Freedom Mobile My Account for Android
Freedom Mobile is the BEST mobile Carrier in Canada. I have been a very loyal customer for several years now and I am extremely happy with the service. Their LTE Network is truly amazing, I regularly get speeds of over 50 Mbps Download and 30Mbps Upload. The mobile account app is great since it recognises me by my sim card and I do not have to login Everytime I open the app.
The app didn't work initially when Freedom took over. It took months for them to get it together. Fortunately now it's working like it was before. Great job!!
I can log online but cannot log on this app . Keeps giving me " Connection Timed Out. Please check your connection and try again." even though I have 4 bar data . Called 611 , I was told to uninstall and install the app but still same problem. Went to Freedom store and clerk told me to keep doing what I was told to do by 611 . Sad ! Edited on March 28 After 4 uninstall and installing it is finally working and I am changing my one star rating to 4 stars.
I'll tell you ever since you switched from wind to freedom I've had limited service, I got from you a Sony Xperia XA ultra and it won't connect 70% of the time but yet you keep wanting your money, you absolutely do not care about your customers, it's funny when I got the phone under wind LTE worked great but when you switched so did the service, I have been trying to get you resolve this issue but you don't care as long as your paid, mostly I'm using WiFi to use my phone so why am I paying you, soon I will get legal advice and have you answer why
I have no complaints about this app does and shows what I need . It's been my experience you need a decent phone and coverage area to enjoy freedom. For me my home and work are covered great but for some might have one and not the other so really have to test first before you get a plan.
App used to work until the last update. Now nothing...Simple app that used to be easy and great is now useless
It worked fine this morning but since the update I get "loading error" and can no longer log in
App does what it should do. If it doesn't work for you after they changed their name from Wind. You need to update the app
Wont even connect when I try to pay my bill. Now I have to go to the store like some savage.
Please add the option to add your credit card on the app! :)
Cant login to my account after they changed to freedom... Always says connection timeout and to check connection...
I like this app
To be honest, I like wind (freedom) mobile. Great prices and great customer service. However the cell coverage can be a bit dicey and the Internet can be bottle necked/ throttled but I still believe you get what you pay for. If you want top notch coverage then go to bell/Rogers/Telus and pay twice the amount for very little. Shaw is implementing LTE by Nov 27th so I'm assuming things will get better for sure.
But now your app dosen't even work I can't log in to the app and now i have to go onto the internet and it only sometimes works been trying all morning so far and all it says is loading. A little bit upset cause I've been with you guys for the last couple years before you decided to change your name I liked your "wind" was better than this "freedom" every since u started changing stuff my phones not working the same and ur app sucks now wish I could delete my update
When Wind first became Freedom I followed their instructions, uninstalled the app and installed a new one - it started working. For some time. Then it stopped working again, constantly giving 'timed out' error on log in. I called Freedom again, they said to uninstall it, however this app has no uninstall option! When I go both to Google store and to Application settings on my Android I can only disable an app. Thus I have a useless app on my phone that I can't log in to and I cannot uninstall either.
Never been able to access the app. It keeps saying my pin is wrong, and it says connection timed out every time I try Forgot Pin. Judging from dissatisfied reviews going back to November, it's not just me having this problem. Would give 0 stars if it were possible. The website seems to be just as bad with "uh oh! Can't be found!" messages
App used to work very good, but once wind became freedom none of my families androids can open the app. Yes, have updated it. Keep getting "connection timed out". There is not even much roaming Wind coverage in the South Surrey, South Langley area so I assumed it was the poor coverage but at home I still get the same error message via WiFi.
If you choose "Forgot PIN" on the login screen it prompts you for your number then never does anything else, just shows a checkmark. Upon repeating the steps on their mobile site I realized there's a captcha that the app just doesn't load. The text not fitting properly in the boxes is another clear sign this is just a bad repackage of their mobile site. Wind is a decent carrier but this is a terrible app.
Was working ok until name change. Now cannot access Manage Features. Error message Server Down, Try Again Later. Had to phone to disable National Roaming. Will have to phone twice a week until they get this fixed. Very inconvenient.
Can't even update or install the app as you constantly get 505 error regardless what you do... And even when you get the app working, it's slow as old people fornicating. Don't bother with this garbage app and just use the website portal and save it as a bookmark. This app is terrible
I have had problems since Shaw took over and constant trbl trying to sign and password. Keeps telling me I have error what can I do? Called service still same problem. Look forward to reply. Thank you. ...aa
Ever since the Shaw takeover, service has been going downhill quickly. Now that they updated this app to have the new branding, I have yet to get it to load at all. So I need to call in to a customer service team that lies to you nonstop in order to manage my account... Self serve my foot... UPDATE: Still have zero connectivity in the app and I'm forced to call in for everything. I'm not even on a partner network either, and have full signal. Thanks for ruining what used to be a usable app Shaw!
Tell me that wont leave a bad taste in your mouth.... (the scenario goes like this)... Friend: "Whats wrong BoB?" BoB: "Oh its just my Freedom phone!" Friend: "What about it?" BoB: "They are throttling my data connection and boy its slow, they say i went over on my Limited Unlimited Data Plan." Friend: "Sucks to be you."
The app is alright but because they changed their name now my usage screen is all messed up (it doesn't have any times beside freedom network but it has two beside away) and because of that its confusing when it's fixed 5 stars
Service was absolute garbage for the entire year I managed to survive with it. Can't even make phone calls in my apartment. Standing outside in the winter was a blast. Save yourself the trouble, spend a few extra dollars, and go with any other carrier.
After 10th try, I got in. Logged out and logged in jus to see if it's fluid but twice it's logged me in and stuck at terms conditions page, second login finally get in.
The app was perfect until the Wind to Freedom Mobile name change. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come. Hopefully the app gets fixed as soon as possible. As of right now however, viewing and/or changing plans and add-ons isn't possible. A error message is introduced on every attempt since the name change. It states something along the lines of not being able to access the server. It's a real bumber to deal with having to go to a store to make plans and/or add-ons adjustments.
Everymonth I have to pay more than what i was supposed to. In addtion to that I have to call the customer service to adjust the wrong calculation that have done on my monthly plan. I don't trust them. I have been with the previous (wind). It was bad connection bad service, but the so called freedom mobile is really the worst ever service in the phone and mobile company. I will never recommend it even for my enemy.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling this app to make it work. The app refuses to connect, it always says "connection timed out". I've tried over wifi and through data, still no luck.
Was ok until it was updated to freedom now I can't even log into the stupid useless app. Always connection timed out regardless if i am on the super duper freedom network or even via WiFi. I would give it 0 stars of I could. Uninstalling
Terrible. Since rebranding to Freedom, this app won't even work, and because it's factory installed on my device, I can't uninstall/reinstall to attempt a fix.
I can't believe you disabled the old app just because you changed your company name. Also not impressed that I not only need a new phone to get LTE, I need a new plan.
All I get is "connection timed out" EVERY time since updating the app. Can we fix this so I can..oh I dunno, pay my bill!!
Connection timed out.. i uninstalled and reinstall the app still having the same issue. And pls don't blame my wifi.
I went into a store and bought what would turn out to be a defective screen saver - it came off a day later. A few days later, with a receipt, they will not replace the defective screen saver. Shaw taking this over was supposed to make this company better. Obviously not. Pay the extra money for a company and service that works - Bell, Rogers, etc.
New name, same borderline-inept staff. The app doesn't even sign in now, it just sits there after the login screen spinning, spinning, spinning...
Despite the app looking clean and beautiful, it rarely functions properly but never functions when I need it most. The website is just as unreliable.
Can't log in, keep getting the message "Connection Timed Out. Please check your connection and try again." But works fine in browser.. So it's a useless app that's getting deleted..
It won't let me log in, I got a new phone and now the app just says connection time out error? Makes it pretty useless, it wasn't great before either but I could pay my bill at least.

The app and their website have all of their dates shifted by one day. It's been months since I contacted them and they still haven't fixed it.
