Stud Detector

I give it a thumbs down it doesn't really work I installed the walls myself and this app could not find a stud where I put them at studs are 16 Center this app could not find them so I give it thumbs down so I installed it.

Didn't work bad instructions

Doesn't find any studs and too many ads. I even placed it directly on a stud and screw and didn't even get a reading.

Total crap!!!!!

I live in a very old tiny Studio Cottage and I was having a difficult time finding the studs to hand a tv wall mount. This app actually found the studs and I was able to hang it with no problem. The ads didn't bother me because everybody in this life needs to get paid somehow. Thanks

First you have to find where the magnetometer is in your phone. Attn: idiots, most coins aren't made of magnetic materials. A coin won't work. If you're smart enough to design a stud finder you should be smart enough to know that. Since the ads suck and your app doesn't work I'd say your 0 for 3.

Not real. When you flipped your phone up, red lights would come on no matter where you were. I tested it in my garage where studs are painted already........no!

I can't say for sure if I'd call this a good app because ads pop over the app screen while I was trying to use it. I can't even say for sure it's not a novelty app (meaning non working but looks cool) but I gave it 3 stars because it lit up green within an inch of the stud, which I found basically by measuring from a window in 16 inch increments. I'll probably uninstall it now but it was fun to try.

Well I tried to make it work got the green light found the stud area red lights and all super easy to use, however I am going to uninstall it and not use it because even though you say you have removed ads and you have a remove ad button in the apt that takes you to an area to buy this apt and if you don't buy it you get an ad every time you touch any button on the apt this is unfortunate because it seemed like it was a apt that would work so to save my phone battery and not have to look at ads I will just go to Home depot and buy a stud finder sorry your loss

Zipped a screw through a wire in between two studs. Could not detect wood stud unless there was metal nearby

This ad while you are trying to hang a mirror as f******* ridiculous! No I don't want to date Asians near me!!! I want to hang a f****** mirror!!! Hate this app with a passion. Cant even find the metal and that's what it's made for! This sucks erase this because you are wasting your time!

It's a joke.

I live in a 117 year old home that still has lathe boards which has plenty of nails in each stud. To bad your stud finder app could not find a single stud on ant wall i went to. I say back to the drawing board for your app an make it work for older homes.

I tried it but every time I picked it up the sensor just went crazy, I guess I must be...a stud. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!1!!

This app thinks everything is a piece of metal. A screw, a piece of plastic, a piece of drywall with nothing in it or behind it.... The led was always green. Worthless.

After reading the comments, I installed other apps which didn't work, just did a bunch of holes on the wall. So I tried this one and it was better I finally found the stud. THIS ONE IS GOOD!

It might be that my phone has no coresponding sensor, but in that case, app should check that on install, right? Anyway, it is not usable for me.

doesn't work don't waste your time nor money

No legit stud finder in the app store they are all garbage and don't work don't put holes in you're wall. Need to find a stud go buy a real stud finder from Lowe's or Menards. Real contractors will say the same thing.

Beeped at everything! It still didn't work holding it against the wall and moving slowly. It just kept beeping. I ended up just tapping the wall and listening until I found the stud.
