REALTOR.ca for Android
The 'realtor.ca' site allows you to sign in and add properties to your favourites. Then you launch the app and realize there's no way to sync up with the web app. All usability goes out the window.
Updates dont seem to improve any bugs and the latest bug is keeping me from login altogether! I gave 3 stsrs when I first started uding this app. It dropped to 2 stars after several updates. Now it is 1 star. I wish I could give -3 stars!
Can't view Sq. Footage via app; No zoom option for the property pics?? Landscape view causes pics to become even smaller??? ARE YOU FOR REAL???
So you want to save some listings to keep an eye on them to see if the price drops. You can do that, the only problem is if you go to that list the price drops dont update until you actually go into that listing again. Even then it doesnt show the updated prices in the list view. Also crashes, a lot. Tried to reach out to developers to let them know but they didnt seem to care.
Is there a way to change settings to read the lot and house size in square feet as opposed to meters? I think this would be helpful for most users. Thank you.
I agree with common complaints raised (especially realtors neglecting to mention square footages) but probably isn't fair to fault the app for deficiencies of the MLS system. Encountered minor bugs and performance issues (even rang the wrong realtor as app mismatched with previously viewed listing) but overall quite decent. Missing functionalities: clearing history without removing one by one + search UI is super laggy with unintuitive saving + no new listings alert + no drawable boundaries (cf. Redfin app)
A very useful tool but. When in a border town like Ottawa I should be able to filter out results for Québec. Also when i select 4 bedrooms I should be able to skip the 3+1... 3+1 is not 4 bedrooms... Its 3+1
Click a listing on map view and the screen moves removing the area you set to search. Always have to reset view
This app is so frustrating :( has a great concept but doesn't work to its greatest potential. I have built up am account online with all my favorite homes picked and when I use the app I have no sign in option. The website is not good on a mobile phone and the app don't link up.... hope this gets fixed ASAP.
New update, app opens then closes and says unfortunately this app has stopped. Samsung Galaxy s5 this app rarely works even after new updates what a waste!
Would be great but crashes sometimes. So much to load but it's great. So useful. Gives great info. Can save favorites. Can look up the map. Very well organized and easy to use. I'd give a 5 star to fix the occasional crash.
Everytime i try to look at my favorites the app crashes and its frustrating. I want to look at my favorite places again.
Barely works and when it does it is extremely not user friendly. Will be uninstalling promptly.
I am surprised that there is no better app for Canadian real estate than this app. It is the best out there even if best means with issues. Try to improve....
... guessing the comments are older versions or from retards as most of the negs are covered in the app...
I really don't know what i should start with... Messy
It doesn't sync with your other devices, and the listings are a day behind. The interface is decent though. Eventually it'll probably be quite useful, but at the moment it's too crippled to recommend.
Slow as molasses. Gives semis when searching for detached. UI needs work
Very inconsistent. Some search aspects work great while other functions seem like they are in a development stage. Potential to be a powerful tool.
Couldn't use it as it didn't work. Disappointing.
Not interested in buying or selling just want to know pricing around here. If I get any promotional advertising will uninstall and spam the sender.
No option to sign in to sync with desktop account. Square footage shows up in m2. Pretty buggy
Samsung s6 w the latest update (2.1.0) and now it won't load anything, it crashes before it loads any listings. Worked perfectly before update???
I desperately want to love this app, because the mobile browser version is so clunky, but v2.1 won't even open on my sg6. v2 worked intermittently at least. v2.1 won't even move past the opening screen. Gets stuck indefinitely at "updating listings". Infuriating when I'm trying to look something up on the road. Back to the awful browser version, I guess.
Worked good until the update. Now just a screen saying welcome to the new updated app. Good bye!
Gave this app another chance and was pleasantly surprised. The old bugs seem to be corrected. This is much better then trying to navigate with browser now... Thanks!!!
Its helping me find places im looking for. Yes u gotta work around the filters, but its worth the effort. Although sometimes i feel there arent the latest updates on the properties or some of them which my agent sends me are not on here.. So i feel u do need an agent to work ont he side. Esp when it comes to buying properties.. But a great app..
The only app on my phone that doesn't want to work consistently
Hello Canada. This is your friendly neighbor to the south in the big mitten. Thank you for allowing me to see my options as I watch the.... election....
A good start, but needs some work to merit a higher rating. I'm grateful that this app exists, but would be nice to see improvements take place soon.
Terrible app. Leaves out tons of options to cut down on properties not interested in vs the desktop. Also the desktop version won't work on a tablet. Basically they want you to download their crappy app or else. Realtors should get wise to this, losing out on sales cause of this app.
Cannot filter by sq ft, pet, rental. Basic stuff missing.
A little hard to select variables. I don't like that when clicking on a property it centers it on the map taking you away from other potential properties. But it does show you pictures prices and places.
No commercial listings? No sharing options except email? This organization has been around for a long time. I ( and thousands of others) would rate it 5 stars if the developer would take 3 whole days and add these necessary features. And if the features exist, where are they? It's 2017. Professionals have been mobile for 25 years already. This app is not ready for us.
Allows you to find just about anything you want but unfortunately a ton of crap you don't. Just try looking for a 2 bedroom condo in Toronto. 99% of what you get is 1 + 1 condos where the +1 part is the corner of the kitchen that the agent deems a den. It is not a bedroom and could never be. Please change the search function to ignore "dens" and this will an okay app.
Works well for finding and looking at properties. Can be choppy, and freezes occasionally. Frustrating that listings can't be shared like other apps, but instead an email address has to be entered, like it's 2007! Main concern, however, is that it doesn't sync with the desktop account, so it's impossible to mark a property on the phone and look closer at home without searching again.
For all those complaining about measurements being in meters, hate to break the news to you but we live in Canada where the metric system (note same derivative as the word meter) is used. Pull out a calculator and do some conversions. Also, many Realtors don't list the square footage of a home. Don't blame the app for that, blame overpaid Realtors.
For the love of God, use square feet! Clicking a listing briefly shows Sq ft but them changes to Sq m. Who the he'll uses square meters for houses in Canada? Fix it
The app simply doesn't work. I tried to use the "Properties near me" feature. After several minutes of the app freezing up, it crashes. Couldn't view a single property.

The list view doesn't work on my phone. People who are looking for sq feet instead of meter: you can change the settings in the menu, go to "My preferences" and select imperial metrics.
