What are users saying about r-Slash for reddit [Beta]

T70%
by T####:

This is a pretty good app even though it is in beta. The only thing bugging me is that I can't see all of my subreddits.

T70%
by T####:

If only I could see that in the app. I can't see posts, and the side menu doesn't work when sliding and takes 10 clicks to open, larger text stuck on, etc. This has potential, but has a lot of wrinkles to iron out.

T70%
by T####:

About 8 months with no updates. Is this abandoned?

H70%
by H####:

App looks very nice. Loving the personal customization of profile picture and cover along with the way thumbnails work on posts.

F70%
by F####:

The app with best UI but worst performance

X70%
by X####:

not lagging after latest update, still, far from being good, no swipe gestures, can't even close app with back. it's not 1999 anymore

D70%
by D####:

Still can't swipe to open the menu, no way to tell which posts have already been read, no way to quickly navigate between posts via swiping, and doesn't utilize Material spec

T70%
by T####:

Can very easily become one of the best. It does have some minor performance issues and bugs but the concept is fantasic.

T70%
by T####:

Extremely laggy and doesn't show previews

T70%
by T####:

Really great reddit app. It has its flaws and isn't as smooth as the refined ones that have been out. The developer is very responsive and seems to be passionate about the project, so I have high hopes for future features.

G70%
by G####:

It LOOKS "material" but it doesn't function very much like it. I wanted to play with it before adding my account details. Unfortunately, nothing would load into the timeline.I know it's in "beta", but it functions like alpha.

T70%
by T####:

Add more features and polish, and you could possibly be one of the best reddit apps.

A70%
by A####:

Love it but it's a bit too slow loading stuff. Love the feel of it though

T70%
by T####:

Responsive dev. Hope this grows into my main reddit app

T70%
by T####:

Needs at least the option to display regular weight type.

S70%

The app with best UI but worst performance

S70%

Can't make subreddits

T70%
by T####:

Beautiful UI, bad UX

T70%
by T####:

A great ui

T70%
by T####:

Dev was responsive in explaining the shortcomings. It's unfortunate and disappointing but understandable. However, still believe that should be an option to exit the app instead of using the home button, maybe an additional option within FAB. As it is now, every time starting the app, you have to refresh to see the latest posts.

Many many features are missing. Ugly website interface, but it's new so I'm sure this has a lot of potential. Some features that I would like: slide from the left to open that side bar with the subreddits, thumbnails and cards even with amoled theme on sort of like sync for reddit, NO LAG, change the theme and colors, ability to upvote without opening it, in app YouTube and imgur viewing, ablity to hide posts, filters, in amoled theme, make the text colors lighter, zooming in on posts, sorting subreddits.

T70%
by T####:

I want to give this a test run but it runs like a slideshow on my nexus 6p, stock Android marshmallow. It looks great but some features are still missing.

T70%
by T####:

Long titles are so small and thin which makes it hard to read even when the large text option is enabled. Other than that, I can't wait for it to be my main reddit app.

T70%
by T####:

No problems, Nexus 6P

E70%
by E####:

This could easily become one of the best reddit apps. Here's a few suggestions: thumbnails need to be brighter (hard to see), it needs to pull more than 25 subs when I log in, and it would be cool if I could slide to navigate (left to right for side bar and right to left for comments or something). I can't wait to see what the future holds for this app!

T70%
by T####:

Some glitches are there but it has a beautiful UI and works well

T70%
by T####:

Switching to this as my main Reddit app, hoping to see multi account feature soon!

T70%
by T####:

I sent you a logcat. Please look at that.

T70%
by T####:

It's unusable due to the lag while scrolling. And needs more features like jumping through comment chains, thumbnails, etc... This app has the potential to be the best app out there

T70%
by T####:

Can very easily become one of the best. It does have some minor performance issues and bugs but the concept is fantasic.

T70%

Donate/Upgrade button not working on Nexus 6.

T70%

Signed in but missing several subreddits I'm subscribed to

T70%
by T####:

I really want to like this, I really did, because I wanted to replace my reader. At this moment I don't have a dedicated one. Right off the bat you can't swipe from left to right to reveal the menu. Once reviewing the menu, it's a bit laggy. I really like the look and hope these basic features will be added.

W70%
by W####:

Doesn't load any posts for me but I understand that this app is in beta, unlike some of the ignorant users here who are leaving one star "reviews". This seems to be the best looking Reddit client on Android. Although, I would like to see an AMOLED mode where all the grey UI elements are black. Can't wait for the finished product. Keep it up. =] Edit: Thanks for adding the AMOLED theme, looks great. Unfortunately, posts still do not load, but I guess it's to do with my ancient Galaxy S2...

P70%
by P####:

Smooth, simple and fluid. This app is really what I would want from a Reddit app. Dark mode is really good as text is not so bright. Love the design. Really thought out through.

W70%
by W####:

I have a Galaxy s5. I can't login, the text on the menus is skewed, the app is super laggy and unresponsive, and the controls are non-intuitive. There are no gesture controls. The text is all tiny. I'll stick with Relay, thanks.

T70%
by T####:

Aesthetics are good, and the functionality of a normal Reddit app is mostly there. Has so much potential. Hope to see many more features in the future!

P70%
by P####:

I can't quickly scroll down subreddits or comments without it lagging. I can't even access the nav bar without it running so slowly, opening a image takes seconds.... Impossible to use.
