Flow Velocity

Fluid velocity is an important parameter needed for design and evaluation of piping systems or inlet nozzles of industrial equipment, such as process tanks, heat exchangers, etc.

This App allows user to quickly calculate the average flow velocity based on flow rate and pipe dimension. Through a graphical picker, you can select a pipe size from a list of standard NPS pipes, and the App will automatically determine the inside diameter for the calculation based on pipe ND and pipe schedule.

User can conveniently choose preferred input and output units directly besides each input box and on the result panel.

Please note that this App is also available as part of a prepackaged Heat Exchanger Toolbox. Before downloading this App, please check to see if the toolbox is better suited for your needs.
