Best Canadian weather app! The only thing I'd like to see if an option to change data to Imperial / F°

Not sure why this app has such a high rating. Most inacurate and constant change in predicted forecast, also least accurate weather app I've ever seen.

No need to further bloat or enhance the GUI. App working amazing and icing on the cake is no annoying advertisements. Uses "Environment. Canada" as source for data hence always correct and accurate.

Done it again, 5 stars, congrats. This app is very simple, straight forward, well organized, distinguished day and night temperatures by different colour, good functioning widget and the App is EXTREMELY FAST. Like it so much.

I would be a lot happier if you offered the option to switch to Fahrenheit as other apps do. Celsius means nothing to me. :(

This is my favorite Canadian weather app. I like that it uses Environment Canada data & not accuweather data. Environment Canada seems to be more accurate in my province. Being FREE with no adds or purchaces is an absolute bonus for an app of this caliber. Developer seems to keep on top of bugs and issues updates as required. Not that any improvements are necessary, but if I had to nitpick I would suggest a lock screen display option and the ability to sort/manually rearrange stored locations.

The most accurate Canadian weather on Android, hands down. And the Gadget is the killer feature. All the other weather apps would tell me it's sunny when it's pouring rain!!! Also excellent for frequent domestic travellers as you can quickly switch between your favourite places!

Recently uninstalled the Weather Network app because it's boated and useless. Tried out 3 or 4 new ones and this is the one that I'm sticking with. The app is lightweight, the widget stays up to date, it doesn't require superfluous security permissions, and it's not constantly prompting me to turn on location. This weather app is exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect. Great job, devs!

Only my second 5** rating ever; wow! **Simple and effective. **No ads! **Free! **Info directly from the horse's mouth, Environment Canada. (Was using TWN app for >3 yesrs; it just keeps getting worse with so much junk info! Please don't do that!) **Bonus: I now have a beautiful Canadian flag icon on my desktop!

Overall I really like this app. Ever since The Weather Network changed their UI I've been looking for something better. The only problem I've noticed is that the widget doesn't update its icon for the current forecast. It's just a grey bubble with a ? In the middle.

My favourite weather app. Brief and to the point. Has everything I want to know and is mostly accurate (sometimes there are local differences - e.g. drizzle vs. light rain). Local radar is easy to access. Can easily change to another city - e.g. travel destination.

Long time user on many devices. The only app I install. Uses Environment Canada's weather forecast and current readings. You can't beat EC. No commercial compromises. No motivation to torque the forecasts to sensationalise the weather. Just the facts. If you want excitement choose one of the "professional" weather hucksters like AccuWeather or the Weather Network. They'll tell you what you WANT to hear, not what you NEED to hear.

(updated) Widget fails to render consistently on Pixel/Android 7.1.2. Sometimes current temperature is obscured by other readings; other times nothing is displayed at all. I still trust your app for reliable EC forecasts. I'm sure you'll resolve this.

Love it. Only little issue I've come across is the lack of room when the widget is 4x1 on Tuesday nights. Wednesday and Wednesday night are so wide it blocks out the current weather info. Maybe update with abbreviated day names...not sure. Other than that minor thing, best weather app for Canada IMO.

Used to be my 'go to' weather app but it's pretty much useless for forecasting in Southern Ontario now as well as the wrong graphic is regularly used. Jokingly, I've been saying go with the opposite of the forecast. For example: today was supposed to be sunny with a sun graphic. Instead, overcast and pouring rain with thunderstorms in the evening... Looking for a new app WX forecasting app now.

I like it. It's a good, basic, uncomplicated app. And because the info comes from Environment Canada, it actually is fairly accurate! (Especially compared to the weather network...) However, I do wish that there was a section of it dedicated to barometric pressure and how it is trending. Yes, it is listed under current conditions, but that's it. You have no feel for what it has been doing, compared to what it is currently doing, compared with what it is projected to do. I have been looking and looking for a good app to give me local barometric pressure data that is retrieved from a local weather station, but that just does not seem to exist anywhere. All apps I find want to turn my phone into a barometer. And most phones don't have barometric pressure sensors- so it's totally ridiculous! Since you are already getting your other data directly from Environment Canada, I would seriously recommend you add a barometric pressure component into your app using that data from them as well. Nobody else is doing it, so this would definitely help your app stand out even further. I would also like to suggest/request including the measurement of kPa, as that is what every single weather forcast for the layman includes. So that is what regular folks will be most familiar with and understand the best. (They understand it better than mbar or mmHg, for example.)

This is an easy quick app to help you put you out with the day. The weather radar lets you know when bad weather is coming. I've heard there have been glitches, but this app has never had a problem.

I enjoy the simplicity of the design, and being able to switch from right now to 24 hr. I have been noticing that the actual temp right now is not the same as right now in the 24 hour area. (I've been waiting until its cool enough to open the windows in the evening).

I jus installed the app, so I need more to time to evaluate properly. However there are 2 things that are clearly missing. A. Fahrenheit Temps, for those of us from the states. B. An hourly forecast, that will tell me when the snow will start.

Simple easy to use and tells me all I need to know! I got sick and tired of how inaccurate Accuweather was and this was the only app that seemed to have consistantly good reviews. I can see why. Sometimes dimple is best. If it aint broke, dont fix it. This will be my go to weather app from now on. I am uninstalling Accuweather...

Can only find major cities and towns in Canada. Useless for small towns or countryside areas. A location maybe 26 km away might seem close enough, but it's not! That town has completely different weather than I get. Even the basic USA geared built-in weather app can find me and give me basic weather conditions in the middle of nowhere, yet this is supposed to be a Canadian based app. Weather Underground (American based) does a far better job - always freakishly correct - uses Environment Canada resources far more efficiently.

It would be helpful to have different size options for the widget and be able to change the background colour of the widget and not just the app. It bugs me that it doesn't go all the way across the screen. Makes the print too small. A larger widget, even 5 x 2 would allow for additional display of info, too. A little glitchy when it comes to adding the widget to my hone screen, butt nothing I couldn't finagle. Just had to do it a couple of times for it to display right. Otherwise, this app is a zillion times better than the AccuWeather or whatever app that came with my phone. It was constantly pinging for location even though I had already chosen my city. And its accuracy left much to be desired. I love the simplicity of this one, and trust the data source. And no ads. Yay!

Can never seem to get the weather correct. Never look more than 2 hours ahead as every few hours the forecast changes. Not proactive in forecasts..just reactive to conditions at present. Sad.

Nice but needs better widgets and more updated modern and cleaner ui. Would be nice to see widgets with multiple day forecast (5 day) and fix the widgets screen to not use up so much spacing because it just looks silly

Omg I love it , no ads never tells lies cause other whether app lies but this one is one of the best app I probaly have on my phone that's not a game and that is actually usefull

I like the app (its free and quick) but It could use location better. It does not recognise my town and it would be helpful travelling to be able to drill down on a road map

May not be the prettiest but it sure is the best and most informative Canadian weather app. No ads, lightning fast (pun intended), great widget, radar and dark theme with custom icons.

Great little app. I use it to decide what to wear before I go outside into this crazy weather. Longer predictions are not always accurate. Must be climate change. Oops, I forgot, that's only a theory. Sorry!

I use this app all the time. It gives me accurate weather when I need it. It is always working for me and has been on my phone for years. It is one of the apps I use almost daily. Keep up the good work.

Really really wish it listed temperature normals for the period like the website page does. Also wish you could get area radar rather than just a single station. You used to be able to do that on the webpage but don't know if you still can. Radar now seems locked to your area and can't select other areas!?

Very poor I've received weather warning after the event has happened...how is this a warning? Very poor air quality statements as well as zero wind warnings that change the actual forecast. Not reliable and not trustworthy! As I work outside it's important to have a proper forecast to plan my day safely.

Excellent app, appears to be the most private app on Google Play with the most reasonable permissions. All the other apps appear to be data snooping. This is worth a donation. Sure wish there was a widget for it.

This app does weather only. I am tired of all the other apps that give me news and other I do not want when I am checking weather. I will make donation so I don't get adds I don't need or want. Great work.

The ONLY trustable radar in Canada! I use it before golf and never got failed! Thanks for implementing it into an app as I used to use it through browser! Thank you Dev! A1

Pretty simple and easy to use. Most other weather apps bloat themselves with pointless content or horrible interfaces. Since all weather data is given by environment Canada this apps forecast is as accurate as any other.

I never rate apps but this one is excellent. Lots of detail and no advertisements. It also links directly to environment Canada's Doppler radar. 5 stars.

Predicts the weather better then most. No ads! Nothing flashing in your face. Doesn't need all your info. Simple and gets to the point without all the clutter.

I guess it's a nice app, but doesn't work on my device, even with all permissions on, still no data to show, and no internet conection error messages. Also missing small villages from your list:location not found // (G530W running on AOSP CM13 Nightly_droid 6.1 :(

When your job revolves around the weather, this is a handy app to have. Only small gripe is that in order to check the radar in a different area, you have to add it to your list.

GET THIS ONE! SIMPLE, EASY, NO B.S. went to this one after a more "mainstream" app chose to hire a 12 year old girl to redo everything, and add more adds and "features". Very happy with the makers work.
