Use this Official City of Winnipeg app to find your residential street snow zone, as well as info about when your street will be plowed during a residential parking ban.
A residential parking ban is called to facilitate the City’s snow clearing response to an extreme snowfall. All residential streets are assigned a snow zone; each snow zone is identified by a letter of the alphabet. Zones are plowed in 12-hour shifts, around-the-clock. Parking is only prohibited on residential streets during the 12-hour period when a zone is scheduled for clearing.

This app is horrible it doesn't show you that you have snow clearing in your area. App keeps freezing. Better to check on line that use this crappy app

So I happen to know that my street is a snow route. When you search my address though, it says "no winter parking restrictions at this time." That is absolutely false, anytime you search a snow route address between Dec 1 and Feb 28, it should say "snow route, no parking 2-7 AM." Seems like a good app otherwise but this is a huge oversight

The app may not be as polished as other apps, but it works. I added two addresses in zones D and G to the favorites in the app and I received notifications for up coming parking bans in each zone. It seems other reviewers are angry the app didn't alert them about parking on a snow route. I don't think this app does that. You still need to pay attention to the street signs when parking.

How do you install an app with your hard earned time and data, check your zone before parking and received a message "Currently there is no residential parking ban in place" only to wake up, just one night, no snow 1st December 2016, to find a $100 fine on your wind shield? They should have said "do not install, we don't mean what we display". I feel so annoyed and cheated. Getting an adjudicator is a waste of time and hence forth I will not trust any or other apps from the city. Period. Return my money pls

Yup, me too! I woke up to a big fat yellow ticket on my car this morning and the app said no restrictions at this time (which means it was safe to park without getting a ticket). What a joke! I'm pissed off!

Why is there a suggestion on the city's website to download an app that does not work? It doesn't seem to even know what zone I'm in; all I get is N/A. Brutal.

Message comes up that this device is not supported. Intel processors are not supported. Fyi the Know Your Zone app by Hot Dang works fine. Cityof Wpg's lousy IT department strikes again!

App is a great idea but interface design is straight out of 1995 and background battery usage is off the charts.
