YRT/Viva for Android
Although this application seems to provide transit times and directions with ease, regular use of this app reveals that the 'realtime' tracking of the busses is quite innacurate. The times listed in the bus schedules also differ between 5 and 20 minutes, so if you really need to get somewhere, this app is not a reliable choice.
it stopped working after a week... the app totally sucks
It wont accept anybif the 5 cards i tried. Maybe next time dont get rid of a payment method before propperly testing the new one especially on a holiday when people would need to use the transit!
Time is not accurate at all! One morning it said "Unable to get a stops" so I couldn't use it at the most important moment, when you can use other tools to plan your trip! Very disappointed!!!
Horrible. The times are never accurate. I either get to the stop with 5 minutes to spare and it's already passed, or it takes 10 minutes for the bus to actually come. Completely useless.
The times aren't accurate at all. It'll say the bus I'm waiting says its going to be there in 10 minutes. 1 minute goes by and says the bus has passed, giving me an option for the next bus 40 minutes away.
Times are not accurate at all, I always end up missing my bus. Absolutely awful app.
Very un-accurate with the stops and lack of features
This app sucks to the core. When the bus is late, it always reports early.
The app has been fairly accurate and a very useful tool for any commuter.
No RT info
Yrt schedule is on time
This is a quick and easy to use app, but there are quite a few issues that I have with it. It can't get real-time updates for TTC routes (129a, 102d), it can only display the next 3 stop times and it crashes a bit often. An offline mode that only has scheduled times (no real-time updates) would also be nice for people who are low on/don't have cell data. I really do like this app, but it could be better.
Says bus is coming in 7 min. I take my time walking and the bus comes 1min later. The bus came 6 min earlier than expected. So i missed my bus. This happens too often to be an accident.
Simple to use, real life time saver ! recommended for all people who aren't brain dead
This app needs an active Internet connection to obtain static data, if you have that it'd be better to just use Maps which has real time updates. If not, there are plenty of route maps and schedules at most major stops. Save your hard drive space. 1/10 Would crash again.
Haven't rode the YRT for around two years so this is all new for me. Used it on my Note 7 to find some arrival times and it even showed the delays. While it won't make the bus arrive any faster (when they're behind), now you can find out just how far it is. I wish the trip planner is not a hotlink, but that's probably a feature that will need further development. Otherwise, good app.
So far my experience switching from IOS has been pretty disappointing. Specifically regarding this app, I have to say that the version I was using on my iPhone worked pretty well, barring the odd failure to load buss locations. So, when I downloaded this app again for my android device, I was disapointed to learn that it's a total mess! The first big problem is the constant crashing. About 30% of the time I try to use the app it crashes, and the GPS locator always goes to the wrong location.
this app glitches half the time it boots me out or says there's no data for certain stops and won't let me open that stop. defiantly needs to have a tech group look at it and fix it's flaws
the app was not well designed from a use perspective. you can't even find an route time for future days or the complete schedule. app needs a lot of work.
The arrival time is very useful. And it is easy to look up the stop on the map. I like it.
Samsung Galaxy S6 I need to rely on this app for my daily commute and yet it always lets me down! It crashes almost every single time when I try to see the arrive times for my bus!! This app needs a favorites page for daily commuters so we can see at a glance when our Favorited bus is going to arrive at our favorited bus stop. Most TTC apps have this feature why don"t you?! Right now I have to go through so many steps to find the bus I want and my app keeps crashing before I see the time!!!! I am so frustrated!! I would uninstall this app if I didn't need it so much.
What's the point of an app if it redirects you to the website for route planning? Put the schedules back up so that I can pull up bus times. Keep the real time function.
User unfriendly app. Does not have offline access to schedule. Strange UI design. Why it tries to show me the map every time? How I can use favorite stops? Why it switches to YRT website for trip planner? Please implement simple trip planner in the app.
A very buggy app from a very terrible transit company. The York region transit can't do anything right can they?
Consistently crashes when I try to look up specific stops, but consistently fine on others. Stop 1874 is my nemesis.

Yrt app is always 5-8 minutes early from the actual time
Useless app so far.
App keeps kicking me out, please get this fixed!
Way more stable than it used to be. It's a great app, the real time info seems to work great for the routes I use.
Cause it ain't accurate enough dawg
Also the tracking is very punctual too...
I haven't been able to use this for past three days won't open.
Force closes all the time, I haven't been able to use it correctly once
Went from working well to not working at all.
The best app to use for ur daily bus commute is CityMapper !
Completely fails to deliver schedules reliably
Stick to google

Never accurate. Time UI is strange and not presented well. i.e. A bus arrives at 5pm, the listing later gets removed and I see that the next bus is coming in 20min do I decide to leave as the 5pm bus is late by 10min. However, It just shows up with no warning causing me to miss it.
