now pick music to wake up to... The chosen track will repeat till you switch it off. Each of my 3 alarms has separate tracks, and they sound great. This time App is to good not to have.

I can't set a custom mp3 as my alarm tone. Best clock app out there, though. Graphics are amazing. The smart rise function is really nice, and works well. EDIT So I put this review up here, and 4 days later they add the custom sounds function. Thanks dev!

I look for a few simple things in my alarm app. This one covers almost all of them. I can preset my alarm for specific days and leave it turned on. I love configuring my alarm to slowly increase volume, and limit the max volume. I can usually catch my alarm before it wakes my wife. BUT, I hate having an alarm icon in my notification bar. If the developer added the ability to turn the icon off, five stars.

Have used for over a year, and this is definitely my favorite alarm clock. The syncing function works pretty well if both devices have a good internet connection. The selection of alarm sounds is really good (31, I think), with many original, highly abstract, and non-jarring tones. I recently noticed that they added a function to import sounds, but I have not tried to do so yet since I am quite happy with the existing tones. Highly recommended.

I have searched and searched for a great alarm clock app and found Timely to be the best... however there are a few things I wish would change. First is the ability to force night mode during a certain time frame (i.e. 9pm to 7am). Second and really more important is the ability to scale the clock. I am using a 10" tablet and the clock itself is the same size as on my 5" phone. If these were implemented, I would easily give this 5 stars.

The alarm options are very basic. I wish it had an option for max number of snoozes. The math questions were so easy I can answer them in my sleep. Multiple choice made it so I could just estimate quickly and select the answer that looked closest. Also hard to tell difference between subtraction and multiplication size with small font. Other than that, seems to work as intended, lots of pretty color options.

I was always looking for a better way to wake up. I used to try different alarm clock apps pretty regularly. But I found Timely a short time before Google bought the company and have used it ever since. As someone who used to try out different ROMS regularly, it was great because you could sync your alarms over all of your devices. I love the choices in sounds and vibration. I like the way it starts by turning up the screen and slowly brings up the sound. I enjoy the customization. I even use the stop watch and timer regularly. I've given up on any other clock/watch apps.

I've been through several alarm clock apps that just didn't perform well or didn't have the features that I was looking for. I am glad I found this one! It is perfect. It works and looks amazing. The features that it has are well thought out and work flawlessly. I like the fact that it has a large snooze button and in order to turn the alarm off you have to swipe in a certain area. In addition to that you can have it ask you a simple problem to answer before the alarm will turn off. I love it.

I love this app! I love the sounds it comes with, so much so that I don't even need to add my own music (but I could). I love the colour themes and how I can choose my own colours (wish I could change the pattern though). I like the way you set the alarms too, it's refreshing! But the thing I love most about this app is how you can add a challenge before it'll let you snooze or dismiss the alarm! Brilliant! Although the widget is kinda plain... hope this changes in the next update! Thanks!

The update was supposed to allow the ability to reuse alarms? I'm using a nexus 6, running Android 5.0.2 and it still adds a new alarm every time I say "set alarm 7am", resulting in lots of occurrences after a few days. If left unattended, I will have hundreds of alarms and the only way to clear them is 1 by 1. Please provide an ability to either clear all alarms or fix the ability to reuse alarms.

The user interface is both beautiful and functional. The widget, too, is all I could ask for. However, one important feature is reliability. And, at least on my LG G4, I cannot rely upon the timer. Or, I should say, if I set the timer, then put the phone down on its face, the timer will run down but the audible alarm will not sound. A silent alarm, when the phone is not set to a silent or vibrate only profile, is of limited use. Ensure the basic functions work flawlessly, before adding additional features.

The app features are great and worked perfectly. But lately the alarm seems to fail every other day. If I set it to 10:30, it won't wake up until I unlock the phone. Since other people have reported the same, I'm sure this is just some bug that needs to be fixed. When this issue is resolved, I will be glad to give you 5 stars.

Love, love, love this app. I use it several times a day. Givin' it five stars because it's always worked perfectly. However, since I got my Galaxy S6 Edge, I cannot hit snooze or disable from the lock screen. I have to unlock, go to home screen, go to Timely app, and turn the alarm off, which means I can't even use "Snooze". Not positive, but I'm thinkin' it's a Timely bug, because everything else seems to work fine from the lock screen. Look forward to a fix. Thanks a bunch!

I first used this app while traveling. I had to wake up alone in a windowless room to catch a train. That day turned out to be one of the best days ever, a turning point in my life, and now whenever this alarm goes off I am infused with positive feelings. Now I know that seems to have little to do with the app so I will also express my appreciation for the simple and effective design, and the reliability of the program. I have not had a "go to" alarm like this one for years. But that harp lick...magic!

The graphics are beautiful and calming. Very easy to use. The home screen clock is very subtle. I use the timer for meditation daily and the stopwatch as well. I can not say enough about how wonderful the alarms are. There is a setting to help you wake up slowly out of your REM sleep. The alarms can also be set to slowly excel in volume. As for the different alarms there are many to choose from that are very soothing to wake up to. Oh yes, the night mode clock. Love it!!! This is by far my favorite app.

I have use this app almost 2 years... Every time I Flash a new Stock ROM or custom ROM, this app always in my priority list because I use it every day, 5 time a day to keep track the prayer time...I have 3 android device, all of my device will sync beautifully... If can, only one I wish is every alarm we set we can rename it. It will make this alarm more complete... I have try a few alarm app, after a few time I will come back to this alarm... Thank you Dev for the nice app!...

I have a suggestion. I often create several alarms for the same wakeup period (in addition to several snoozes). My days vary often because I pickup shifts or have appointments. I would be so greatful if you could somehow work out a Group or Set of alarms option. That way I could turn on or off a set of alarms whenever I need them. Great app otherwise. I don't think I could survive without this thing! Thank you for making it.

Super late update: Timely added the one feature I felt it was missing, and they did it ages ago. Changing my review to five stars now! Original follows: Was surprised to find that external sounds are not supported for alarms... Would love to see it become a feature down the road. Otherwise, glad to go pro. If for no other reason, the addition of the next alarm to my homescreen clock widget is worth it.

This had sooooo much potential. The BEST POSSIBLE clock app - all the basics (customizable alarm/timer sounds, stopwatch, progressive alarm sounds), AND it had color customization that was completely UNIQUE and limitless. But Google bought the company that made it, and... didn't follow up very substantially AT ALL. PLEASE continue developing such a PERFECT clock app. I will not be using the Google clock app while I know this exists. EVER.

Loved it until I didn't wake this morning. Couldn't turn to snooze the first alarm and then main alarm didn't go off. Thought point was to wake me slowly and gently, not drive me mad 30 mins before I'm meant to get up then the actual alarm not work. Thankfully my daughter woke me! And last week no matter what I did to screen on my phone it was not going to snooze! Please fox add it WAS best alarm.

Timely is a great app, especially now that it syncs with all my devices, and is a great simple time display as well. My only problem is that I cannot remove the snooze. In my case, when the alarm starts, I jump out of the bed and start my day. However, if I by accident I snooze instead of turning it off, it will restart few minutes later, waking up my wife who sleeps later. I would like to have the option of NO snooze in the different duration options. Otherwise, I would give this app a five star. If I could give it a 4.5 stars, I would right away.

Timely has the expected features, but what makes it great is its design. It has flawless transitions, good color options and beautiful alarms. Unfortunately, that doesn't make it easy to get up to. Thank you for adding the ability to choose one's own music, but it doesn't work for anything not in the music folder, which I includes ALL MUSIC FROM GOOGLE. It can always use new features, but thanks anyways.
