Rescan SD Media Card

It worked, even showed progress as the SD card was rescanned. The ads are a bit intrusive; audio and full screen video, but you can skip them and I don't need the app very often so it's fine.

Exactly what I need! The real media scanner trigger to refresh android files for showing on my computer.

Great app. Forces file system rescan so that the phone sees the newly added files without having to restart.

Disconnect the USB, scan, reconnect the USB, now you can see your files on your PC. What else ?

I downloaded it to get back my corrupted files that were VERY important to me! Instead it deleted them all and Now I can NEVER get them back! I HATE THIS APP SOOOO MUCH!!! Don't download it unless you want to lose you're important files!

This worked great and fixed my problem. The only issue I have with it is that I had to manually enter "/storage/extSdCard/" as the directory, since I could browse to my external SD card.

This doesn't seem to be all that different from several other media-rescanners out there. It appears to scan the files in directories containing a ".nomedia" file. That's a problem if you have apps with their own media [and the app lets you offload its data to the sdcard]. Unfortunately, its ads can get obtrusive at times. Having ads isn't an issue, in my book. Annoying, obtrusive ones are.

I had not been able to see files stored on my SD Card on a Galaxy S5. This program was able to get the ansroid system to recognize the card's contents and report it through the music apps, etc. The only thing I would change is to either provide a list of common sd card mounting locations, or if you're daring, include a way to browse for it. This certainly gets the job done, if you know you have to provide linux the right mounting point in the file system. Thank you.
