About Memory Story Flashcards S Pen

Memory Story is a flash card app with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. Create cards as easily as you would on paper but with the benefits of digital flash cards. Memory Story schedules your cards using spaced repetition to help you retain your knowledge.

* Draw your flash cards using the Samsung S Pen
* Replay your flash cards to see stroke order which is especially useful for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc
* Create math flash cards without the complex LaTeX syntax
* Easily review your cards at any time
* Memory Story's UI looks like it belongs on modern Android

Device Compatability:
This app only works on devices manufactored by Samsung. This is because it is using the Samsung S Pen SDK for drawing. The only officially supported devices are the Samsung Galaxy Note 1 & 2. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 seems to work for some people. If you purchase the app and it isn't working for you, please contact me and I can issue a refund.

Fully functional and unique app. But there is lots of room for improvement. Every tap essentially = crash. Used to be more stable.

I've been searching for an app like this for years, so happy it exists! An export and sync function would make it great for people who have more than one Note ;-)

As someone who prefers manually writing out flashcards, this app's S Pen functionality makes it essential. Thankfully (since this seems to be the only S Pen flashcard app available), my experience has been very positive. It's a shame that the app hasn't been updated in a long time, but it still manages to fill its specific niche.

Good but need to be able to select which side you see first when reviewing. At the moment you can only choose to see side A first. I'd like to be able to see side B first as well.

Works great on Note 10 and is perfect for learning Maths formulas and other science stuff that needs a bit of drawing. Absolutely worth it!

Bought thinking that developer had incorporated previous suggestion to make full screen cards. You end up with a postage stamp sized area to try to put notes, great idea horrible implementation.

App installed fine and works well on my Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000. Clean layout, so much nicer to use than other flashcard apps I've tried. Thanks!

Would like to export to other apps like quizlet. So I could study using my phone .

I use this app on my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and it works really well. The only feature I wish it had is the ability to insert images into the cards. I'm a terrible artist, so drawing pictures to learn new vocabulary is sometimes just counter-productive for me, but I still want to write the words out myself (as opposed to typing them). Otherwise this apps works great.

Please consider the following features: - An easy sort/edit view to scroll through created cards - sync with mobile, desktop, and tablet - ability to erase and use different colors when writing in review mode - ability to flag/star cards that are important or need to be reviewed later - having lined cards for easy writing and graphing card templates Nice product though, the best one I was able to find that allows S pen writing!

This app works perfectly! It is just what I wanted and works well with the note 10.1. Makes studying and creating flashcards easy (rather than trying to take type them out on a tablet). I would like to see a 'view all' mode where you can go through many cards at once, which is helpful if you're not sure if you already made that card. Also, being able to change the colors of cards would be nice.

Great app, but a few things are keeping this app from becoming my end-all-be-all study tool –when I switch apps or lock the screen, I lose everything that was on the card I was writing on. Multi-screen functionality for writing apps makes it a bit less of a problem than it was before, but it's still an inconvenience not being able to take a break from writing a card because the screen might timeout –Subfolders. If there were 3 levels of folders, I could make a lot of decks for various subjects over the course of a semester, keep them organized, and study them at the end of the year. But without subfolders (or being able moving decks for that matter) it's just not possible to keep decks organized enough to even bother trying –there should be a way to find cards withing decks to edit them Edit: Thanks for responding. I actually hadn't used the app since the semester ended in mid-may. Didn't realize my only remaining issue was the one of subfolders. Keep up the great work! It's much appreciated EDIT: SELL THIS APP OR SOMETHING. I STILL USE IT AND IT'S NOT GETTING BETTER. PLEASE

This is exactly what I was looking for as a study aid, I can finally make electronic note cards with all the short-hand I can't use when typing. There are a few things which could make it better: an option to leave the drawing tools open (useful for larger screens), the ability to flip the cards for studying (show side B first), an easier way to edit existing cards and the ability to copy cards ***Edit: No more cards saved as black specks! But there's still some serious lag if the app is open too long.***

My only wish is for a minimized window update, so I can dual screen what I am writing the flashcards off of, instead of flipping back and forth to my ochem reactions As a sidenote: best app on my tablet!! I took a leap of faith by buying it- there is only a few photos of the app and no one has done a walkthrough for it on youtube- but I am very impressed by different pen styles, the flashcard capabilities, and how this is the best s-pen flashcard app I've seen. Totally worth $5 instead of the continuous purchases of real-life flashcards.

Needs to be able to rotate the screen so that it's the size of the 3x5 typical note card then it would be perfect. If u think about writing flash cards you write the first side and then the second size they don't need to be on the same screen at the same time. I have a galaxy s3 which has a decent size screen. you write on side one hit flip and write the answer how hard is that to untegrate into the app? This app has the potential to be great but right now it is not useful at all

Can't edit cards (specifically side B using the flip feature) without the app crashing on my galaxy note 10.1 2014. Fix the issue and I will remove this review. App has a lot of potential. Please fix bugs.

Generally the app is great. It is a lot simpler than any flash card apps I have seen. And the ability to ignore finger input is an awesome feature. Still, the app is pretty unstable and often appears to struggle to do a few things. I cannot edit a card from the "Browse Cards" menu without it crashing (I can edit the card in the Review ## cards, but it takes a while to get to the one I want). Luckily, I have not lost any cards in a crash. Other than stability issues, this app could add more features and still remain simple. I would appreciate many of the features found in the LectureNotes app (a note taking app specializing in the S-Pen), such as cut/copy/paste, an undo button, and an export to pdf button (customizable). I would also like the option to insert text boxes as well. Finally, I have a Note 2 and a Note 10. It is really hard to make these on the Note 2, but It would be nice to review them on the Note 2 after making them on the Note 10. I'm not sure if the files are cross device compatible.

Love this app, clean interface, easy to use and learn, S Pen functionality works great with my Note 10.1. The ONLY downside to this app in compairison with any other app that allows S Pen functionality is: I cannot share my decks, I want to make my deck on Note 10.1 then share the deck with my small phone (Nexus 4) so I can take them every where I go without having to lug the tablet along. If there was some sort of sharing either within the app program itself or through some other host. I have been searching for an app like this and finally found it. Now I may be wrong here I am not tech savvy so I could be wrong, please let me know and I will make this a 5 star app and ammend my comments. All the other S Pen flashcard apps suck!

The basic idea is excellent and I would buy this app for sure when a couple of little problems are addressed. The disappearing card replaced by black corner dot must be fixed, lost cards are very frustrating. The lack of continuity in orientation is a minor annoyance. Other than that the app will only improve in value with some feature adds -Format export. Perhaps PDF to give printability/shareability -Some kind of thumbnail overview -Ability to subcategorize cards. I intend to input a LOT of cards and want more ability to organise them. But apart from the lost card issue this is already an excellent app for study purposes. I want to support the ongoing development, this is a great idea. Update: Thumbnails now there. Well done! Keep it up.

***Edit: I've been having the same problem as one of the other reviewers: a small number of my cards are saved as tiny specs of black in the corner of a blank card. The developer contacted me and has been trying to find a solution to this. It's nice to have a developer that obviously cares about their users' experience. *** This is exactly what I was looking for as a study aid, I can finally make electronic note cards with all the short-hand I can't use when typing. There are a few things which could make it better: an option to leave the drawing tools open (useful for larger screens), the ability to flip the cards for studying (show side B first), an easier way to edit existing cards or look at the entire deck (to select the card that needs to be edited or to delete a group of cards)

I just downloaded this app but it won't work for me. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what the issue is - but it won't let me write on the cards for some reason. Judging by the other reviews I'm the only person having this issue though. I'm not sure why.

Ive been looking for a good flash card app that allows complex formulas for my math classes and this is perfect! just like real flash cards but much more convenient, plus it automatically shuffles cards for you! Thaaank you!!!!!!!

It was good before the update and now it's even better. The issue of small cards is gone now that you can choose landscape mode. Yes sometimes it can be a little slow for the answer to show but not bad at all, maybe 5 seconds at most. Overall I think this is the best flash cards app in the Google play store and would recommend it to anyone who can write on their screen.

It is a nice app, allow us to create a card with s pen and review it. But it would be far far better if we could type using keypad too.. :) Would you please kindly add this feature and update this app? I will change my rating to 5 once you add that. :) thx.

I have been searching a while for a flashcard app that allows me to hand write each card. Memory Story allows for the perfect integration of hand drawn diagrams, formulas and written words. No longer do I have to follow a limited template or tediously type in LaTex as required by every other flashcard app. There are some apps (two that I've come across) that have drawing implementation, but they lack spaced repetition and are poorly built. Originally I was taken back by the lack of image support and text input, but with handwriting available, I found I don't need them. I would like to see the shape/straight line tool that s-not has, but this is not a requirement. Also, I feel that if maybe the name of the app had the word "flashcard" in it, then I would have found this a long time ago. Thank You for a great app. UPDATE: slow when changing cards.

Let me start by saying that the developer contacted me within an hour, literally, after I posted a bad review. He addressed the issues individually and fixed them. These are the kind of developers everyone should support! The app is very functional. You can make flashcards on the fly, using the S Pen feature. Great for quickly jotting down flashcards as you're reviewing from a text book. Allows multiple decks... What else can I say? It's like real flashcards, but in your galaxy.
