Bupa for Android
Have to enter bank account details every time? Can't store bank account details or just make payment to default account registered with BUPA. Have to manually provide membership number on every claim. The date selection field is a nightmare for anyone born pre-millenium. So much scrolling! I just want to type in the date. Maybe my extras will cover RSI for use of the date wheel in the application?
It has a terribly outdated design and many functions within the app don't even work, i.e., searching for a provider causes the app to crash. Doesn't really provide you any decent information. A largely useless app.
Basically does the same as what google will do - Or for most things you will need to log into your account via the website. It will show you who is covered and level of cover with an ability to claim. That is it for information containing your file. There isn't options to make payments, see payment details, see any previous claims you have made etc. A great app you should learn off is the NIB app, where it has actual uses. While the app worked flawlessly and did what it said - Still pointless...
Before running the app go into your security settings and enable "unknown sources". This was the only way i was able to get the update installed for the Service Providers.
Its just using the web site. Can't even update personal details even though it appears to be an option! Bad. Bad. Bad.
If possible, I'd give a rating less than 0.01 star. What is the use of this app for me when all I can do with it is to check the type of insurance I have (which I already know starting from day 1) and on which date money is going to be deducted from my bank account. It's pretty useless when I have to go to a counter in person to submit a claim whenever I have to.
Completely unable to access any information. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app to no avail. Will update stars when app is fixed.
Im going to change my blady insurance just because you cant offer a proper mobile solution. Been paying around $290++ and this is what we get. An app which you cant even log in.

Bupa need to be ashamed of themselves. The standard of experience in this app really highlights how they approach their business. If I could vote with no stars I would, but the form won't allow it.
I find this app to be so frustrating! It was difficult to set up and then impossible to use to make a claim.
Absolute excuse for an app. It's a badly executed web wrapper. Extremely limited functionality and super slow.
Doesn't work on LG G4. UI is a bit ugly too - at least from the Home screen
You have a native app that's no different to the responsive Website, it's a waste of space

Terrible company. Never put directdebit with them. They keep charging you for ever.

Was hoping for a quick guide to my cover and what my cover is for each item and still have to call. Their is no reason to keep this app...
Won't open when I click to make a claim, has been like this for weeks, I have to keep logging on to the computer
Can't login as my email address is longer than the box allowed.
So far I liked it was quick and easy to make a claim using this app.

Installed app so I can find a preferred provider, but it crashes every time I try! Full website doesn't work either! What good is this part of our membership if we can't actually use it!
Far too basic with inadequate information available. They could take some pointers from other insurance apps (like NIB) that are far superior

Very little. I wanted to check my eligibility for dental and optical since I couldn't remember when I last claimed. There is no facility for this.

No functionality
The app is a very very rudimentary poor quality wrapped web app. It's slow and glitchy with barely any functionality and outdated design. Especially disappointing considering the sleek and responsive myBupa website. Please release a new one!
Its kinda pointless without the list that tells u what you can be covered for but it only tells u your level of claim policy. Really no point in this app
App is just a series of buttons that link you to BUPA's website - which is mostly broken! Once you have logged in (a feat in and of itself), the list of things you can't claim online is extensive and includes... wait for it... this is good... "MEDICAL CLAIMS"! Well done BUPA, it isn't clear what else you thought people might be claiming on their medical insurance, but the website and app you had designed by the work experience kid just won the internet.

Why is it not possible to view the amounts left that can be claimed for a particular type of claim and save us having too call you? ..and STILL no update in this in 3.5 years since the below was posted... Would be good if you could tell what the cover would be if you entered the providers code for the treatment. That way the customer could make an on the spot decision about whether to proceed without having to call bupa to check.
