ELP VR camera for Android
App is not working on Android 7.1 and needs to be updated. It shuts down on start-up. Worked perfectly before android update. Waited to leave review but it seems no one here is listening to feedback. At the moment my 3d accessory sold with his app as part of the package is a brick!
I see some bad reviews here, saying the app does not work. Perhaps it is not clear that this app only works with the ELP VR 3D camera. Actually, the app works quite well on my Samsung Note 4 (Lollipop, 5.1.1), with the ELP camera USB plugged into an OTG adapter. You must give permission to allow the app to access the USB device (popup dialog). Then it runs smoothly and produces clear, sharp video, which appears to be HiDef. Hardware in camera is very efficient, drawing only 250ma, with no glitches or delays. Saves videos as .mp4 files in a DCIM folder. I give 4 stars, because there is no capability to take still 3d pictures. Also there is a fair amount of 'barrel distortion', maybe because it is trying to produce a super wide-angle view. Overall this is a very nice app, with great potential for VR and 3D photography. Update: I said that the video output appeared to be HD, because it looked clear and sharp on my phone. But viewing the .mp4 file on a large-screen TV I could see 'jaggies', suggesting that the true resolution is VGA, not HD, for each image in the 3d file. But still good for VR headsets using cell-phones.
Crash on start @ Android 7.1
Does not work with Moto Z play Android 7.1.1. But it does work on my Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.1
Fail! Does not detect camera!

The problem with this app is pretty simple... It doesn't work. Whatever is going on, the latest version of Android does not allow this app to work and it is therefore useless. The developers need to keep up with system updates so that these cameras work because it seems like a really cool device.
